I've stopped in here about 3 different times over the last few years. The first few times I understood they couldn't help and had no bad feelings over it because they tried. But after the last interaction yesterday, I will never consider buying anything here. Apparently it was too difficult to attempt to locate or order a 3-1/2" idler pulley for my 30 year old mower. I stopped in B/C I prefer face to face interaction and support of local businesses. The guy behind the counter, although he was nice, simply wouldn't even take 5 minutes to order a $30 pulley. The whole interaction was less than 45 seconds, barely looked at the part in my hand and told me to get it from Amazon and there was no way he could help, instead of pulling out the Oregon book he has behind the counter and flipping through some pages or trying to even see if they had anything close. Too bad, I was hoping to purchase a new machine this year from them with cash. Guess I'll find somewhere that isn't too lazy to help. read more

I normally don't post reviews but after looking at some of the previous reviews, I'm beginning to think a little bit different about this company. recently took my tractor in for repairs the cost of $1,400 .I was told 2 to 3 weeks got it returned short of a month.. picked it up, brought it home discovered The drawbar wasn't going down. It was a simple fix, but had to load it back up, haul it back to Gresham. They promptly fixed the problem and we returned home. I called to see if I could be compensated some for our time, lost and not being able to get my garden in with the sunshine before it rained . I was told definitely not , think I'll take my business somewhere else next time. read more

Went down today to pick up some oil for my zero turn Kubota mower. First time visitor as I purchased the mower from the former owner of my property. The visit started off good as I was welcomed in by the guy siting at the desk near the door. I told the man at the service counter I needed oil for the mower and he asked if I knew the model of the machine I had. I wasn't sure why that was important as I showed him a photo of the Kawasaki Engine with the model number visable that was installed on the machine. I explained that I needed to replace the oil and this was my first time doing so on this machine and wasn't sure how much oil it would need. He went and got the oil needed and asked if I needed anything else. I would have assumed he would suggest an oil filter since that is something that should be replaced when doing an oil change, but I had to request that as well. No biggie, but it was his overall attitude that really irked me. I am a new customer and he wasn't a very positive representative of this organization. I will do business elsewhere next time. After reading other reviews on this business it looks like the owner needs to remind some of the folks that they are employed to make folks happy to shop there not alienate them. read more

I just bought my second Honda mower from Moen Machinery and am always happy with the sales and service. I've purchased a pressure washer, and multiple Stihl products from them over the last 20 years and the product, employees and the owners are top-knotch. They back what they sell and have been doing it for over 75 years. It pays to buy local. If I had a bigger piece of property, I'd buy tractors from them. It's my favorite toy store! read more

Sadly, not recommended. I tried to buy a Walker mower from them, but they seem to not be interested in a cash sale. I waited 20 minutes for a salesman, who never showed. I asked whether someone else could help me. Nope. I left my card, asked for someone to call me. Never happened. Came back another day, still no sales person. Both visits were between 10 and noon on a weekday. I again left my card and asked for an owner to call me. Never happened. I finally wrote to them about my experience. Never heard from them. I ended up buying a Gravely Mower elsewhere, which turns out to be a much better machine than a Walker, which takes two people - and a bunch of time - to change mower blade height. I've bought twice from these guys ( apparently I have not learn my lesson first time ). I suggest you go somewhere else. They will talk you into buying some inferior item instead of what you need and assure you there is nothing to worry about you can bring it back if it does not work for you. Then they refuse to take it back saying you used it even though there is still half time left on the return period. Also they try to sneak you some not so new item that has been hanging on the display for years, but this time it is all good, right ? read more

I write this with regret. Regret because I wanted Moen Machenry to be my go to place for items for my tractor. I've gone there for the past 4 yrs and each time I walked in I felt an attitude change in the show room. It seemed like a couple of the guys would smirk at each other and I constantly felt like I was the butt of a joke. I considered speaking with the owner but I never did. The final straw was when they wanted to charge me $4,000 for a yearly maintenance visit to them. The mechanic told me that "they weren't charging me a lot for labor but when I asked for a list of what they wanted to do and checked on cost of parts " filters, screws, pins, fluids ect. No Way even close to 4,000.!!! I paid the transportation fee and told them to bring it back to me. Without doing any repairs. I really do feel I was over charged because I'm a woman and they didn't think I'd know what the cost really should have been. It's sad to think that they intentionally made me feel uncomfortable while I was there only because they were men who obviously didn't feel a woman has a place on a tractor or replacing a filter herself. ​If they truly didn't feel I belonged there then they won because I won't be back. read more

Groover delivered it with attachments. The unfortunate part of this story is the first hard day of use we noted a hydraulic leak and called Moen. They sent Groover back out picked it up and located the problem. They Overnighted the parts and had it back within 3 days. Thank you so much. went in to get bar and chain oil, after I grabbed it I decided to look at the chain saws and hedgers since I am in the market to get these, immediately someone cam from the back to the front door and hung out as if I was going to steal the oil. so I purchased the oil and they charged me a sales tax, I asked why since Oregon doesn't have a sales tax, they said it started about 6 months ago, so I left. I called the revenue office and they said it is a business tax that is being passed on to the consumer, now for me it was only .04 cents on $6.00 but on an overpriced chainsaw and hedger that could add up considerably . I won't be purchasing from them anymore, I haven't seen any other business doing this. read more

Our pressure washer died and my husband called Moen's to find out what they had that we could replace it with. Then we talked it over, and because he was going to be busy all day, I willingly became the designated driver to pick up the one he'd chosen after talking to the very knowledgeable Justin at Moen's. When I walked in I was greeted courteously; Justin was busy at the time but I didn't mind waiting. I love places like this. I am a hardware store junkie, and Moen's had lots of orange Kubota stuff too look at. I adore their little dump truck, for instance. It's just so cute!! (No laugh, eh?) I didn't have to wait very long; Justin brought out the pressure washer he'd put aside for us and explained to me very thoroughly how to use it. What I loved best was the way he treated me like an intelligent human being. I've had plenty of times when, because I'm female, I get treated as less-than and condescendingly, but not here at Moen's. By the time I left, I knew exactly how to use this new piece of equipment. Justin put gas in it, and after paying, off I went. I know lots of people like buying stuff at big box stores, but not us. We like to support local businesses because we know they will stand behind what they sell, and because it's better for the local economy. As J.K.P. said previously, these guys know their stuff and are experts in what they sell. They won't sell you what you don't need, they're courteous and friendly, and make it a pleasure to do business with them. High praise and five stars for Moen Machinery! read more

Garbage, I paid $14,000 for a BULLFROG Spa in January of 2021. Was told it would be delivered June then it was delayed to July, August, finally showed up September 17th with the wrong jetpacks, wrong exterior panels. I paid a licensed electrician $1500 to wire this boat anchor up and guess what, yep it doesn't work. I should have bought the Marquis made here locally in Oregon. Went last week just to look at what they had and to compare to my existing beloved John Deere. I told the guy I was happy with my Deere but I had done research and figured I'd like to at least give Kubota a chance. 22 minutes later I purchased a zero turn kommander. Nice sales staff. I brought them two items 5500 watt Honda generator that needed a new carburetor cost over 400 never ran great so took it to another place to fix it. The other was a stihl chainsaw ran great when brought it in just needed cleaned up and a tune up. Went to use and wouldn't stay running when giving it gas very frustrating so took both to Clark's in or city and they did a great job all works great now. read more

I called over 10 dealers to buy a new Kubota KX033. Justin worked with me to get the best price. Love the machine - and after 25 hours - one of the fittings on the machine had a small leak (from the factory- which I fixed with a crescent wrench in about 1 minute). I stopped by there and spoke to Justin, and without hesitation, he handed me a gallon of Hydralic fluid - no questions asked. Finding customer service like this is hard. I would buy from them again (looking to get a side by side) and also will send anyone there I know there. Support small family owned business - the big stores would not have taken care of me like this. Customer service like this is so rare these days. I am a Customer for life! read more

Moen comes thru again. My Stihl saw would not start and became flooded and took it Moen for a tune-up. Well their wait list was long and the counter guy offered to give it a try. Outside we went and he held the saw on end (not the usual method) and pulled the cord a twice. Of course it started, and then explained why he did what he did and said here you go neighbor. The sales guy treated my wife like a child who knew nothing about equipment. They quoted her one price and then charged her another on a large piece of machinery. When she aksed them about the different price, they said that sometimes you have to learn lessons the hard way because she didn't get it in writing. Learn this lesson jerks, you just lost out on tens of thousands in equipment sales. Will be buying our tractor elsewhere, along with lots of other pieces of machinery. Don't go here! Stark st. I waited for 40 minutes with two little kids, trying to ask anyone a 3-minute question about buying a new tractor. Never did get any help from the sales staff. Had to leave. Very frustrating, especially when having to stand outside with two active kids on a hot day. Nice parts people though, and good selection. read more

Terrible company. Brought in a generator for tune up and change oil. I got a call telling me the engine seized up and was going to cost $600 to repair. It was working fine when I brought it to them. The only option they gave me was to buy a new generator at cost. read more

I've never bought a tractor from here, but I've bought plenty of other things. These guys are experts at what they sell. This is not Sears where they just happen to work in the lawn and garden section today. These guys will tell you the difference in the equipment and if it's worth the extra money or not. I felt they were completely honest with me. I've had my lawn mower serviced here and it was quick. It might be out of the way for some people but, it's one of the best places to get your lawn and garden equipment. Whether it be a weed whacker or a small tractor, they've got it. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased a $6500 lawn mower two weeks ago with a aftermarket blower bagger and the owners nephew was supposed to order it and contact me with delivery date. Two weeks later, I called five minutes before closing and he was with another customer and never called me back. I'm ready to get my deposit back and go else where! Or just buy the bagger if I have to. Find another dealer if you want good service. This company is going to go down hill if he's turning it over to family members. I own my own business and I don't care what time it is, I will call my customers back on a Sunday at 11:30pm if they need something. He could've called me on his way home to at least give me an update! Get with the program buddy! read more

We were in need of a new lawn mower and after several less than satisfactory experiences with big box stores I decided to see what Moen's could offer. We were assisted by Greg who immediately greeted us and reviewed the features of the two mowers we showed interest in. He was very courteous, polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. We decided to make the purchase and he filled the mower with fuel, ensured the oil level was proper and demonstrated all the features of the mower. Repair of my saw took way longer than quoted and expected. Service manager said he had to take pictures and submit them, and that he had done that 5 days ago and was waiting for stihl corporate approval. I then called stihl myself and found out that it had been approved 9 days ago. I was completely lied to about the status by the service manager. I was then told it would be ready by the weekend, but when I hadn't heard back from them by the following Wednesday I called back again, and was told the part I needed was 3 weeks out. So I called stihl corporate again and found out that info was incorrect and the part I actually needed was available right away. I was then able to pick my saw up 2 days later. It still isn't fixed properly and is leaking gas and oil all over, which had NOTHING to do with the initial issue. The whole time the service manager had a horrible attitude and didn't seem to want to do any work or help. Also tried to talk to the owner during this time, and was never able to talk to him, always out of the office. I left a voice mail and never got a call back. read more

I worked here, and have never worked in a worse working environment. Id like to warn any one thinking about pursuing a career at Moen Equipment to look else where, if possible. I was lied to during the interviewing process by Greg. He told me I would be a full time truck driver and help with assembly and that the truck driver they had was going to move to being a full time assembler. I show up to work on my first day and his business partner did not even know that Greg had hired me. His full time driver at that time had no care to be a full time assembler. My only assumption would be that Greg was hoping Id do his job for him, and either run his driver off or make him do the assembly work. Work is work though and I'm not about to run a guy out of his job just because Greg does not know how to manage, or deal with people. Greg does not care about anything except for what his profit is. If you work hard he will send you home with out pay. If you slow down to stretch out the days he will try and get on you to get your job done faster (but why he does not have the work, and will just send you home with out pay.) The other employees in the shop mainly Darrel and Steve will stab you in the back any chance they get. Don't think Greg will help. He enables their childish behavior. We recently had a third valve installed on our grand L 40 series tractor by Moen machinery... Everything was OK until we find out that the quick connects are not on the tractor as it was discussed and quoted by Steve the sales manager. To Steve's credit he did agree to sent the delivery driver (day before Steve told us that the driver does not know anything about tractors), after we threatened to dispute and stop the visa payment and also file a complaint with the BBB. One more thing, .,..the price quoted was changed from $1208 to $1400 and Steve was nice to ask if we agree to pay $200 more than originally stated, because he misquoted the hours needed to install the third valve. We agreed over the phone that evening to pay the extra $200 in good faith, even thou I could have said NO! This is my experience with Steve and Moen Machinery.
