Bella's New York Pizza was one of the highlights of our trip. Tucked into a modest building with a nostalgic charm, it felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. My family and I stopped in late for dinner after a long day, and despite it being close to closing time and having served plenty of sandy beachgoers, the cashier/waitress was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. Her kindness left a lasting impression. We ordered the Margherita pizza with pepperoni, and it was easily the best Margherita pizza we have ever had. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the crust was delicious, and every bite was excellent. It even surpassed our favorite pizza place back home, which we never expected. Based on the amazing food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding customer service, Bella's has become our favorite pizza spot in the area. Our first night in a new home called for pizza in bed. Turning to Yelp led me to Bella's. We ordered two 14" pizzas, one meat lovers and one white pizza with mushrooms and meatballs. Jen took our order and I went to pick it up. She was super friendly and very personable. The place was pretty empty but it was a Monday night. The order was ready exactly as expected and still hot when I got home. New York style thin crust with just the right amount of chewiness. Not too much sauce on mine with great flavor. The ingredients seemed fresh on both. $50 with a tip seems a little steep for 2 medium pizzas so we won't frequent this place but the pizza is good and staff is nice so worth a visit for sure. read more

This place came recommend as the closest thing to NY pizza. You would be better off getting a Tombstone pizza at Walmart. Sauce had no flavor and the ham tasted like the canned hams. We ordered wings and they were not deep fired, over boiled and sauce was drizzled. Definitely not a place I'll return to. read more

We ordered pizza for carry out and it was good. The gentleman that waited on us was very rude. He expected us to leave a tip for just picking up. When we got there and paid our order was not ready which was ok so we waited. My spouse was wanting a New York slice and this place did not disappoint. She thought it was one of the best she has had. She ordered the lunch special which included two slices and a drink for only $6.50. It's good to be back as the Community Ambassador for the North Carolina Triad. I can't wait to get going again in my area, but first, I need to leave a review for one of the places out of town that I really enjoyed while taking a short vacation to the beach. Bella's Pizza is not much to look at, but it's a great place to order pizza on those beach nights where maybe the family has gotten tired of seafood, and you're just looking for a good local pizza joint instead of a chain. It's really not a dine-in place, especially not right now during COVID, but they are efficient in getting your take-out orders in, finished, and served up to you hot. My wife and I tend to like Calzones when we can get them, and that's exactly what we opted for here, as well as a side of garlic knots. First off, the Calzones were very large and packed with lots of mozzarella and ricotta cheese, and that's half the battle right there! I got mine stuffed with pepperoni and italian sausage, and was very pleased. The calzone interetstingly enough came with what was clearly a meat sauce for dipping instead of just pizza sauce. I really enjoyed that fact, but my wife would have preferred just plain marinara. We both enjoyed dipping our bread in the leftover garlic butter mix at the bottom of the garlic knots pan, though the knots themselves weren't anything overly special. Why five stars then?? Because this is CALABASH, NORTH CAROLINA. The fact that you can find something close to authentic NY style pizza and the like is a small miracle in a town that is pretty much just a seafood outpost. Salad was fresh and tasty. The pizza was very tasty but I prefer an oregano pizza sauce. But we will order it again.

Tucked away in a small strip center, Bella's appearance is deceiving. They only have six or so tables inside so take away is probably the way to go here. We ordered three 16" pies and a couple chefs salads that was more that enough for our crowd of seven. The pizza was very good. I loved their Meat Lovers though a couple of people in our group found it too spicy for their tender pallets. The veggie pizza was also very good as was the cheese pizza. The chefs salads were really good with lots of toppings. If you're in the area Bella's is a good choice for takeout. read more

I remember when we had our first house in Sunset Beach this was one of our favorite pizza and sub places in the area. I had a doughy not fully cooked experience when I moved back the second time... Well three times a charm I'm back for the third time and after seeing how Bella's slices their meatballs thin I had to try and I am so happy I did. Both pizzas were really good and the Ruben sub looked fantastic. My mom complimented the quality of the pastrami and enjoyed it. I will def keep Bella's in mind going forward when I'm in the mood for a Ruben but for now I am in love with the thin sliced meatballs on their pizza so this is just another Non disappointment and for sure go to pizza place within minutes of my house. read more

People can't really complain about the prices when ordering online. There is a menu and plenty of webpages with the cost. It is pricey but you either agree to pay for it or you go somewhere else. I agreed to pay the price and it was worth it. We've ate here twice. Would I eat here again? Yes but it's only like once a year so it's not that bad to pay for. I wouldn't mind eating here more often but the price wouldn't allow that but that is the times we live in. read more

I have eaten at Bella's a few times and have ordered many times there subs, but for whatever They had going on tonight , our subs were Pretty sloppy, did not have very much of The meat, cheese or hardly a few bites of Chicken Salad. We also told the lady we wanted A piece of chocolate cake, which she repeated Our order but we did not get cake. The Pickle Looked like someone took a bite out of it. I really was craving pizza and since I eat a mostly low carbs diet when cheat night comes along I always want pizza so on Friday my bf and I got two personal pizzas for dinner. I got chicken w black olives and he got mushrooms and peppers. They looked delicious and weren't greasy so I was happy with that. One thing that I didn't like was it was cold and it wasn't that far away in calabash ,we live in Sunset beach. So I had to heat it up and the crust got very rubbery maybe I should of put it in the oven. I tried a piece cold and it was just OK crust still rubbery and bland tasting. My bf said the same thing. I was very dissapointed but the toppings were cooked well and generous .Maybe the chef had an off night or something I would try again but wouldn't go out of my way too get it much better places around. read more
