During the…read moreprocess, he didn't use proper methods to assure even pressure when setting set the crown correctly, and caused me severe discomfort, lost hours of sleep, and many additional visits that took time from work. In addition, he did not listen to my comments regarding my tooth and discomfort, which meant he misdiagnosed my pain and delayed the corrective action I needed. Eventually I was forced to find another dentist, get a root canal, and have the second dentist re-apply a new crown. Thanks to Dr. Comer, I was able to gain the experience of getting a crown put on twice (because he did it incorrectly the first time), have a root canal (because he spent two hours grinding on the molar after taking off the first "permanent" crown and irreversibly irritated the nerves in that tooth), and spent about $1,900 on top of the cost for the initial crown. He refused to respond to any communication after all of this and doesn't acknowledge any blame. AVOID THIS DENTIST

"Ohh, the desk person didn't know ...", "Oops, the manager (who was no longer there) didn't communicate the financial agreement to the desk people or the doctors." , " The schedule forgot to schedule this with the correct doctor." There is a whole blame game going on. When the front desk keeps a pile of gas cards to "make up for your travel expenses and time spent (wasted)", there is a pattern of a big problem. But then they called me back for my appointment, which began with a convoluted diatribe about what's wrong with the American economy and middle management. Why? I have no idea. As I was trying to leave, the good doctor directed me to the pharmacy and then launched into a rant about "running a charity practice" because my worker's comp claim would "probably never go through" and how it's people like me bankrupting his practice. As soon as I informed him that my injury was work-related he talked about how it wouldn't matter whether or not I got better, since that was the case, and how he'd just "take a look and make up whatever he thought would be best." This was all basic insult added to the injury of my exam: Why would Dr. White need to put his hands up my shirt to examine a wrist injury? Let alone without asking or warning me first? I was mortified. All in all, a terrifying and disturbing experience. I have never been treated in such a way by any professional. This man should not be allowed to practice medicine. I feel sorry for everyone working in this office; the other employees seem skittish, bitter and vicious, and I don't blame them. I can imagine that working there must feel something akin to going down in flames on a sinking ship, and I would personally be terrified for my ability to support myself at every turn. It's only a matter of time before this practice closes. Beware.

Dr.White is what I think of as "Old School" and I LOVE that in him. He is one of the few Dr's that really make me feel at ease and so much so I feel that I can tell him everything and I hold nothing back in giving him my medical history or complaint. My daughters broke off after a year and we were asked to pay $500 to replace it. I now know other orthodontists will put the permanent retainer in for free. So frustrated. It's true that many families will go where they're referred. We've sat through two different consultations, and while they were both informative and helpful, it seemed that Hodges & Hodges cared and really wanted to get to know their clients. The bottom dollar was also a factor in whether our son should wear braces. One orthodontist even commented that it looked like our son had gone through "phase one" with braces already, which he hadn't! Good news: we opted to put him in braces and Hodges & Hodges told us 12-14 months! From Cassie, the assistant who runs the consultations, to Brande, who works the finances, and to Dr. Patrick Hodges-- we were extremely pleased with their friendliness, ability to answer all of our questions, and then the pricing. It was seriously $800 less than their competitor, and they offer the same thing but in less time (their competitor quoted us 18 months). We've known multiple families who used H&H plus a few former employees and we've always heard great things! Our son gets braces in just a few days and we know we've chosen the right office with the right doctors, with the right methods, and the right staff! I felt like it was a bit pricey for what others told me they paid in this area. The staff overall seemed like they didnt want to be there, there is always a strange vibe I couldnt put my finger on. Most of the time the staff wouldnt even speak to me because they were too busy gossiping about coworkers or whatever. Its one of those places that has a row of chairs all lined up right next to each other and treats patients like a head of cattle in a processing plant. You definitely dont get the personal touch here, if thats what you look for. The Hodges brothers pretty much spend as little time as possible interacting with you, and brush off any issues you may be having unless you keep insisting that they investigate further. They just want you out of there to open up the seat for the next patient. Really, I imagine I couldve gone about anywhere here for the same results as I got. I would not recommend this office to any friends for the reasons I listed. Shop around and find a staff you wont get tired of seeing for the next couple of years, trust me!
