Ive been to several of these in multiple citues, the pizza is always consistent, which is why I go back. I will not, however be returning to the store in Prescott Valley. They werent what I would consider busy, but the folks, two guys and a girl, behind the counter couldnt have been slower....admittedly, the woman was moving a bit faster & appeared to be running things as best she could. The salad bar section was an absolute mess and looked like it had never been wiped down. The guy taking orders, making salads & pizzas was either dtoned out of his mind or was justin another place. The other guy/girl was obviously highly annoyed to be at work & has no business dealing with the public. Theres no reason for this other than owner and/or manager apathy. We have gone here a couple times thinking they are just having a bad day. But they must be having a bad decade! Every time we have gone in there they are rude! The employees don't care that you have been sitting inside the restaurant for 30 minutes waiting for an app order. The last time I went I was told "they will get to my order when they have time" yet at one point there were no customers in the place and they still weren't working on my order. When I asked how long it would take to get the pizza, they told me that they didn't have to work under these conditions and they were going to cancel my order. I had avoided this place since they opened thinking a chain resturant's pizza would be underwhelming and so-so. This pizza blew away all the local family owned shops. The thin crust 6 inch was perfection. No gooey sloppy pizza mess. The crust had just enough crisp to keep the ingredients from flopping off the slice. Plenty enough ingredients so you can't accuse them of skimping on pepperoni etc. Loved it so much, I finished it and ordered two more as take out. read more

There are a couple nice guys there making the pizza, but we have been there multiple occasions and 9 out of 10 times they burn the crap out of my pizza. I do not like the taste of burnt. I ALWAYS ask for a light bake and I don't even put cheese or meat on it so they can't use that as an excuse to overcook it, and still 9 times out of 10 they burn it to a crisp. I hate paying for nasty charred tasting pizza, so I guess we will have to stop going there. read more

I ordered an entree salad to go. I got home with it and found a wonderful salad....with a teaspoon of dressing in a container. The container was good sized and if it was full it would have been fine but they are apparently restricted to a tiny dribble per cup. So disappointing to have to drive back to town to buy the ingredients to make dressing. If I'd wanted to do that I would have gone to the store and made my own salad in the first place. The dough and sauce quality seems lower than it was a couple years ago. The restaurant was messy behind the counter, trash overflowing, and dirty pans stacked to the top of the container. I realize there had been a lunch rush, but there was no hurry to clean anything up afterwards. 36 hours after eating at this location, I am sticking to soup and liquids to limit runs to the bathroom. I spent 24 hours of not eating any solid foods, prepping for a 3.5 hour drive back home. My stomach is still not back to normal, so maybe another 24 hours of liquids will reset the mistake. read more

Better get your act together MOD Pizza!!!! We were there Saturday around 1:15 for lunch. We were the only ones in line & were totally ignored by the staff that was too busy talking amongst themselves. We were approached by a worker for our orders. No welcome or smiles. Got two pizzas. There were four people that came in behind us. We waited for our pizzas & all the people behind us got theirs before we got ours!! Really??? The place was a mess. Trash & crumbs behind the counter where staff was. The pizza was very mediocre! Something tasted spoiled on both of ours. We suspect the pinapple‍. Just hope we don't get sick!! She told me to go to where she was at the counter. Ordered MOD pizza today for the first time. I ordered 2 pies. One was their Mad Dog pizzas and the other a Make your Own with black olives and artichoke hearts. They arrived cold. Both had very few ingredients and the dough was thin but soggy. The top of the pizzas were dry like they'd been under a heat lamp for a long time. The pizza's cost us $39.98 we didn't like the flavor at all. I ordered the Make-your-own with a drizzle of pesto sauce. The sauce tasted like it came from a can and not from fresh herbs. I will not order from them again, based on this order. I would have given them less than one star, had that been possible. read more

Was fabulous until this last year. - pizza not cooked as good. Some times not done enough on top and other times burned. They used to be perfect! Tables not cleaned like they were when opened. Workers ok, but when we were in last, they had about 5 people standing around. We went in line no one came - finally the guy doing the crusts after 3 or 4 minutes told someone to take our order. Mod is a 30-ish minute drive from my house, and it's always worth it. We drive home with a bunch of hot pizzas, making the whole car smell of delicious bread, cheese, and sauce. Anytime I visit, the ambiance is on point, photos lining the walls, and a (not to be an elitist) rustic feel. The pizza creators are always more than kind, and the uniform is cool. Overall, MOD pizza is one of the only pizza chains I would visit no matter where I am. Wow. What a huge disappointment. It gets one star because it won't let me leave no stars. We go in and order a pizza and a salad. The pizza was $8.29? Maybe 8.27? So, we ordered a basic pizza with thick crust. I had heard a few complaints about the thick crust, but we liked it. Not too doughy and cooked just right. Now comes the part where you really have to pay attention.. The sauce, OK you have to keep asking for a little bit more sauce if you want it to cover the crust even with a thin layer... It's like it's a teaspoon at a time and if you don't keep asking for a little more you will not even know there is sauce on it. Then the cheese is the same thing, if you want more than a tablespoon you will need to keep asking for a a little bit more.. It's like they are rationing it one shred at a time. The toppings.. Guess what.. It's the same thing.. You can have as much as you want, but you will need to practically beg for each little piece of sausage or pepperoni.. You want more than 5 little bits of peppers? Beg. You get to keep on begging for each little piece until you give up because you feel stupid, and I think that is what they want. Now whatever you do, don't order the basic salad.. It's another 8.29 and it is a total rip off. It was 1 cup of loosely packed spring mix, a few shreds of parmesan and 2 small pieces of tomato. Biggest rip off in the quad city area. Had I seen it before we got home I would have refused to pay for it. I have a huge carton of spring mix in my refrigerator and I paid 4.99 for it at Sprouts. I will be happy to return for the Gluten-free Dairy free pizza and the create your own salad was fantastic... it wasn't the best pizza I've had but it was good. This was one of my favorite pizza places in Phoenix, so I was thrilled when they brought it to Prescott Valley! There really isn't anywhere else like it around here. Their service is friendly and fast. The bathrooms are clean. The patio is sweet. The atmosphere is lovely. So why did I give it four stars? Because, to put it plainly, their gluten-free pizza was just OK: You could taste the crust and, at times, I felt like that was all I could taste. I will say I've had the regular pizza and it was wonderful. There's just something about that gluten-free pizza that I didn't love. Don't get me wrong, I'd come back here again. 100% would return. Because it really is a wonderful place. Just keep in mind next time you get a gluten-free crust, that it may only be an average, not-so-good crust. read more
