My daughter and her friend went today to get hard gel overlay on natural nails. She only remembers that the person that did her nails name start with "L", had blonde hair and Russian/Armenian decent maybe. She came home and she had fresh blood on 4 different spots on her fingernails where the cuticles are. I mean, you would think you nick one and you would be careful the rest of the time and not keep being neglectful and do it 3 more times!! She even told me that she teaches classes at the Paul Mitchell school, so I knew she was good! This review is very long overdue. First and foremost Aida who is the owner does an amazing job as a makeup artist. I have been going to her for years now for all my special occasions to get my makeup done. When she told me about her hair salon that she is opening in Granada hills I decided to go there for my mani/pedi. Walking into the salon I felt the aurora and the positive energy instantly. They do an amazing Russian mani/pedi and instantly I found my happy place to get my nails done. I decided to get my eyebrows threaded and Liana was available. Once again I loved Liana she did a great job and I went back to her to get lashes extensions. She listens to what you ask for and she's very pleasant and does an amazing job. I already recommended her to all my friends. I literally was there every other day to get all my beauty services. Lastly I also decided to get a facial with Hripsime. WOW I am not exaggerating when I say her hands are gold. After 2 facials within 2 weeks all my friends were telling me how my skin was glowing. I did the facial because it was definitely time and my skin was really dry and no matter what I did I looked tired. Hripsime was so sweet and her energy also was great. She was very sweet and gentle I loved her facial. So basically I feel in love with the salon and all their services. The facial is a must try and very affordable. I live in Burbank but I don't mind driving to get pampered. Congratulations to Aida for opening such a pleasant atmosphere all in one place. I just had an amazing experience for my first visit at Modern Glow Bar. Let me preface this with the fact that I am extremely picky. I came in for a Russian Manicure and Pedicure. I scheduled my appointment with Anna for my manicure. Anna has been doing my nails for nearly a year. Her Russian Manicure with rubber base is amazing. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she makes my nails look naturally beautiful. The bonus is the manicure lasts at least 4 weeks. I highly recommend Anna if you're looking for beautiful natural and durable nails. Adrine was my pedicure technician. I had scheduled a standard pedicure. Once Adrine began, she noticed my feet needed a little more attention and asked if I wanted a Russian pedicure. I said sure since I hadn't had a pedicure in almost a year. This was my first Russian pedicure and let me tell you I am hooked. Adrine made my feet feel like those of my 8 month old granddaughter. I can't ever remember my feet being this soft. She cleared all the dead excess skin around my toes, beautifully polished my toe nails and my feet look amazing and feel so refreshed. Adrine is now my go to for pedicures.
