Beach Bar The location here is pretty excellent. You'll be able to look right out onto the ocean and enjoy a great beach-vibe with live music, palm trees, and an open-air dining setup. Food wise, you'll need to manage your expectations. It's pretty much middle of the road bar food, so if you go knowing that you're pretty much here for modestly price drinks and bar food at a great location, you'll have a good time. The service ruined it for me.... Not only did the girl in the skater skirt practically ignore me, she out right didn't take my food order. I get it, I'm a big girl, maybe her opinion was I didn't need anything. She literally came to take our food order, saw my husband on the phone & turned heel and left. She came back after some time, politely asked if we would like to place a food order (I'll give her that) ~ he said wings and she turned away and left. Never looked at me or asked... just left. IDK... I've been to a few places and usually people place their order around the table. She was gone a long time, eventually checking if we needed drinks ~ again, seeming more concerned with my husband, but this time I got a drink order in. The people at the table next to us left and most patrons had left so she felt it was a good time to sit her crotch on top of the table next to us, vaping and playing on her cell phone. Seriously? I get the outdoor casual atmosphere, but she has a lot to learn... like who's taking care of the payment and controlling the tip. I happen to be a very generous tipper and the $5 she got on a $43 bill was more than she really deserved. Yes, I gave her something for her bare minimum effort. I can give coconuts a solid four stars for a beach bar! I love a restaurant right on the ocean, outdoors, so you really feel the true beach vibe. We came on a day when it was raining so everyone had the same idea as us - but we didn't really have to wait even though it was busy. Our waitress was attentive and prompt. We got the fried pickles, coconut shrimp, and peel and eat shrimp as an appetizer. I adored all of them. The ranch that came with the pickles was exceptional as well as the marmalade that came with the coconut shrimp. The peel and eat shrimp were perfectly seasoned. I got the burger and pasta salad as my meal. The burger was fine - a little dry but i ate it all. I absolutely loved the pasta salad that came on the side. Perfect accompaniment for a burger at a beach bar. I will say since there was no breeze because it was raining, the flies were running rampant. Maybe some fans during times of rain or no breeze to keep the bugs away. read more

The food was delicious. I had jalapeño BLT which had just the right amount of heat and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. The pasta salad had sun-dried tomatoes which made it a step above most pasta salads. The waitress was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. It was extremely hot that day but the breeze from the beach was nice. Only drawback is you have to pay to park which I am not used to paying to park if you eat at a restaurant. Coconuts overlooks the beach next to the Maritime. We had 2 lunches and a set of adult beverages from Coconuts this past week. The service is friendly and helpful. The prices are very very fair. Got here around 12 it's all outdoors but most of it is covered in the shade. They have cornhole and connect 4 outside to play.. me and my husband ordered rum runner punch and Bahamas mama. My husband ordered the club blt and I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich as a wrap for 1.50 more and fries instead of pasta $1.00. Service was excellent and the food was great. read more

The bartenders were friendly, and the drinks were creative and fresh! I really enjoyed that they offered some lower calorie "beachy" drinks in addition to the amazing (but highly caloric) traditional options. The food options could be referred to as beach pub grub. It's not fancy, but the food we did have was quickly served and fresh. There's a good mix of locals and vacationers, and the vibe is relaxed and friendly. Great place to go at sunset: have a drink at the bar, and then walk out to the beach through the public access path right next to the entrance to watch the sunset. read more

I wish I could have posted the bad things in this place. My boyfriend and I came here and it was muggy and humid and we sat next to a disgusting trash can because there was no where else to sit. The food service was super quick. We both did nit like the food. It was toxic to my body and I felt sick as soon as I finished my triggerfish burger which INSTANTLY fell after I took my first bite. It was so unenjoyable. I wish I never paid for my food it was not worth it. The upside is that they have a little cornhole game you can play if you see it available. Uber casual, come as you are, picnic tables, lots of good rum cocktails served in plastic cups with lots of cold ice. Quick and friendly service. Had the fish bites and coconut shrimp, both came with fries. Not crowded last night which was perfect. First time coming here and it was amazing. Not only is it a small beach restaurant (so the vibe is awesome), but the food was outstanding. I ordered the triggerfish sandwich and my girlfriend got the chicken tacos. The sandwich was DELICIOUS and the tacos were great as well. The service was great also. They brought us out shrimp tacos by mistake but the waitress apologized, let us keep the tacos, then brought us out the correct order (all without any complaints or attitude whatsoever). We visited this little Tiki Bar when we first got to North Myrtle Beach. I had the Pain Killer and it really lived up to its name......I had a hard time walking away after just one drink.
