Huge selection of variety of Asian products. I came here to find Filipino snacks and some ingredients for pad thai. They have lots of noodles. Frozen fish, fresh produce and hot food. They also have a frozen section with a sparse selection of frozen stuff, including ice cream. I was happy to see they had frozen suman. Had all the different sauces, spices, drinks, ramen--- you name it. The store is small and the aisles are very narrow. It really promotes getting in and out quick. I don't linger too long. There isn't much change to the place too, so have an idea of what you want, get it, pay for it, and go. The market isn't anywhere near the level of 99 Ranch, so don't get unrealistic expectations. But it has all the core ingredients one needs to make a variety of Asian dishes. I am glad this market is in Modesto because otherwise I have to drive all the way to the Bay Area for ingredients. read more

This market has quickly become a go-to place for me to pick up all my Asian needs and wants. There's a ton of stuff in a very small space. Whatever you're looking for, it's most likely here. My favorite spot to visit is obviously snacks, which is conveniently located right by the front door. Any kind of yummy childhood nostalgia I could think of is sitting on those shelves. All kinds of shrimp chips, crackers, lychee jelly, polvoron, cracker nuts, you name it. One bite immediately transports me back to being 6-years old and surrounded by friends who are trying to figure out why anyone would eat seafood flavored snacks. Whatever, it's awesome. Just shut up and eat your Doritos, Kyle. Everything you need to put together your preferred Asian dish is on a shelf somewhere. Spring roll wraps, so many kinds of longanisa, Tocino, Daing, lumpia, dried anchovies, etc. You want fish sauce, they have all kinds. Banana Ketchup?? What brand? Dozens of brands of canned corned beef, sardines, vinegars, sweet Chile sauces, Mama Sita's seasoning mixes for pancit, calderetta, sinigang, lechon kawali, afritada, kare-kare, etc. Everything you could think of for halo halo. You want Durian?? I don't know why, but they got that too. And don't get me started on the noodles. There's an entire aisle with whatever kind of noodles you need. If you can't find it, it doesn't exist. You made it up and you came and looked for it. I also like the small wares section. Bowls, plates, mortar and pestle, woks, brooms, tabos, and anything else you might've seen at your Lola's house. I haven't tried the take out section yet, but I've seen some good pics that make me wanna pick something. They have a ton of rice that takes up the front corner of the store and behind the counter, you'll find things like White Flower and other asian toiletries. So yeah, I like this place a little. I just wish it was closer to where I live. read more

Compared to other Asian mini markets in Modesto, this place is my last resort (rarely to almost never stop here). Customer Service acceptable, but just not much Asian variety (that I need) in the store, prices a bit high, and a lot of items seem old or outdated. I grew up in Modesto all my life, so for those not aware, there are other Asian mini markets in Modesto - biggest best one is on Carver Road (which sadly got burnt down in process of reopening soon), another one on Paradise Rd (Battambang Market), another on Yosemite Ave (Inthavong Market), another on Mitchell Rd (Laos Oriental Market). Or if you don't mind driving to nearby Stockton, then plenty of real Asian Supermakets - SF, Super King, Lions, etc. read more

This small Asian market has most of the necessary herbs and dry goods I need for cooking when I can't make it out to the bay area. This market has the most fresh herbs in the Central Valley area so far. The lady was nice. The prices seem okay for the Central Valley. read more

Very rude customer service at this oriental market. I went the other day ago with a few friends and the owner lady had so much attitude. When we needed help she would just say it's down a isle and would not even walk us to where the item was. My friend kept looking and couldn't find it and she could care less. The lady that works there has daughters and they are NOT helpful either. A little kindness goes a long way. Freaking go the extra mile and walk a person to an item and smile at least. Geez! huge and/or small essential business and really being cooperative and cautious, but this one, I saw that the owner will not care for people's safety or implement social distancing or a well sanitized environment as long as they keep pushing the numbers to their cash register and getting all the sales they can get. It's hard to find the asian goods you need when you're in a town like Modesto. I usually have to go all the way out to the bay area to get good produce and very cheap vegetables, but this place does provide all the necessities you may need. Every asian seasoning or dip, from a variety of asian cultures (viet, filipino, japanese, chinese) are present in these aisles. You can purchase some green oil or tiger balm as well from behind the register!! Definitely a treasure in a town like Modesto, I always go here for asian veggies and pan de sal. read more

This place is exactly what I want out of a market: fresh produce and herbs, an assortment of sauces and canned goods, refrigerated pre chopped veggies and meats and freshly frozen fish. It is a bit cramped in the aisles. The owner is so nice and passionate about helping customers try new things. She has taught me the many ways to use lemon grass, how to clean the whole fish and new ways to get tofu crispy. The fridge has very affordable Asian ingredients and the snack section is super awesome. I like to get dried seaweed, rice paper and noodles here, as well as loose leaf tea. Every time I am there I get a huge bag of groceries (enough for 3-4dinners) for less than $20. This is the only Asian market I trust in Modesto and their hours are great! read more

I discovered a new Asian Grocery! Woot! Woot! And I like it even better than the one I previously yelped about. I thought this one was clean and the goods were in great shape. The proprietress and her family seem vigilant about keeping the fresh produce and meats/fish fresh by placing them in either the refrigerator or in ice chests. Fresh fish comes on Thursdays, I was informed. I will come back again and again especially when they have fresh okras, fresh green mangoes and all other ingredients that will help me cook food that I grew up eating. read more

I was disappointed. I had a 20 dollar bill that I handed to pay for things and they said it was fake And humiliated me in front of other shoppers... I went to the bank and they told me me it's real and the reason it doesn't have a water mark is because it's a 1995 $2O dollar bill. A go-to place if you're craving for asian snacks. They also have fresh seafoods and vegetables.

This is a fantastic Asian market. So much variety. Just about anything I want to get, they have it. I've been learning to cook more Asian food lately and no matter what I'm looking for, there's a selection there to choose from. I like how it reminds me of proper Asian markets, hard to explain, but I like the feel of it. More informal than American stores, and I really like the owner.
