I had two previous negative experiences years ago with physical therapy, and I only agreed to it for a torn rotator cuff so my insurance would pay for surgery. My therapist, Matt, was amazing! In very little time I had increased muscle strength in specific ways to decrease the stress on my shoulder and I was in less pain. Through the course of PT, I learned so much about how to care for my joints. Not only do I no longer feel the need for surgery, but I am back in the gym doing weight training again and my arthritis is better than it has been for years! I honestly never expected to be this pain-free again. Matt always took the time to explain things clearly, and even recommended additional reading when I expressed an interest. We have been patients here for years. Between dance injuries, recreational injuries and most recently work-related injuries, we have always been so happy with RRR. Every visit we have found the front office staff, Autumn and Jenn, to be super polite and helpful. They literally, like the good ol days, remember your name after one visit. I was diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) in my right shoulder in October 2019. The doctor recommended physical therapy instead of surgery. I was told that it could take a year or more before I had the full use of my shoulder. I chose to have my therapy at Round Rock Rehab, and I sure am glad I did. The office staff and the treatment providers were courteous and professional. My therapist was Brad Thorne, and I would highly recommend him if you need physical therapy. He answered all of my questions, and he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and adept at providing the therapy I needed. I received therapy from October 2019 to February 2020, and I have now regained the full use of my shoulder. Last year I had a bulging disc and a pinched nerve causing massive pain and numbing in my right arm and hand. My husband and I both have seen Brad Thorne in the past and so I knew he was the man to see. I had six weeks of physical therapy with Brad and I didn't have to have an injection or surgery that I thought I might have to have. Brad is professional and very personable. He really listens. The therapy from Brad made such a huge change in my life and I continue to do the strength training he taught me. Brad took care of me when I had to strengthen my knee to correct severe joint pain at age 54, and again after I had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in my right knee at age 58. The strength training regimen he used was not at all painful, but it was completely effective and long lasting. Whenever I completed my exercises, he hooked me up to a machine that prevented any muscle soreness from setting in. Some sort of electric current contraption that you control to your own comfort level. He is calm, patient and completely knowledgeable of his craft. Although I had some help I did not get much because the people here are so Republican and brainwashed there's no talking any sense to them. They got Fox News playing in the clinic and they don't allow anyone to speak up against the current administration with the way that they're handling COVID-19. I would be surprised if everyone is there OK not so great physical therapist that coronavirus. That's why even after visiting them this week I actually left in more pain because I spoke up against it and I got a lot of dirty looks and less help as they all want us to not wear a mask. I attended Round Rock Rehab in 2015-2016 for shoulder, bicep and back surgeries. Having attended therapy for other surgeries at different rehab centers before, I had an idea as what to expect. Well, I didn't expect it to be as pleasant as it turned out to be. I was extremely pleased with the treatment and knowledge my therapist, Brad, displayed. He truly knows his work and takes pride in it. All of the other staff members were very pleasant to speak and interact with. I've had several surgeries including a total knee replacement and have always had a great experience with the therapists here. Matt was awesome getting me back in shape for work. I had three disks plus bulging out to the point I was screaming in pain when moving . I went to Round rock Rehab and they had me in physical therapy program within weeks I felt better and stronger . Thanks to them I can walk again and almost no lower back pain at all. My range of movement is almost to what it was before. I went to Matt Gieringer in February of 2019 to help treat a right shoulder torn rotator cuff. He got me back to 95% and extremely minimal pain in just a few months and no surgery needed, so of course when I broke my left humeral head and tore my left rotator cuff, I went back to Matt! The staff and Matt remembered me and showed that I wasn't just another patient. I had shoulder surgery and after surgery my doctor prescribed physical therapy for me. I chose Round Rock Rehab. Brad Thorne was my physical therapist. He is exceptional.
