I bought 2 massages through a Groupon when a friend told me his friend had a good experience at Knead. I was not impressed. The first therapist decided my shoulder needed attention and whatever she did, my shoulder was flared up for two weeks after. I wondered if it was "medical massage" because you needed a Dr "after" the massage! I made the second appointment and requested a different therapist, mentioning what my experience had been. She came in and said she did not have my paperwork, did I have issues (I spent a lot of time filling out the paperwork too!). I mentioned my experience with the last massage and having my shoulder flared up She proceeded to spend an inordinate amount of time on the shoulder I mentioned I wanted only minimal massage on. The rest of the massage was a 3 out of 5 at best. When I left I felt like I had half the normal work done on me. There may be better therapists there, but my experience would not lead me to recommend the place. read more

Saying this place was great would be an understatement, it's life changing! I went in last week to have a massage and after the first 5 minutes the therapist quickly noticed for herself the pain I have been having in my neck. She asked me if I worked at a desk job, which I explained I did. She said that the pain I am having is due to looking down often (i.e. Computer screen or phone). After an hour of her working on my neck and shoulders, my headache had already disappeared and I felt less pressure throughout my neck. Needless to say, I already have an appointment this week and every week after! I would recommend to everyone, especially people like me who stare at a computer screen all day! read more

I've used Modoma for the last couple years. Last year 2016, I was on a massage plan and it helped relax me and break up a lot of soreness. This year 2017, I just started the massage plan again but plan to try some trigger point injections to see if that will help. I am desperate to get relief from the muscle tension and the migraines. read more

THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL AND RELAXING!!! I can't say enough good about it. The staff and doctors are phenomenal and professional! The staff came to my workplace and gave a free chair massage at a health fair. Then I took them up on a free 30 minute followup massage at their office. They asked me if I was having headaches, and it occurred to me I hadn't had tension headaches since Pierre massaged my neck those two weeks before! He was able to release the terrible tension in a quick chair massage! This was astounding to me, and I realized this was something medicinal and necessary for me to pursue for my health's sake. Years I had had pain and terrible neck and back issues from sitting working on the computer in stressful jobs! Now I have been going for over a year and have greatly improved. ALL the massage therapists are wonderful and give quality massages. The staff monitored me carefully and thoroughly, and had back braces, equipment, even injections I was eligible to use. Within the year I am now in the best shape I have ever been in! At times, I was so tight with knots that the massage was excruciating, but I knew I must stay the course! Now many, many knots have been worked out and I am no longer in the same bad shape! I may have to continue treatment in order to avoid pain from degenerative disc disease and several wrecks, but my Blue Cross Blue Shield plan covers nearly all of it. I pay a low regular doctor visit type copay. It's such a blessing to have this care available. I'm very thankful for my insurance, for Modoma and how I feel now! A grateful client! read more

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because it was nice and clean in the inside. For starters this is not my first rodeo I have gotten several of massages. My mom bought me this one from groupon 60 min custom massage. Anyways I know how it goes u get there 15min early to fill out paperwork etc. My massage was for 5pm I got there at 4:47pm. The masseuse came at 5pm. We went to the room she left out the room at 5:03 for me to get undress she came back at 5:13. She started the massage at 5:15 and finished at 5:50. That's 35min!!! Very unacceptable I mean I know I had a groupon but come on don't cut my time short. But anyways the massage was a 5 out of 10 it was suppose to be a deep tissue massage whenever the girl used her elbows I felt like she was scratching me and she was going really fast ( o that's because I didn't know I only had 35min hahaha) anyways I did complain to whom I think was the manager about my time and he said o yeah groupon should have told you its 5 min on and 5 min off What!!!! So I didn't raise a big fuss i just left. Sn: Even if that is true sir she still owe me time but its all good I just won't come back! read more

This is a good concept, but the massage therapists are hit or miss. Jeanettea is great but I've never gotten a full 50 minutes on the table with her, and she's not worked on ALL of the areas I've asked her to work on. Gabby worked on all areas, wasn't as deep, but gave me 43 minutes of table time which was a huge let down. Leigh-hee or however you say her name was terrible...didn't use hardly any lotion, and again, I didn't get my full 50 minutes. My answer for not getting the proper amount of time - no tip. If you short me, I short you. I did tell the front desk, and they said they had a meeting about this recently and all the therapists were told they need to provide 50 minutes of table time, but it still wasn't happening. The front desk is super nice, but now they are booked for at least a week out. They offered to give me a re-do since I've been shorted several massages, so time will tell if I continue to go back or move on... read more

I love this place! I have been going here for about 7 months now. I am a fairly active person and work out often with a mix of running and weight training. I am really bad about stretching consistently so i have had pretty bad cases of muscle pain in my neck and back. modoma came to our work place last fall during our annual employee wellness day. I signed up to go in for a free consultation where Dr Speers puts together a treatment plan for you depending on your individual needs and assessment. The therapists are wonderful and they have truly made a difference in how I feel on a daily basis. Usually when I pull a muscle or have a minor injury, I come in and the therapists focus on the areas i need the most and teaches me different stretches to do at home. I usually feel better after just 1-2 treatments. All of the therapists are great and staff is super friendly. Place is also clean and very nice. Best part is, insurance covers most of the cost! read more

I love this place! It is covered by my insurance which is great for my budget. The office is so nice. The staff is professional and courteous. I went to 4 therapist before I found 2 of them to be a great fit for my treatment. I've been going here for several weeks now. There is an apparent difference in my back. I still have discomfort from everyday stress. After each appointment my problem is alleviated. They are good about targeting the pain and managing it by pain scale. The front desk and consultants are also really professional. They are all on top of the schedule and make sure you are on track. Communication is top notch. They email and text you an appointment reminder 24hrs prior. The waiting room is a relaxing atmosphere with leather couches and a coffee station. Thanks for setting the bar high for other companies. Modoma came to my office for free massages. I signed up for a wellness assessment during lunch on a weekday. When I got to their office I was told to wait in the relaxation room, no biggie. The Asian woman who was supposed to do my assessment chatted for 15 minutes with the front desk people...little did she know I could hear her. I finally got up to leave and she says "oh I just got done with a patient and was on my way to get you." LOL read more

Corporate medicine run amuck! Employees are rude and incompetent. I starting being bombarded with emails and texts after my first contact with them. Cold, automated, scripted and stressful. You have to see their own doctors and sit through sales pitches for supplements and other natural remedies/techniques. Everything massage shouldn't be. Stay away!! read more

I recently went to Modoma after getting a free chair massage at my office. I was offered a free consultation, posture analysis and 30 minute massage at their location after my chair massage. During my visit, I had my evaluation. I literally had to touch my toes and tilt my head from side to side. Then I was told that I needed a back brace, cream, injections, multiple massages and a TENS unit. I informed the nurse practitioner that I had recently purchased a TENS unit so that wouldn't be necessary. She told me that theirs is better (even though she didn't know what type I owned) and that we were just going to put this all through insurance. I told them I didn't want any of those things because it sounded unnecessary and that I have a high deductible health plan and it would end up costing me a fortune. I opted to just have my free 30 minute massage. This was the only somewhat pleasant part of my experience. My shoulder massage did feel good, though the masseuse talked about this history of vampires the entire time (really wish I was making that up) which was very odd to me. To my surprise, I recently received a letter from my insurance for a $200 claim from a doctor in Frisco, TX. After a few moments of panic that my information was stolen, I was able to figure out that this doctor is tied to Modoma. Fortunately, my insurance didn't pay anything towards it as I have not hit my deductible. My whole experience with Modoma felt very shady and seemed like an insurance scam. I have spoken with other coworkers who ended up having the same experience. I would not recommend. read more
