I was looking for a place that was close to my home, affordable, and with good reviews. Yelp helped me find this dainty little place.  I messaged Cassandra the owner on her business Facebook and she was very quick in responding and helpful. I booked an appointment for my mom as well as my sister. The 3 of us went in but unfortunately my mom wasn't able to get her hair cut because she doesn't do short cuts, which was a bummer but totally fine. So be advised her specialty is with medium to longer hair, not short. So me and my sister proceeded to get our hair done. I went first and got a great shampoo job done. I showed her a picture and she got started. She made it look pretty damn close to the picture so I was happy that she listened. I was nervous about going to a salon because I've had so many bad experiences. I've always been mistreated for the way I look and been taken advantage of. That wasn't the case with this place. Cassandra was very nice and accommodating. You could also tell that she knew what she was talking about. She's not one of those who just tries to get you out of her chair as soon as possible without even making conversation. I respected her for treating me with respect, because believe it or not that's rare.  So anyways back to the actual cuts. I ended up getting about 8-10 inches cut off of my hair and my sister maybe 3-4. I unfortunately have a hard time sitting still so I didn't notice until I got home that one side was just a bit longer than the other. I contacted Cassandra right away and she was very hospitable and let me come on back as soon as I could to get it fixed. She did amazingly. She made some tweaks on my second visit and straightened it afterwards. It looked so great. I'm very satisfied with her work and so is my sister. I recommend going to her for an affordable cut that you'll walk out being happy with.  Here's a summary of the place: Parking: The are a few spots in front of the shop and there's street access to the side so it won't be difficult to find a spot. Some walking might be required but nothing intense.  Price: Very affordable considering how much hair services cost now a days. I got a deal from Groupon for $19 that covered the cut, style, shampoo, and conditioning. She normally charges $35+ for these services so it was a value.  Inside: A couple of stations as well as a waiting area. It was nice and air conditioned so that was great.  Tip: Appointment only.  Update 6/16: Unfortunately my hair is still noticeably longer on one side and I'm bummed about it. I had to come and cry about my disappointment on here. Letting it grow out so I can even it out eventually. read more

I LOVE MY HAIR !!!! After my last hair dresser flacked on me twice (the last time being my sons high school graduation day ) I was so done !! I'm sorry but it has to be said... this woman gave me a horrible haircut. I have been waiting for a few weeks to see if it would grow out proper as this sometimes happens, but it still looks like a child hacked at it with safety scissors. I have multi textured and thick hair and all I really wanted was my bangs fixed but asked for some long lairs so it would fall right. My bangs now flip out to the left and right and look like a helmet when I style them and my hair is just ugly. She used the thinning shears for some reason and cut my layers way too blunt. What used to be a minor bettie page look is now frizzy and uneven rag doll looking hair. Its a shame because she was so nice but I am really not happy. Will not go back. read more

I came here really exciting going lighter for the summer. Going in my hair had an ombré look because I let my roots grow out so much. I had brown hair with blonde low lights. I wanted to bring the low lights back up to my roots and go a bit lighter. Gloria was the one to do my hair. The whole time I was facing the window so couldn't see what she was doing. Once she was done I was in such shock! Not only did she go lighter, but I am full on platinum blonde!!! Not only just blonde but she gave me this rooted blonde that I didn't even ask for. I hated it. While she was cutting my hair she asked if I wanted to cut off 1 or 2 inches. I let her know 1 inch because my hair is fairly short and takes a while to grow. When she ended the hair cut she told me she had to cut 2 instead because of how dead it was. Which was no big deal, I understand as a hair stylist you don't want to leave split ends. Needles to say my hair feels like straw!!! About half way down my strands start dead hair and my hair doesn't even flow like natural hair does. I mean if she cut off 2 inches and it still feels this way something must be wrong. I also understand that bleach does damage your hair (I've had it bleached before) but this is not just a case of minor split ends I'm being dramatic about. My hair is so stiff and ugly. I also decided to just give it a couple weeks and do deep conditioning and treatments to see if it would get better but nothing has helped. Seems like the only solution would be to cut my hair even more, which is a huge bummer since my hair is already short. Not only did my color come out way wrong which I'll have to pay to get fixed again but my hair is completely fried!! read more
