I really like this place. The technicians are very good, attentive and I love how they do my naisl. I ask for natural and they deliver. The place is clean, spacious and you rarely have to wait to get a technician. If you do have to wait it's a couple of minutes. Overall a great spot, the only reason I don't give it five stars is because some people are rude and I think they should just be replaced since overall most of their staff is great. read more

Ok, Ive been going to this place sporadically for the last 2-3 years. Beautiful place inside and when I went recently, they've remodeled the front and added something like a nail bar. The last few times I went to Lang and then the owner (a guy) did my pedi's. Everyone is great, but Lang is a-maz-zing! I got the $34 deal which included pedicure, hot towel, cooling gel and a parrafin. I absolutely love this place. Im going back to day for a mani. I drive from Weston to come to this place. I was pretty disappointed ive been here before years ago and got an ok service. I came here again and was highly recommended to go to Taylor, unfortunately I didn't feel like i got a high quality job. My acrylics came up to be 40$ for regular coffin nails. Regular polish. She charged me 12$ dollars for a name i got written across my nails. Only 6 letters that she took about 3 seconds to do each design. For 2$ a letter I expected more and since i paid before getting the polish on my nails i was hesitant to say anything. They were pretty mediocre the definition of OK nails. But I certainly feel like i over paid for the service. My first nail fell off before 1 week of my service. And most of them fell off by week 2. Unfortunately wont be coming back to this salon. Ive been going here for a few years, since it is close to my home. They charge 10 bucks for a mani and 20 for a pedi, pretty cheap if you ask me. I believe they are vietnamese and they are friendly there and get you in and out fast! I always forget her name (shame on me) but my mother and I usually go to the tall lady with glasses, shes super nice and does a great pedi! I have been here a few times had good service and bad service with there nail polish gel . It isn't really good nail polish or maybe the nail tech I've had aren't doing a good job . I got my nails done Sunday and already chipped and I'm not happy. Anyway went into to get fixed because I was right next to it at Publix , so I figured I get them to fix it really quick . Unfortunately the manager put a bad taste in my mouth a woman don't know her name because I had my Publix cart with my child and ask me to put it outside it was gonna be a quick thing I don't think she needed to make a big deal out of it . I went here a couple of weeks ago because A friend refer me to it and spoke great things about the place. The place in fact is very clean and neat and the eyebrow and pedi were great; however the FULL SET was awful, my nails only lasted 1 week and that is after the following day i went to get one fixed because it fell off. Service is excellent, as soon as I walked in I was attended. I loved the variety of colors they have at their nail polish station. Inside it is beautiful and well decorated. The pedicure station is relaxing and very comfortable. I loved the great massage I received from the chair while having my pedicure done. I was seated by the front desk lady to get a pedicure and she stated that someone would be right with me, I ended up waiting for 20 mins- the employee who was going to do my pedicure stated she was going to be right with me but ended up doing someone else's nails. First time I went I only got my feet done they did a horrible job polish didn't last they didn't barely scrub my foot i was better off letting my 7 year old give me a pedicure. So I said I'd never go back well my mom talked me into trying them again this time I got fills pedi and eyebrows and ALL of it was horrible I went Friday today is only Monday my gel polish is already chipping off every time I get gel polish they normally put a base coat of clear he did not and he put 3 layers of polish on my nails and then the clear coat they look horrible so then I told him it had bubbles in the polish he said he will fix it he drilled the bubbles and put clear polish over it HORRIBLE. My pedicure he broke my toes nails and just painted them so when I got home I realized he didn't glue it or anything to try and fix it I am beyond aggravated already with my horrible pedi and horrible fills so I really didn't wanna do my eyebrows because how horrible everything else was but my mom was like oh no she will do a good job well she didn't know what she was doing because he did my eyebrows and kept rewXing the same spot I'm like ok my skin is burning now she gives me the mirror and my eyebrows were completely messed up nowhere near even so she was like I need some help one moment I'm like wth so another lady comes to fix them. If I could give this place negative stars I would. My nail tech was a scammer who painted 7/8ths of my nail so I would have to come in sooner. I noticed today (2 days later) and come . I started going here since 2002 when I bought a house a block away from their shop. Their prices are very reasonable and I believe they give the Best Pedi in S FL and I have been to alot of different places due to gift certificates. They get you in and out quickly and now offer other services as well. Very friendly family business, which they recently had to expand to a larger location because they get so much business. This is my 3rd coming and no complaints so far Henry does a real good job and takes his time. However I referred my friend to them and she had the worst experience ever! She had her 6 year old and her 3 month old bby. My friend had to breastfeed her bby but didn't know where she can sit so one oh the guys told her go into the room by the bathroom so she did as soon as she sat down the old lady comes at my friend screaming at her telling her that you're not suppose to sit there. I first went to this salon based on good reviews here. It is in a dirty plaza off of Taft St, but I thought I would give it a chance. Sure enough the salon is really ghetto inside. There is no receptionist so you just stand there until someone shouts to you. And I wouldn't have called it filthy, but it is not clean. On my first visit I figured, I was already there so I decided to just go ahead with the manicure and pedicure. The guy who did my nails was really good. I grew up with manicurists and stylists, and I can say this guy is good. Kind of a jerk, but good at his job. So I went back again, and he did a great job again. The third time, I made an appointment with the guy and showed up to find he was busy with another client, and would I 'like to wait 30-45 minutes or go with someone else'. I was on my lunch hour so I went with another lady. She did ok but took forever and my polish never dried (even after sitting under the dryer). Finally I decided to give them one last try...mostly because it is the holidays and other good salons are all booked. I made the appointment with the guy. I walked in about 5 minutes after my appointment time. Finally a man behind the counter had me pick out polish. Then a very rude young woman came over to tell me I was 10 minutes late and he took another client...and would I 'like to wait 30-45 minutes or go with someone else'. She crudely explained they thought I was a no-show, however they had my phone number. All it would have taken was a simple call to find out I was parking before they gave up my appointment. I do not recommend Modern Nails. The staff is rude, the location is trashy, and remember I said on my first visit I would not have called it filthy? Horrible customer service I did not come out with the length nails I wanted and I did not realize how short they really were till I left because I had somewhere else I had to go, but not even an hour after I left I called to make a complain about the length and the fact that I was charged 5 more dollars for a long length with the shape of nail I want, but yet the length was is not even long to be considered long much less be charged 5 more dollars. The length is like a normal nail but only have a ballerina shape. But I was told they can't do anything because I already left and I should of debated with them about it first. I have to say I have been coming to Modern Nails for almost 5 yrs. I get my nails done almost every month. Today I went in for a fill & pedicure. I have never had the experience I had today. It started with my pedicure. The lady literally said 1 word to me. She was so busy talking to 2 different ladies, never noticed what she was doing to my feet. Was waiting for her to cut me. Then she did my fill. Again never said anything to me, I asked her to "trim" my nails. When I tell u it was less then a half inch off my nails.. When I went to go pay she charged me $3 for the trim... Seriously?? $3 to trim less a half inch off... never was I told this. When I questioned it I was told they "usually" only charge $2 when getting a fill but they didn't even take the dollar off for me. When I mentioned all the yrs I have been coming here I have NEVER charged me for a trim they looked at me like I was crazy. Hello I think I know when I pay $40($20 for fill & $20 for pedi) and any other number.. Guess if they r going to start charging for stupid crap like that, its time to start going to the nail place 4 doors down! I've come here plenty of times and I've learned that with them it's either a hit or miss. You either get someone who will do a great job or someone who will do terrible. After my last visit I refuse to go there ever again. The worst experience I've EVER had anywhere. I was getting a full set and the guy I had seemed as if he had no clue on what he was doing. When putting on the tip he didn't look and try to find a good fit. He just put on whatever he grabbed first and for three nails it was too big. Then when he was filing my nails he CUT ME TWICE. In the same spot on different hands. He was filing the side of my pinky nails and the edge of the file cut the sides of my pinky. It hurt so bad. Then later on he switched to a different file to avoid cutting me again I'm sure. Then again he deepened one of my cuts.‍ When painting my nails he'd only paint one finger then switch off as I put it under the lamp. All while saying hurry hurry. I could not take it with this man.
