UPDATE: had to call back because we realized they missed a couple of closets and the bathroom needed an update. We were promised one day with the painter and was canceled the day before. I unfortunately have to update my review. About 2 weeks after the stucco job was finished, all the new areas started cracking. I reached out to Bryan to get it fixed, and he was responsive but took awhile to give a schedule and I had to follow up several times. His stucco guy came out to make repairs, while onsite he was rude and the patches looked bad. At one point the stucco guy said he could not make it better. I let Bryan know and he said that if it still looked bad after it was painted, he would come back out to correct. Its now been a month and I have reached out 5 times to get the stucco fixed but with no response from Bryan. Since then I have also noticed that the back of the house needed a second coat, that the old color bleeds through making it look dirty, and that they missed a spot in the front, I can actually stick my finger inside my house. I came back from a trip to find my ceiling damaged due to water. My guess is from the heavy rainfall in the area a week and a half ago. I wasn't sure what to do so I jumped on Yelp and got quotes. Bryan gave me a quote really quickly and I talked to him over the phone to understand the repair. He was able to send someone out the next day. Camilo was on time and immediately got to work. He did an excellent job removing the damaged parts, replacing the dry wood, plastered the area and repainted it to match the current color. It took about 3-4 hours. Called around looking for someone willing to come in and look at a patch up job our office needed after a leak repair. After calling about 11 other places, leaving voicemails, and a maybe, Modern Builders came in to save the day! Bryan was quick to respond, very friendly, and had someone checking what we needed repaired! We received an estimate the next day and had someone out Friday! (They actually offered us someone sooner but we had to take a later date and they were so nice and worked with us!) The price was right, the communication was horrible, the timeline tripled, and regardless how many times they tried to make it up to me, it backfired somehow. They kept saying it was a unique experience and "this never happens" but quality work is not something that comes and goes. There were 2 different guys that worked on my 2 car garage, both of them failed to cover/protect the floors and furnishings. On the final day, a predictably long day, the guys said they were getting something to eat and they would be right back. They never returned. What they left was paint and plaster all over my floors, and not a single switch plate fit on my sockets. Richard, the project manager, did everything to make the project run smooth, but the team that was in my garage was irresponsible, unpredictable, and ultimately poor quality.
