Modern Wiring does great work when you can get them to take an interest. The first time I needed help with a number of issues; they took good care of everything. The second time, they couldn't fix my problem. No problem, and I tried again twice more. The third and fourth times we called, Dave wouldn't even accept the job. Told me to do it myself. They do great work when they'll do it. Completely uninterested when they won't. Most recently, Dave would not help me set a vpn. Said it was easy, google it. It's only easy if I know how to do it. I wouldn't ask Dave if I could do it myself. I don't ask a third time when my money is not good enough twice before. read more

I wanted to mount a 65" gallery style TV that sits flush to the wall with a sound bar underneath, connected to media/devices that would be located in a closet. I was planning on running them with cable concealers along the wall. Dave came up with a better solution that looks better than what I was going to do. He ran the wires through the wall to the attic, then down through the closet. There are no wires showing. He did it well, fast and neat. The pricing was fair for a great end product. Modern Wiring did a fantastic job relocating the tv/stereo/cable dvr. Dave relocated the speaker wires underneath the house where they should have been. Now were not tripping over them. Dave also programmed the remotes (universal/cable) to function so I could understand how to use and correct any screw ups I may cause from pushing the wrong buttons by mistake. Dave and his son did a great job installing security cameras all around my home. He also wall-mounted two flat-panel televisions. He took care to include me in all the decision-making and was very proficient at hiding all the wiring for a low-impact appearance. I'm very satisfied with the results. We did run into a problem with a camera's infrared not working as expected at night. Obviously, this is not something Dave could have known at the time of installation since it was daylight when he performed the job. First off, I am a new, real customer not a fake one. Simplely needed a TV universal remote programmed ( I thought). After reading the reviews I gave Dave a call. He called right back, gave me some ideas then scheduled an appointment. He showed up on time, wore his mask and was extremely personable. Dave checked all my home theater connections, reprogrammed my remote, updated my receiver connections, properly wired all my components (tv, Firestick, Blue Ray DVD, receiver and Direct tv) so they all worked on one remote. It was complicated to me but he had absolutely no problems. Plus, he was a really nice guy! His cost was very fair, I would have paid him double what he charged me! Lastly, I just could not help myself and " adjusted" some of his connections. Of course this ruined all his other programming. I called him at home that evening and he spent an additional hour with me "redoing" his programing. He was cordial about it and did not even charge me. Dave was great from the pre-service call through to the installation. He answered all my questions I had, was flexible in scheduling, and was amazing when he was here. I have a giant dog that can be intimidating and within 1 min they were fast buds.
