I've finally found nail techs that take their time and are attentive to detail at L'Acqua Nail Spa! They did a fabulous job and gave me exactly what I wanted. I was well accommodated from the start when I changed what I wanted from a gel manicure to tips with dip last minute. Jolie did a wonderful job on my pedicure and manicure. She cleaned up my cuticles well and took her time. I've been rushed numerous times throughout salons in south fl but she had certain techniques that my nail lady of 10 years in Chicago had, so I could tell she knew what she was doing. Zeus did my tip with dip. Phenomenal job, I gave him a photo and he executed it well. I've gotten tips with dip on my nails before and they looked terrible- too chunky for my tiny nail beds, but Zeus took his time to shave down the tips so they are not as chunky. I personally love how they turned out, I loved that I was not rushed and treated well. Great conversation with Zeus. Will def be coming back- I found not one, but two great nail techs! read more

I walked in and was very impressed with the modern and sleek look of this nail salon. It also looked immaculate, so I was off to a good start. The lady took me on time. I received a manicure and pedicure. They had many colors to choose from. I chose a lavender color. It ended up being very thick. I had that experience at another nail salon and just let it go. Then I regretted it later at home. It started peeling quickly. I did not want that to happen again. I mentioned it to the nail tech and she did not want to use a different polish. I had to insist. She finally agreed to redo the two nails she had polished. This put a strain on the experience. Overall, I am happy with the way my nails turned out but I am not sure I would return. read more

I have been here already a couple of times and the few times I have gone here it's with an appointment. It's best with an appointment because sometimes they get booked but they always take walkings. The establishment it's always clean and organized. There's a few people who are definitely master of doing nails and some designs are so pretty . I'm really disappointed with my experience here. We booked an appointment without requesting anyone specific, and unfortunately the service was far from acceptable. My mom asked for a simple mani-pedi--no polish, just basic cleanup. During the pedicure, she politely asked the technician if she could lightly file the bottom of her feet since she had some dry skin. Instead of accommodating or even responding professionally, the technician dismissively told her to "just use Vaseline." That kind of response is incredibly disrespectful and not what you expect when paying for a service. It didn't stop there. When my mom asked for a square nail shape with slightly rounded edges (a very common request), the technician became visibly annoyed and rushed through the job, leaving her nails uneven and poorly shaped. On top of everything, $65 is absolutely not worth the service and treatment we received. This isn't an isolated issue either--the last two times I've come here, the quality has clearly gone downhill. This is my favorite nail place, I've been coming here for 10 years. Always get my nails done with Liann, she's very nice and SUPER detailed with my nails. They have a variety of services available. Comfy pedicure chairs too! They can use a little deep cleaning sometimes from all the nail dust but at least all the tools are always disinfected properly. read more

I called and asked if there was an opening available for a manicure. I was told there would be within an hour. I made the reservation. I was greeted promptly and introduced to Ann. Overall, it was such an unexpected and very pleasant experience. Ann very patiently listened to where I was going and what I wanted done. After showing me some options, we agreed what would look appropriate. There was no feeling of being one of dozen on a conveyer belt. The shop was immaculate. ...and, although it is a very large room, the noise level was nothing more than a whisper. I'm sure the weekends are a different story! Do not come here to get dip on your nails!! I've had so many bad experiences here. I came in on Friday to get a dip manicure with Linda. She started my nails by grinding my cuticles before soaking and adding the cuticle remover. It was very painful and I asked her why she did it that way but she didn't understand me and just kept on going. I figured I would just let her work and complete the nails. She did 2 very thin layers of dip and shaped them nicely. I thought it was strange that she only did two but I didn't know any better. Then she added a coat of gel polish on top to add more pigment because the dip powder didn't look like the sample nail. The next day I woke up and went about my day. Within a couple hours, I had already broken 1 nail. It snapped right off. In addition, all the gel was peeling. So I went back into the salon and Linda redid that nail and added 2 more coats of the dip because it was too thin. Two days later my whole nail popped off on my index finger! I called the salon and complained that I don't have time to keep coming in and getting my nails fixed and asked for. Refund but they refused and said it's against their policy. Very unfortunate to me that they would rather make a few dollars than correct the issue with a simple refund. The sad part is this is the second time I've had this issue when getting dip put on my nails at this salon. Even thought I went to someone totally different the first time. read more

Just had the best pedicure of my life! No joke. I rarely upgrade pedicures, but decided to today. I chose the Organic Pedicure for $52, which includes a sugar scrub, mud mask, and massage butter + oil in your scent of choice. I chose green tea, but there's also lavender, cucumber, mango, ocean, tangerine, and Vitamin C. The pedicure includes an extended leg and foot massage and a glass of wine. This was the worst nail salon experience I've had in a while. They claimed that gel manicures had a fixed price, but when I asked for a French tip, the price increased by $15-$20 depending on the type of French tip I wanted. To make matters worse, the man cut my cuticles in two different spots without any remorse. Lam is always my go to, he takes his time with nails and listens carefully. I've always been skeptical about nail extensions and my nails for my wedding came out exactly as I wanted. Also, when I come to him to remove the nail extensions or just regular gel/dip, he's gentle with them and doesn't grind the nails down too much like most places do. Highly recommend! read more

I, unfortunately, went here last month for a mani & upgraded pedi while back in town on a recommendation from my brother, who is a regular. Never again! My mani was okay but the pedicure was horrific (which was validated by 3 other nail techs there), yet still charged full price. $80 for an awful experience & my toenails have yet to grow out enough to straighten them out by an actual professional. And yes, they offered to have another tech straighten & repaint my toenails but, there wasn't enough nail left to refile or clip to straighten the severe angles. read more

I had my nails done at this place a few times. My previous ok experiences are only reason why I don't give 1 star. I'll be talking about my last visit. When I made an appointment over the phone I specifically asked for the best tech to do my mani/pedi. I was promised by the reception that I'll be happy with the results. When I arrived to the salon I asked again if the tech who is doing my nails is good and for the second time I was assured. Turned out I had probably the worst manicure of my life. Andrew clearly didn't know to shape the nails evenly, how to make the length the same and worst of all is how to apply the nail polish. The edges were not a clean lines, nails have heels and bumps, color is lighter and deeper on some nails... Checked this place out randomly. Beautiful decor, clean and prices actually weren't bad for the services they provided. I simply got a basic pedicure and manicure, no acrylics nothing. Only reason for my 4 stars is my nail tech didn't talk to me not one time during the entire service. She did a great job but honestly I have never gotten my nails done in complete silence. Even when I tried to make conversation she didn't really speak or acknowledge. Not sure if there was a language barrier but it did make the experience a little lack luster. The place is located in a shopping strip where it is not easy to find parking. I had an appointment and was helped over 25 minutes after. The nail tech name was Emily, she did not seem very experienced, or at least it do not seem like she had taken the course. After I left, I noticed that nail polish was left around my toes, which was understandable, since I never saw her clean up after painting. I also felt like the massage with rubber gloves felt very weird. Overall, if you go to this place, I do not recommend this nail tech. Response: Sandy thank you for your response. My experience is always pleasant. I only get French gel because they do a good job with French pedicure/manicure, I have not had any issues. The staff is nice and professional, offer water and the are is clean. Only downside is the cost. For French hands/feet $105 not including tip. Truthfully you can get the same look for less elsewhere but you might not get a good tech. I'd say if you want a place reliable for last minute event or special occasion you can't go wrong here. I just love getting my nails done here. My go to tech is Mariah. She is the bomb.com. You can tell she takes pride in her work. I love getting dip powder with my natural nails. Through experience, this service is hard to perfect but she's a master at it. There was a tech before her I loved for about a year however, the last time she did my nails they all started breaking and chipping for some reason. But if that never happened, I would've never found Mariah so it's all good! This salon is very modern and always clean. In my opinion, it's one of the best in the area. My nail artist was great at her work but not once did she try to socialize. It was first time and she barely said three words at a time. Wasn't helpful with finding nail color. Just stood there and stared at me. She just pointed to the sink for hand wash and then said done. I'm not asking for 5 star treatment just asking for normal social interaction. I just moved to the plantation area and needed a new salon. This one was close by, had longer hours, good reviews and was able to get me in on a Sunday! When I went in I was directed to pick my color for my dip and pedicure. I chose an OPI shade. I like my colors to match so I made sure to ask my tech, Charlie, if there was matching shades for the dip and regular polish for the toes and I was told yes. The pedicure was nice and the chairs were relaxing. My toes looked great- the perfect pearl / metallic shade I was looking for. The dip manicure did NOT measure up. The color is not similar at all. Before Charlie put the top coat I even asked if there was a different shade he could add on top to make it match my toes. I was told no, they didn't have anything. I specifically asked for gel top coat because that's what makes my nails last. He only used gel base coat! Not the gel top coat over that. Today I decide to get a pedicure and it has to be the worst pedicure I've had at this salon. My prior pedicure, done at another salon, over a month ago, looked better than what I walked out with today. I had gel polish on, which the tech used a drill to remove however, seemed to not have removed completely because my nail now looks bumpy. Plus she was too lazy to take the polish all the way down to the cuticle which looks like I have half a toe nail. Two stars simply because there might be better techs in that salon, it is clean and the rest of the pedicure service was okay. Total cost for the service was $30 plus an additional $5 for removing the old gel polish. Some techs do not speak English, which result in them not doing what you are asking of them, they just nod and pretend like they understand until you press the issue then they ask one of their co-workers to translate. I guess your experience will depend on what tech you get, I was extremely unlucky and possible got the laziest or Newest tech there. read more

I had an amazing experience here! I've been shopping around for a location and tech and I was referred by one of my friends. I think I found my forever home. I'm so used to one technique and process from my previous salon which is a franchise. But here they did everything the other salon did, just in a different order and maybe even in a better quality! My first time here. First, I got a very nice pedicure with the fluffy gel. It was quite relaxing. The tech took her time and did a good job with the painting, massage, etc. Then, I was sent to another tech for my manicure. I requested to have a powder dipped one in lieu of gel due to the harshness of the gel. Upon sitting, I told the tech I had never had this type of manicure before. She began by drilling off the top layer of my nails. Then, started dipping in the powder, etc. After a bit, she said I was all done. I asked why she didn't manicure my cuticles. She said it was extra to do that. Also, no massage, no lotion, no anything. It was $40 for the service. Hardly worth it! My nails don't even look so great. My cuticles look horrible! I asked why she didn't tell me it was extra. I should've known was the reply. I definitely don't recommend this type of manicure unless you're willing to pay $50. I paid $60 for this without the $10 tip I also left . I live in east Fort Lauderdale and have never paid more than $45 for a full set of dip including a tip. I didn't see menus or pricing anywhere so was shocked when they gave me the total . I wouldn't have had a problem with the price if the work was worth it but this is probably one of the worst nail jobs I've ever received . Scratched up cuticles , product everywhere , shape is all off (showed her a pic twice that I wanted shorter almond shape). Also got a $30 pedi which was average but wouldn't complain about that. 1st red flag: I was questioned '" Why do I just want one nail cut?" (by the quote on quote manager by the way). I don't understand why that should even matter I am a customer that wants a service. Thats like asking "why do you want a polish change?" 2nd red flag : After waiting 20mins I am informed that one tech is available does not work on acrylic nails. Mind you this place is suppose to be upscale but does not have techs with their craft up to par. So I have to continue waiting. Patiently and quietly not even fussing. 3rd red flag: After waiting for a total of at least 35 mins and seeing customers who came in after me get taken care of I get this tech who seems she could care less. Plus before she came up the manager asked if she could cut one nail jokingly and the tech seemed annoyed. So once the tech seats me my experience continues to be unpleasant. She is rather rude and rushes my already short service. She seemed like she had better things to do. She still didn't even do what I wanted. I didn't get the name of the tech but she was older, had a short dark brown bob and wore glasses. So to put the icing on the cake I inform the manager of my situation the one that sits at the front. She literally laughs and apologizes. SHE IS LITERALLY LAUGHING WHILE APOLOGIZING. LOL I work in the customer service industry and this is def not a way to handle things. I asked for gel nails with nail art and had a picture that my fabulous nail artist was able to coot so well! I loved my nails and didn't want to change them at all. They lasted over 3 weeks and still looked great but my nails were growing so definitely needed a change. Great prices and fast and easy to get an appointment. They text you a reminder. My nails were completed in what felt like under an hour. She was very meticulous and did a great job on what felt like an intricate henna like design on each of my nails. Even with my super tiny nails. The parking is very easy as they are located in a large plaza with a huge parking lot. I wish I could remember the name of my nail artist because she was great and I would love to have her do my nails again. I arrived and waited 45 mins after my appointment, I was also told I would get a discount for waiting. He asked me to go speak to the receptionist who I had to go find. They end up giving me to someone else, Lanie. Supposedly she is the only one that does gel nails. One of the receptionist tried her best to apologize for the experience but bad customer service can't be apologized for, especially when no one seems to want to rectify the situation.
