Water Street Stereo is a small, local audiovisual business which has been around for a very long time but has a surprising low-key online presence. Water Street seems to be quite busy. You have to liaise with Hailey to get scheduled for all appointments (estimate and install) so that part can take some time, but they are worth the wait. Nate, the lead installer, has 30+ years of experience and it shows. He is quite knowledgeable with quick recommendations to accommodate your home AV needs. But Nate's also very personable and accommodating. During the estimate visit, he discussed a few options and quickly decided on the way forward which included purchasing a networking switch from them. Nate and Max came out on the agreed upon installation date and time and made easy work of mounting two TVs. They ensured the TV brackets were optimally mounted for each room and cleaned up after themselves. Water Street Stereo made the experience straightforward and way better than trying to mount large TVs myself. read more

Don't t get your TV at Best Buy! Be patient and wait for them to come and install your tv! It's worth the short wait. I was so excited to get my TV I went into their showroom to pick it up prior to their installation. I didn't have some necessary components and Nate came over on a Friday evening to drop them off! Water Street Stereo is THE place to get your audio system. While they haven't the storefront of a Best Buy, these guys are soooo much better than the box stores! They can show you any product you have in mind. We went to Water Street Stereo after visiting Best Buy, Costco, Sears, and Frys, all of whom knew basically nothing about what they were selling. We needed our system extended with outdoor speakers. Water Street is the place to go for professional, fully informed information and service regarding audio systems. Nate and the staff at Water Street listened to us explain our current setup, told us all about our options explaining all the pros and cons, and helped us make the correct product selections for our needs. Then came the installation. Having been burned by the Geek Squad at Best Buy and incompetents from Sears in the past, we were hoping that the small family business model of Water Street Stereo would ensure strong installation capabilities along with the deep product knowledge shown us at the store at time of purchase. Thankfully, Nate and his colleague (Jim?) knew EXACTLY what they were doing with the complex installation our home required. They showed up at the appointed time (in itself a rarity: we'll be there at 2:00 pm, and they were!) and set right to work. We suspected we were in competent hands when the first thing they did was set our three dogs at ease. Our installation required a multi-room length wire installation and a crawl under the house which Nate set to without complaint. The two men worked without delay and got the job done perfectly! It was obvious they had a lot of experience and knew exactly what they were doing. Messy bundles of wires behind the entertainment center also posed no problem; they sorted, unplugged, and plugged in without a comment about the mess! This was the DREAM stereo setup. We are so happy with our new outdoor speakers. The entire process, from walking in their store's front door to saying 'bye after the installation at our house was friendly and humane. It feels really nice to have supported a small, local business, and to have received such stellar service. Water Street Stereo gets as many stars possible from us! We HIGHLY recommend them and won't use any other business for our home audio system needs. We used Water Street Stereo several years ago to wire our home for surround sound, they did a great job. Recently we had them come back to install our new 65" TV on the wall. Because they had taken good pictures of all the wiring when the walls were exposed the first time, they were able to accurately mount the TV in the perfect spot. These people are fantastic, they return calls immediately and are super responsive, got several estimates to me very quickly so I could decide exactly what I wanted, they call to confirm appointments, and show up when they say they will. I went to other places and was extremely impressed by Water Street's knowledge, attitude, and great customer service -- and even their prices are better! They work within your budget to get you the best system possible within your price range.
