    Breaded Pork Tenderloin

The Ohio Bureau of BPT has hit the road in this Sunday. Destination? The Inn Between in Botkin Oh. It's the little things that matter some times. 1st the BPT comes in two sizes. Small was perfect for the Mrs. I of course ordered the regular. Nicely cooked and average thickness cooked nice and tender. Breading has a nice crunch but overall needed seasoning. Salt and pepper cured that after first bite. Had to fold it over to fit in the bun. Now the little things. They have Stroh's in a bottle. Took me instantly back to 1979 and central Illinois under age drinking. Loved it. Fries were delish but asked the server if they were enough to share. She said yes it's a basketful. IT WASNT!! And was $3.25 side charge. Also asked to switch a TV over the Daytona 500. She could pull that off but was more than happy to turn in the Michigan basketball game for another table! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!! Would I come back? Not sure. Sandwich was good. Give it 8/10. Service not so much and it was a 75 min drive.

rueben they flipped it so i couldn't see the burnt parts

I haven't been back here in years since i moved was craving their food and heard it was under new management so thought i'd give it a try and never again will i go in. I got a burnt rueben sandwich that wasn't even a true rueben. fries were cold and this was a 20 minute carry out, my chicken caesar was all chicken no cheese, wilted lettuce and burnt croutons. just do better when you're charging what you're charging.

Fried chicken at its best. We stopped for lunch and were not let down. A beer and fried chicken was an absolute winner.

I ordered some of the best fried chicken I've had in the north - not at all greasy, nicely seasoned, with perfectly crisp skin.

I was asking the people I work with there where are some good places to eat for lunch.I believe The Side Rail came out of nearly everyone's mouths.I arrived at the restaurant for a late lunch probably around 4:30 and the place was not too busy but had its share of patrons. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door with a hello and a smile.I chose to sit at the bar beings I was alone. The decor was very neat with a mix of local and railroad themed decorations. The alcoholic drinks included a large collection of various unique and flavorful drinks and cocktails. I enjoy a good hard cider but the one they had listed on tap had a strawberry flavoring. I mentioned my fondness of ciders but my lack of enjoying strawberry flavored drinks to the waitress/bartender and she immediately offered a sample. I was quite surprised how good it actually was.The menu definitely has a large selection of unique food and combinations especially burgers. I started with an appetizer of garlic cheeses curds. They came out quickly and were fresh, hot, and crispy just how I like them. The garlic flavor with the cheese curds was a great change from the normal cheese curds I'm used to with them even being in cubes.I had to try the burger with Peanut Butter and Jelly, the loaded fries, and Mac and cheese.I was really second guessing that ordering that choice was a good one but boy was I surprised. The burger was cooked perfectly.I will never understand how a burger with cheese, peanut butter,a fruit jam sauce, and even a egg actually not only worked together but was delicious. The loaded fries were crispy, cheesy, and the jalapeños were flavorful but not too hot.The Mac and cheese was also very delicious and very creamy.I will definitely be returning to try some of the other unique sandwiches and cocktails. The only regret I had was forgetting my leftovers in my truck when I got back to my hotel.

Called in the order, and when I arrived, it was busy (Thursday night). The kitchen seemed a bit chaotic as I waited for our order. The pizzas were done, almost, on time, but our order of garlic bread I kept being told would be a few more minutes... and then a few more minutes... and then a few more minutes. I'm not sure if it was missed from the order, or given to another table or what, but I was close to asking them to just forget about the garlic bread. Anyway, our 25-30 minutes turned into nearly 50 minutes once the whole order was ready to go. That being said... the pizza was delightful! The sauce is delicious, the crust was perfect, and the toppings were awesome. The inside of the establishment looking casual and fun as well, nice bar area, and a patio. I definitely want to come back and try this place again and dine-in. My word of warning is that maybe don't be on a time-crunch or have somewhere you have to be right away. Maybe my experience was a fluke, but if not, good food - just might be a few minutes longer of a lunch/dinner than you anticipate. Overall, great pizza!

Unfortunately, the larger dining room on the other side is the complete opposite--sterile, plain, and uninspired. It could really benefit from a decorator who could bring it in line with the vibe of the bar and outdoor areas. 17 West positions itself as the nicest (and essentially only upscale) restaurant in the New Bremen area, but it falls short of that goal. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Salad sandwich with mashed potatoes. What arrived was a croissant that looked like it came straight from the IGA bakery, topped with a single sad leaf of lettuce and a thin, pale tomato slice. The chicken salad was scooped with what appeared to be an ice cream scoop and simply plopped onto the bread. The result was a bland sandwich with almost no spice or flavor. The mashed potatoes were presented the same way--scooped and unappealing. Overall, the presentation was cafeteria-level at best, and I've had better sandwiches in hospital cafeterias. My wife ordered the Firecracker Chicken. Her side salad was tiny and unremarkable, and while the chicken leg itself tasted decent, it was still just a sauced chicken leg. At $22, it felt significantly overpriced. 17 West likely wouldn't survive in a larger city with real competition. In the New Bremen area, however, it benefits from having very little rivalry, which allows it to stay in business despite the clear mismatch between its prices and the quality and presentation of the food.
