Best part of our dining experience at The Inn Between was the friendly patrons we met sitting at the bar. However, we went for dinner and that experience was not good. Our order came out wrong, the server tried tell us that we were wrong, she snatched the food away, and I had to ask for my meal a third time before I got it. If you are looking for good food without any ambience or frills (like you might need to refill your own drink), then this is a good spot for you. Always have had a good meal there except the time I ordered the sausage sandwich. It is not sausage it is just ground pork with no seasoning. I expected a breakfast sausage taste. Every other time I have been there I have enjoyed it. Just be aware, if you're not a regular almost everyone will stare at you when you come in. The Ohio Bureau of BPT has hit the road in this Sunday. Destination? The Inn Between in Botkin Oh. It's the little things that matter some times. 1st the BPT comes in two sizes. Small was perfect for the Mrs. I of course ordered the regular. Nicely cooked and average thickness cooked nice and tender. Breading has a nice crunch but overall needed seasoning. Salt and pepper cured that after first bite. Had to fold it over to fit in the bun. Now the little things. They have Stroh's in a bottle. Took me instantly back to 1979 and central Illinois under age drinking. Loved it. Fries were delish but asked the server if they were enough to share. She said yes it's a basketful. IT WASNT!! And was $3.25 side charge. Also asked to switch a TV over the Daytona 500. She could pull that off but was more than happy to turn in the Michigan basketball game for another table! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!! Would I come back? Not sure. Sandwich was good. Give it 8/10. Service not so much and it was a 75 min drive. read more

These stars are all for the pizza. We did take out. Just happened upon this place because we were passing through town. It did have a patio and TVs along with an outside bar . The bar was roped off due to Covid. In my 65 years this may have been the best pizza I ever tasted. Sauce was perfect. Cheese flavorful and my 3 toppings of very good quality. It missed 5 stars due to slight char on the crust but hey some people might like that. My large 16" 3 topping pizza was about $20. If I lived around here I would certainly come back. read more

The 4-stars is primarily for the quality of food: good fried chicken. Cold beer. The Inn Between is solely somewhere we count on to get good fried chicken. So, when the crave hits... There's something about TIB I can't quite put my finger on that leaves it a less-than-enticing option beyond the occasional fried chicken craving. I think it's the demeanor of the service staff. While they get the job done, there's an accompanying disposition that the existence of customers is kind of a pain in the - well, you get it. In all of our visits, the employees, while not necessarily rude, just don't seem to be the friendliest group of people. It lends to sort of feeling bad for stopping in to ask for food. Additionally, there's a nice outdoor space where musicians periodically perform. But, downside: smoking. We've attempted to sit outdoors a couple of times, but the occurrence of smoke/smokers is considerably higher than other establishments with outdoor seating. Overall, it is a nice little place offering a dining room, bar-ish (long bar and high tables), and outdoor seating options.The food we've had is good - always friend chicken. The beer is cold and comes in many flavors; they do a nice job of switching out taps, offering a variety of craft options. It seems clean and TIB provides a lot of TV's for sports enthusiasts. I just wish it didn't feel as tho we've imposed when patronizing. read more

I haven't been back here in years since i moved was craving their food and heard it was under new management so thought i'd give it a try and never again will i go in. I got a burnt rueben sandwich that wasn't even a true rueben. fries were cold and this was a 20 minute carry out, my chicken caesar was all chicken no cheese, wilted lettuce and burnt croutons. just do better when you're charging what you're charging. read more

We stopped by this place today for lunch. It was a little before 1:00 pm. There was no one at the door greeting clients so we sat ourselves at an available table. No one ever came to our table to bring menus or to even acknowledge we were there. We sat and waited and waited and waited. We finally LEFT WITHOUT HAVING EVEN BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED. I'm not sure why we were not served but we were the only people of color in the entire restaurant for the duration of the time we were there. I repeat, no one even acknowledged our presence. The Inn Between is really "in the middle of nowhere" but definitely worth the drive. We ended up here for a family dinner and most people chose their fish fry which is a huge potion for under $10. Coming from WI, where the Friday night fish fry is "a thing" the Inn Between's held up well. I ordered some of the best fried chicken I've had in the north - not at all greasy, nicely seasoned, with perfectly crisp skin. A 2 piece dinner with 2 sides and a roll was just $7.50. Cheap! The interior is not fancy, but there are plenty of TV's to watch and lots of local sports memorabilia on the walls. An unexpected surprise was the really good craft beer selection. Staff couldn't have been nicer and handled a group of 8 with no issues. There's a nice little outdoor patio too and they are very motorcycle friendly. Worth a stop! read more

I've always thought food choices in this area were slim pickings, but I only needed to go out with the locals to find a winner. Bar exterior. Sports bar interior. Busy lunch business the Wednesday we were there (I haven't been for dinner, but it's a large place, with plenty of TVs and tables). Free soda refills, but you refill for yourself. I went with the Fried Bologna sandwich with potato wedges. The waitress asked me what I wanted on my sandwich, which threw me because I've never had one. Went with mayo then added some mustard at the table. 3/4" thick slab of beef bologna (and I'm not lying), flat top fried on both sides, served on a tasty bun. Around $7 for the meal. A couple of the others at the table had the Philly Beef (which they both get every time they come, so I'll likely try that next time), the Pulled Pork sandwich special and the Fish Sandwich. They serve a lot of deep fried things (including chicken, which I've heard is good), plus sandwiches, a small number of salads and pizza. read more

Terrible!! Got a philly cheese steak, came with swiss cheese. Asked if I could get provolone instead and was told they only had swiss and american!! My daughter got a grilled cheese and she took one bite and pushed it to the side. I took a bite and all I tasted was cooking oil!! Our waitress was very rude, when I asked for a refill more than two times in a row, she scoffed as she walked away from my table. I looked at my daughter and she saw her scoff too, and then we noticed one of the bus girls staring at us. My favorite kind of place - local, casual, interesting, and good food. Stopped here after getting the camper from the Airstream factory. Sunday fried chicken dinner was crispy, not too much batter, and juicy. The cheeseburger was a classic grilled burger. Lots of sides to choose from. Would definitely stop here again. Even better to stop in the summer and have dinner on the nice patio. Too cold and rainy on this August afternoon. Also great for watching the day's sporting events. read more

I was visiting family in Piqua, Oh and we try to revisit a family tradition of going out for Fried Chicken while I'm home. Unfortunately the places our parents would take us are no longer open or the food is no longer that great. My sister told us about The Inn Between so we tried it. Of course we all had the Fried Chicken..I enjoyed my Chicken very much. Chicken has a great flavor and the crunchy breading was delicious. I had a baked potato that was ok but a little on the underdone side. Others in our party had a baked sweet potato and all loved it. Because we had 8 people in our party we had called and asked if they took reservations and was told no. However upon arrival we attempted to put two tables together only to be told they were "reserved"! That was a little bewildering??? Especially since they wanted to sit us in two separate tables with another family seated at a table in between us. However we were able to finally put two tables together after the other family was asked if they would be willing to move. My suggestion for the future will be that we go during a less busy time to avoid this problem. Wait staff was very attentive and took good care of us! read more

The blackened chicken was exceptional! I would definitely order it again! My husband and my son both got perch. The perch was a bit pricey, a four piece dinner was nearly $16.00. Have been here often when servicing our Airstream at the Airstream Factory Store. Food and Service in the past have been very good. Tonight, however, waitress was very abrupt and we had to pay our bill to another waitress after waiting quite a bit for our first waitress to return. Chicken Dinner was good but I ordered Clam Strips and very disappointing. Very few and tiny clam strips compensated by an overabundance of french fries. Could have lived with the food but the service was very disappointing especially after having so many great meals at the Inn Between in the past. read more

Some of the vegetables are canned but the food is very good in general. We shared a ribeye steak and it was grilled to perfection - medium - just like we wanted. The baked sweet potato was fine - butter, sugar, cinnamon - what's not to like? Haven't tried the fried chicken but that appears to be one of their specialties. Very good draft beer selection. The food is excellent when its not busy. The bad thing is that when its busy the food quality really goes down and the food is usually cold by the time you get it. Food here is good. The fried chicken and fried fish are the best options in my opinion. Most everything that's fried is going to be pretty greasy here but it's filling and definitely plenty of food. Drink prices are a little high for the area, and the food is a little pricy for what you get in my opinion but not outrageous. It's a good place to stop out this way since there's not much else around but it's not my first choice. For Midwestern comfort food in Shelby County, TIB can't be beat. I ordered the pork tenderloin and the waitress told me they ran out. :( So I ordered the 4-piece fried chicken dinner instead. Their fried chicken is even better than Hussey's in Port Jefferson. I also had a side of mac and cheese and it was fair. I make better mac and cheese from scratch. I thought their prices were good too and not so $$$$ like where I live in Tampa, FL. read more
