I have dealt with debilitating back problems since age 11, for almost the last 25 years. Herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, arachnoiditis, muscle weakness/loss, radiating nerve pain, surgeries, injections and countless different therapies. I always felt, intuitively, that this is the type of therapy I needed but I didn't know it actually existed, had a name and was practiced at an actual location. Well, it was meant to be. I needed something and fast and this place had the soonest appointment. I was assigned Victor G and it was honestly meant to be. He is very strong, intuitive, checks in and talks you through the entire process and what's going to happen. I appreciate that because I don't have to worry something will be sprung on me without warning. The therapy: you just need someone to push really hard where it hurts. That's exactly what I always wanted- someone to press on my spine or hip or whatever until the pain went away. Well, lo and behold, this is EXACTLY what they do. And it works. This is *not* traditional massage so don't go in expecting that. It's very targeted and done fully clothed. Depending on your needs, you could spend 2 hours just on 1 leg. This is the level of therapy they get to. I can't tell you enough how much you need to try this, especially if you're like me and feel like you've exhausted all options and are close to feeling hopeless and giving up. In 1 session pain I had for 6 months was gone. In 2 things were so loose and working the right way that I felt muscles I haven't felt in years. I absolutely see how people have said they've helped them avoid unnecessary surgery. I wish I had found this place 20 years ago but at least I found it now. Just try it. read more

My shoulder was locked up due to stress and even just standing was painful. Victor was able to use methodical pressure across my neck and shoulder to gradually release the muscles. Yes it hurt when he would press against a tight spot, but that went away as the muscle relaxed. I can now move my arm and head without pain. Is your body falling apart? Do you feel like you're dead? Little extreme? Well let me just say, I've witnessed first hand and second hand that the good people at Therapy Central can perform miracles. My girlfriend did some weird stuff at the gym one day and messed her lower back up. not cool. She tried to wait it out hoping it would get better. Well, 5 days later she could barely walk, sit, lay... anything. We were supposed to sit in the car the next day for 3 hours going to visit some family. This was not going to happen. We've been here before a few times and she knew she had to see someone there, otherwise one, we're not going to the family thing, and two she's going to be in some major pain. We called the Saturday morning at 8am to see if anything could be done. This is of course super short notice to make an appointment, but they made it happen! They had someone come in that was off that day to help her. We were so thankful! 2 hours later and she was able to walk, sit, etc. She will probably need some follow up visits, but I'd say 85% of her pain was relieved. The one time I had some work done was extremely painful for the first part, but I personally can testify that the therapy done here is something that can change they way your body feels and operates. Not only do they release your muscle pain, and get your blood flowing right again, they educate you on what you should be doing to help your body operate more efficiently. Working as a RN during the pandemic has been brutal on my body. I was great full to had met Kayla a PT and she told me about her services. The first 20 minutes I was petrified but was coached by Kayla how to breathe thru the pain. She worked on every limb of my body and focused on my core. Today is 2 days post visit and I am almost pain free. My lower back pain has drastically improved and I am able to fully extend my arm 80% better. Kayla took the time to explain everything as she continued her practice. I definitely plan to visit them again. I know I'm in good hands "literally" with anyone in the office. Ken is a life saver! You're likely not going to enjoy it, but he knows what he's doing. I was doing physical therapy for months on a shoulder injury with nearly no improvement in pain. I'd say 50% pain reduction after the first visit and 90% improvement after the second visit! I've also seen him for knee pain and walked out without being able to tell which one was the bad knee. I recommend him to anybody I ever hear talking about chronic pain that they've been unable to alleviate, and I've yet to have someone tell me that Ken wasn't able to help. read more

If I could give these guys 100 stars, I totally would!!! I heard about them from a cousin, who heard about them from my dental hygienist (Jennifer at Shoal Creek Dental). My cousin's back was messed up REALLY bad because he was in 2 different car accidents within 4 months and was in chronic pain with a high pain level. After his treatment with Ken, Andrew was jumping up and down and running around the office showing off his new found abilities. This is AFTER seeing multiple doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, etc. I obviously made an appointment immediately and even though it's slightly painful while Ken is working on you, after he's done you feel like a brand new person. Not only that, though!! Throughout our 2 hour appointment he gave me a wealth of knowledge about "eating for my blood type", using a standing desk to stop my body from degrading itself (since our bodies weren't designed to sit in an office chair for multiple hours per day), and various exercises to do at the gym. The guy is an expert in this field and I cannot recommend him enough to you. But don't take my word for it, give it a try for yourself. Your pain will be gone after only 1 treatment!!! read more

I went to see Ken at the Round Rock location for a nagging shoulder injury that just wasn't progressing after three months of PT. Man, it hurt. But, man, it worked! After the first session, I had nearly full range of motion back in my shoulder. I went back for a couple of follow-ups, just to keep things moving. I would rate Therapy Central at 10 stars if I could. This is THE place to go if you suffer back pain. Ken and all the staff at the Therapy Central clinics use a very different form of massage therapy. It is a very deep muscle massage that restores the natural balance of your body's muscular structure. Does it hurt? Yes, for a moment it does. Does it work? YES, IT DOES and very effectively so. I went to Ken for an extremely painful back. I could hardly walk into the clinic. After the first massage, I was able to walk normally and after two followup sessions my pain was completely gone. I particularly appreciate the business philosophy that Ken has instilled at Therapy Central. The goal is to correct the root causes of your pain and to do that quickly and effectively. This is very different than the usual namby-pamby rubdown that you typically would receive elsewhere that feels good for a moment, but keeps you coming back forever for future treatments. Instead, Therapy Central massage relies on personal word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied patients who have found effective relief from pain. In addition to massage therapy, Therapy Central will give you specific recommendations on how to lead a healthier lifestyle to help avoid pain in your life. For example, using Ken's dietary recommendations, I lost 85 pounds over an 18 month period. I look and feel like a new person plus it was great fun in getting a new wardrobe to go with my new body. I have been going to see Ken and his therapists since 2001. There was a time I was in such bad pain and spent thousands of dollars going to different specialists with no avail. I was on a search to ease my pain since my pain was so bad. A friend recommended Ken and after just 1 session with him I was able to walk without help. I needed assistance before then. It took a total of 3 visits after that to be back to my pain free self. If I would have gone to him before I tried so many other therapists I would have saved myself so much money! Later I moved to LA. I hurt my back there and was in so much pain once again due to lower back issues. Again I could not walk or even use the restroom without help. Since I was in LA I tried to find the same type of therapist to work on me. I tried rolfing and other deep tissue massage and again it did not work. So I flew back to Austin from LA to get worked on. I left a week later good as new. Pain free. If you are in pain, go see these guys! I have since taken my son who was in Varsity Football for Anderson high and hurt himself. Once again, they were able to help my son get back in the game with just one session. If I could give them 100 stars I would. I recommend you try them out if you are in some type of pain. I have been going to Ken since Sept. of 2017. For over 3 years I had been dealing with left shoulder weakness, stiffness and a grinding noise when I workout. Ken has brought back my freedom of movement and I am able to now start using my arm in a normal way as well as workout without pain.
