This was one of my favorite pizza places in Phoenix, so I was thrilled when they brought it to Prescott Valley! There really isn't anywhere else like it around here. Their service is friendly and fast. The bathrooms are clean. The patio is sweet. The atmosphere is lovely. So why did I give it four stars? Because, to put it plainly, their gluten-free pizza was just OK: You could taste the crust and, at times, I felt like that was all I could taste. I will say I've had the regular pizza and it was wonderful. There's just something about that gluten-free pizza that I didn't love. Don't get me wrong, I'd come back here again. 100% would return. Because it really is a wonderful place. Just keep in mind next time you get a gluten-free crust, that it may only be an average, not-so-good crust. read more

Mod pizza it's a very good place of the Dos freshly-made they put it into a brick oven which is also freshly made on the ingredients are fresh organic healthy pizzas vegetarian pizzas they got all kinds of pizzas his place is really nice the patio is really nice and quiet and they even got this little thing for a fire pit outside which is pretty cool so this place is very cool I recommend it for anybody who wants to try Pizza read more

Visited Mod Pizza in Prescott Valley yesterday - 12/15/21 - a little after noon. There was a steady stream of customers, and only 3 young people working (2 people had called in sick). Kudos to the three young people -- Byron, Kaitlyn, and Hannah! Although these 3 had to take care of everything (food prep, making pizzas, cooking pizzas, ringing up customers, and restocking supplies), all 3 did so with patience, efficiency, and courtesy. Dinner hour this evening, 11/28/21. Approx 7people working. One girl prepping ALLorders, both online for pickup and in store. She was a ROCKSTAR. Admittedly, I became slightly impatient because waiting was much longer than normal....but! In hindsight, that was my problem, she was killing it...keeping up...getting it done. The overall team was working furiously to finish orders. I was tired just watching them. Terrible. Ordered the cauliflower pizza crust. It was hard as a rock, burnt and tasteless. And super thin - more like a cracker. The toppings were tasteless. And very sparse. Only thing that had any flavor was the artichoke hearts. It was so hard I seriously was afraid I was going to break a tooth biting into it. The balsamic dressing had no taste. Ate two pieces and threw the rest away. I will never go back again. The only half way redeeming item was the cinnamon and sugar crust. At least it was sweet. read more

Blah, blah, blah, and too expensive. We ordered 3 different pizzas, including one with a gluten "friendly" crust that was as dry as the Sahara and pretty much inedible. Overall, the sauce tasted cheap and canned. The ingredients were meager and low quality. The cheese was rubbery. One and done for this place. Sad face. read more

We waited several weeks for Mod to open and have time to work things out. We should have waited longer. I ordered online 2 pizzas, a salad and 3 buddy cakes because they donate to a good cause. The parking lot was full so I sent my son in to get the order. He came back with just 2 pizza boxes. So I sent him back in for the rest. He came back with a bag so I assumed the salad and cakes were in the bag. We get home with only the salad in the bag. By this time the pizza is getting cold. I called them and told them what happened and I would be back to get the cake and I wanted them to make 2 fresh pizzas which they did and I appreciated that. It says on the receipt taped to the top of the pizza box how many items are in the order. To get only 2 out of 6 on the first try is not ok. The eating area was filthy. Probably the best pizza chain that I have been too, all things considered. They have great pizzas and salads, and so many additional toppings and options to choose from, at no additional charge. Don't know if any other Pizza joint that can say that. I have to say, I was almost overwhelmed at the possibilities the first time or two that I went in and looked at all the additional ingredients, sauces and glazes that you can add. If you go wear earplugs, employee scream at each other at the top of their lungs and call customers to pickup orders the same. When I mentioned it to cashier she said "that is the way we have to do it". Fine I'll just have to take my business elsewhere. Pizza was just OK. Not impressed at all with the food. The pizza I bought seemed like the sauce was scrap off of the pizza. The pizza w cold, dry, toppings were sparse, very blan and didn't have the pizza smell that makes your mouth water. BEWARE - masks required to order. I've always liked the pizza and the people taking orders. The manager has also been nice. It can be hit or miss with the crust, sometimes floppy and sometimes charred but it hasn't stopped me from going before today. Went in to place my order and was told I needed to wear a mask. Waited for this to open, my wife and both thought the pizza was good, the amount of toppings were right on par with every other pizza place. I had a horrible experience here and will never return. I ordered a gluten free pizza and the worker wrote that down on the paper thing, but then put a regular pizza crust on it. I asked him if that was really gluten free, and he said oh, sorry, he forgot, then removed that crust and put the gluten free one on the same paper using the same gloves. I was so flustered by his mistake, knowing I probably couldn't eat that pizza now because I have celiac disease and even one little grain of flour will make me sick for several days. As the next worker was spreading the marinara and cheese, I finally told them that I needed to cancel the order because of the cross-contamination. This worker was very rude, telling me several times to PLEASE tell people at the front if I have a serious allergy, as she proceeded to get me a new crust, change her gloves, etc. I was flustered however because at Blaze pizza, which is the only other similar place I have been to, they have always asked me immediately upon ordering, if I am eating gluten free because of an allergy or if it is a preference, and then go to great lengths to make sure I will have no problems. At Mod, they made me feel like I was a horrible, huge inconvenience to them. Another worker laughed that she had never even heard of celiac disease. Then lastly, the person who was putting the pizzas in and out of the oven scorned that this place is not gluten free, it is just "gluten friendly"...whatever that means. By the end I felt so awful about the whole thing, and so appalled by the rude costumer service. But since I'd paid over ten dollars for this thing, I decided to eat it. And guess what? I spent the next 72 hours in bed, super sick with body pain, exhaustion, and horrible digestive issues, which is what happens when you have been contaminated and you have celiac disease. While this is always a risk I take every-time I eat out anywhere, it rarely happens, especially if the restaurant advertises gluten free on their menu. If this company is going to offer gluten free options, then at the very least the employees should be trained to know what celiac disease is, and it should be standard to at least make the most minimal effort to reduce cross-contamination. I know that some people think eating gluten free is just some fad, bougie joke, but for some people it is actually a serious health matter. Aside from that, some basic costumer service skills would be nice. As a paying costumer, I expect to be treated like something other than just an inconvenience. Given my bad experience here, I cannot recommend this place to others, ESPECIALLY if they have any sort of food allergies. read more

Went here before the lunch rush. Hubby had the Maddy pizza and I had the cauliflower crust pizza with pesto and veggies, both very tasty. The house made berry lemonade is awesome. The employees were friendly and attentive and service fast. The only recommendation would be add more toppings unless customers request otherwise and pick some better music to play the Music choice was almost unbearable to listen to. read more

This place is hit and miss. Sometimes you go, get a pizza and it's fine. Other times, they totally skimp on the ingredients so you have to keep asking for more and then burn your pizza...even when they remake it a second time! By then, you're tired of waiting and just leave with your burnt pizza. It's black and they argue with you that your charred pizza is "lightly brown." I lived in Phoenix for 3 years and found MOD pizzas that were great there. This one a an absolute circus. A million workers and yet none of them know what they are doing. They're constantly changing stations and don't know where things are or how to even mark the paper correctly which indicates whose pizza is whose. They actually had to ask me what I had on my pizza while it was in the oven. Then they gave another guys pizza away to the wrong person. What a joke.
