Now if the valet will be available is a whole other story. It took a considerable amount of time to drop off my car and I had asked three different employees about getting change for tipping and this proved more difficult than expected. I was greeted by Laura - who truly was the bright spot in this whole experience. She was on top of it and so friendly. She got me a locker and got me set up. I was eager to come here because they boasted a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, and hot tub. Lukewarm would be a great way to describe this experience. The steam room just didn't get as steamy or warm as I would like, I had to turn on the sauna myself and wait for it to warm up (energy efficiency maybe) and the hot tub had water features that were spitting out ice cold water - cooling down the whole hot tub. I didn't venture to the rainforest shower because I couldn't bear to be any colder! I did love the tiled heated chairs in this lounge though! Normally these features would be my favorite and I could spend all day rotating but Anda spa caps you at an hour. There are a few lounges that you can check out. The one lounge has a few snacks, unlabeled tea, and fruit infused water. As some one with allergies - the mystery of it all wasn't great. The other lounge had weighted blankets. I was told to wait in either lounge for my technician. My technician was around 10 minutes late to my appointment without any notice. I had to walk out to the front to flag a staff member down to make sure I understood the instructions correctly. This definitely detracted from the relaxed vibe. The facial was in a brighter room than I'm used to and obviously you're downtown so it can be a bit noisy. The facial itself was good and the technician had strong hands though I wish I would've researched more about the products. My skin has felt dried out since and it's just not the best experience I've had. I'm going to check out some other spa options before I return here. Again - Laura was phenomenal and the space is clean and modern - I just didn't have the experience that I would've liked for the price.

The business is very clean with a very nice ambience. The people are friendly. My masseuse, Lili, was wonderful. Her strong, skilled hands found all my knots, and worked on them skillfully. She checked in with me frequently to see how I was doing, which I appreciated. I felt much better after my massage. I will be going there regularly I think. The only surprise was an additional five dollar charge after the massage, in addition to what I paid on Groupon??? That was unexpected and seemed a little weird. still, all in all, I had a very good experience. I will be going again.

I use to live in NYC and paid big bucks to have my hair colored by well known colorist...however, I never was impressed with how my color would turn out. It was never blonde enough or for some reason ended up looking unnatural. I remember one time I paid 500.00 for a partial color at a well known salon in NYC...I left the salon crying...I was so upset with my color that I booked a flight right away to Minneapolis to have Haley fix it...All I told Haley was, "I want it bright blonde!" No questions asked, Haley did exactly what I wanted...NO ONE compares to the work Haley does. Her sense of style and coloring skills are truly one of a kind and it's very hard to find someone as talented as her. Haley has been doing my hair for years now and I will continue going to Haley no matter where she's located. It's one hundred percent worth your travel time and money to have Haley do your hair. You will not be disappointed! Haley, has recently moved into a space of her own at Sola Salon in Uptown. I visited when she first opened her doors. The space is cute and cozy. It was such a relaxing experience. I had my hair colored, a deep conditioning treatment, and an eye brow wax. While I was getting my deep conditioning treatment Haley waxed my eyebrows... My eye brows needed a lot of work, shaping, and cleaning up...I was nervous to have them done...however, my eyebrows looked amazing after Haley did them. I was so happy with her work. I also loved all her new products she used on my hair and will be picking some up on my next visit. As I sat in Haley's chair I had a smile from ear to ear, as I was so happy with how my hair and eye brows turned out. It was exactly what I wanted! I left her salon that day looking and feeling like a million bucks. I always receive so many compliments on my hair color after Haley does it and this time was no different. If you're wanting to change things up or just refresh your current color, I highly recommend making an appointment with Haley...you'll be so happy you did. Trust me :-)

I have absolutely adored a stylist named Matthew at Wave for 9 years. Conversation is always entertaining. If I didn't live far, far away, I would never go to anyone else for hair and brows. He also does makeup and special occasions (he refuses to do an up-do). He has such loyal customers; he has even done a few clients for their own funerals. He doesn't believe in hair extensions, but he does do eyelash extensions (I have not partaken). His coloring is great. I have recommended several friends and they are always pleased. I went to an 80's Prom party and he took an entire Saturday to do hair and makeup for eight women. The results were like, totally awesome. His hair cuts are about $40 (CHEAP!) and he doesn't push product.
