Had a great time at Crooked Hammock Brewery. The indoor/outdoor setup is one of the best parts with plenty of space to hang out whether you want to sit inside or enjoy the fresh air. They have a wide selection of rotating beers, so there's always something new to try. The food was just as impressive & good quality and priced right for the portion sizes, which you don't always find. The salads are actually worth the price and filled with toppings. The pretzel sliders appetizer is 10/10 and the burgers are fresh. On top of that, they've got outdoor games that make it a really fun, laid-back spot to spend a few hours. My first time at this brewery went well. The greeters were polite and helpful. The wait time was nil. The restaurant had an open feel with seating outside as well. Bennett was my server. The beer was tasty and cold. Served promptly. I ordered the nachos with chilli. The nachos were well covered in toppings. A bit spicy but that's the way I like em. Be warned, the nachos are sold as an appetizer but unless you're with four or more people. It will probably be your entree as well. This is a healthy plate of food! The only detractor, and this is just me, was the beers on tap and the plastic cups. I'd describe the beer selection as "safe". Meaning that most people would like 90% of the beers sold. The IPAs were not particularly heavily hopped. Not many dark beers (much less a barley wine). I enjoy the outliers. It gives me the feeling of what the brewmaster is thinking and drinking. The counter to my beer selection rant is that most people will enjoy the experience. So go try it out! Hopefully you'll get Bennett as your server. Prices aren't bad. Crooked Hammock is right in Barefoot Landing overlooking the pond and has such a fun atmosphere! It was lively, the staff was great, and the seating areas are really unique. I loved that they have swinging chairs, which definitely adds to the vibe, but they weren't the most comfortable. Once regular chairs opened up, we ended up moving over to those. Drinks were pretty reasonable for the location, and we loved being able to grab a drink and walk around Barefoot Landing with it. We came back later that night for wings. They were good, but 8 boneless buffalo wings were around $18 with no side, which was definitely a little pricey. I think a lot of the pricing comes down to the location. Definitely a fun place to stop for drinks and hang out! read more

We've been coming here often. Overall usually a good experience. Food is delicious and comes out fast. Seated quickly by very nice hosts. Excellent family friendly atmosphere. I'd give the feedback to whoever trains their wait staff that when a table is completely empty the server probably shouldn't put a giant pile of knives in front of the baby's high chair. I guess the extra 3 feet to get around the table was too much work. Way to go waitress Portia - between that and forgetting my wife's beer and being ridiculously rude, made a bad mark one on of our usual regular favorite locations. Oh. Beer is still really good. Had some burgers on a Thursday night in September. As expected, it was crowded and loud; waiting about 20 minutes for a table. Service was very good, and the food arrived quickly. I had the farmhouse burger with blueberry compote and goat cheese, which was certainly unique but also pretty good. Date had the Papa Pig burger, which was super messy, but delicious. "Hammock shaped" fries were pretty good. The Sway Hazy IPA was so good we got a 4-pack to take home. All-in-all everything was good not great. The food was ok, the service was a little slow, and the kid's meals were on the pricier side, considering they didn't include a drink unless you wanted to spend another $5. The hub and I visited CHB on our first night in Myrtle Beach, after visiting the new location in Raleigh last month. We tried the longboard nachos, which were huge, and the Brussels sprouts. Everything was tasty. I also had the Myrtle Peach beer, and the hub had the fruited sour. The ambiance was nice with the open air design and live music drifting inside. The food was absolutely delicious! My grouper and cauliflower mash were both seasoned very well - so much flavor! The only downside for food was that they were out of fish tacos / salmon for the night. But the menu was so large it was no issue finding something else I liked. I believe everyone could find something to eat here. Service was lovely - very nice staff and waiter. The outside seating on the dock was beautiful, especially at sunset, and the ambiance was lively but still enjoyable. There was music playing outside lightening the mood, but it was not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation- just the right volume! I had wanted to stop by this spot after realizing Superchargers were conveniently located across the parking lot. I had gone through the pictures & the Pineapple Express wings caught my eye. I was a little concerned that they would be smothered in the sauce, but thankfully they were not, just enough to coat parts of the wing. You get extra sauce on the side. The breading lacked seasoning for me, but the sauce made up for it. The jalapeños are a nice relief to sweetness. Stopped in on a Sunday evening and there was about a 20 minute wait for indoor seating which was definitely fine as we browsed the nearby shops. Our waitress was friendly and quickly got our drinks order in. We had our stomach set on the coconut crusted chicken wings with pineapple jalapeño sauce, but was sadly informed they had ran out of coconut and could make the chicken with the same sauce so we ordered this. Also ordered the longboard nachos with pulled pork and a side of street corn to share. The food overall was a bit disappointing... while the nachos were definitely shareable, the tortilla chips were slightly too oily/greasy. The chicken felt dry and the sauce didn't help much. The star was the corn and that's one thing I'd order again. We shared a flight of beer which was nice, but there wasn't any stand outs for me so I ordered the strawberry coconut mojito because I'm a sucker for this flavor combo but sadly, it was a bit too sugary/syrupy for me. Crooked Hammock was a great experience, and a huge part of that was our waitress, Devin. She was fantastic. Not only did she bring us samples we asked for, but she also brought samples she thought we'd enjoy. Even better, her recommendations felt honest instead of sales-y. If she hadn't personally tried something, she'd tell you that, then back it up with useful info about what customers order most and which dishes are fan favorites. Super refreshing. The Brussels sprouts were delicious and refreshingly unique. My husband usually loves spicy food and thought they had a little kick, while I, the family spice wimp, thought they were perfect. They could have been served a little hotter, and honestly, the sauce presentation wasn't doing them any favors. The thick drizzle looked a bit like something you'd be apologizing to your vet about after your cat had a rough night. Thankfully, the taste was the exact opposite of the appearance because they were fantastic. Please don't change the recipe, just maybe give the sauce bottle a glow-up. One member of our party ordered the charbroiled steak skewers. They looked surprisingly small when they arrived, but ended up being a very satisfying portion. The salad had an excellent dressing, and the fries were great. I had the Honey Chicken Sandwich with a salad and added the Kettle Ranch, which made everything even better. Another person ordered the meatloaf and really enjoyed it. The green beans were a hit, but the mac and cheese was a little cold and disappointing. The atmosphere was fun, and they were playing great music the entire time. On the beer side, every choice was a winner. We especially enjoyed the Sway IPA, Myrtle Beach Ale, and the Brand New Day Pineapple Coconut Sour. The pineapple coconut sour was so good that I bought a four-pack to take home. Overall, great food, great beer, a fun vibe, and outstanding service from Devin. We'd absolutely come back, and if Devin is your server, you're in good hands. read more

I stopped to charge my car and this was walking distance from the charging station so we decided to try it out. Menu seemed pretty expensive, but that's not surprising considering the area. We weren't that hungry so we decided to just get a couple of apps. We ended up getting the Pretzel and Street Corn Fries. The pretzel was very soft and perfectly salted. The fries were pretty good too. The base is their signature hammock fries. They remind me of limp waffle fries (granted they were probably only limp because of the topping), but they had a pretty food flavor. The toppings went pretty well together. Old Bay Crab dip 9/10 Has plenty of crab, you can taste the crab but not super strong or overpowering flavor. Cheesy, and seasoned great. Pretzels are difficult to use as a dipper but they're cooked amazing.. Crispy outside and soft inside. Papa pig burger 8/10 Burger, Med rare: was not pink in the center. Ended up being more of a medium cook. Everything else was really good. I liked the Crispy onions on there for a slight crunch. Did not taste the garlic mayo at all. A good burger, very tall and a little difficult to eat, and definitely shareable. Street corn salad 6/10 I misinterpreted this, thinking it would be hot street corn, it is not. It's a cold "salad" kinda like a type of salsa or relish. The corn wasn't really fire roasted to me, it could have been a bit more charred. Not a huge fan of the tons of the Chili Parm. Just not a great mouthfeel, Less would have been better. The spicy crema was def spicy, like a medium. Brussel salad 9/10 Really good. A bit spicy. read more

Our experience at Crooked Hammock was great. We went in on a Tuesday afternoon with a big group on a family vacation, and our server Jackie was so kind and accommodating. We had a wonderful waitress who went over the drink menu and offered us beer tastes prior to ordering. I got the 5 oz Brand New Day sour beer and my husband got the Myrtle Peach which we both enjoyed. Such an awesome spot! We ended up coming 3 times in 1 week. The drinks are great, beer wine and cocktails too. We ended up loving their spiked pink lemonade and chill wave drinks- really wish they were sold in to go containers! There's a wide variety of their beers and other hard beverages in the shop in the front along with some great merch. Service was quick each time we went and there's so many different seating areas. Personally LOVED the boneless Alabama white chicken wings, burger sliders, and chicken Caesar salad. We also really liked the fries that came with a French onion dip and the pretzel that had a delicious spicy cheese sauce. The kids meals are also a great sized portion paired with a side plus apples.
