If you live in South Florida and drive a European car, this should be the only place you have it…read moreserviced. I have had everything from Volvo to Mercedes-Benz serviced at this shop and every time I drive off after a repair or maintenance, I am beyond grateful and happy for Brian's hard work, transparency, and dedication to my vehicles. It makes no sense to spend thousands more at a dealership. When I call with a problem, it's handled and Brian keeps me informed every step of the way. If there's more issues, he takes the time to explain what's up, why it happened, and what your options are. From a basic oil change or ignition coil change to issues more complex, all services are carried out and he truly is the reason why I'm never nervous anymore buying European luxury. Fair, honest, and reliable.

My Mercedes GLE350 SUV had developed a terrible smell in the passenger area, and it was so overwhelming that I had to wear a mask just to drive the vehicle to his workshop. In an instant, Brian pinpointed the issue: the engine mountings had melted, and the catalytic converter needed replacement due to overheating while driving. He mentioned that the melted mountings were quite an unusual occurrence. Obviously, this wasn't going to be a cheap fix, but I knew that if I had taken the car to Mercedes, I would have paid twice the price. Thanks to Brian's expertise and dedication, my car now runs like a dream. His attention to detail and care for his work have earned him a lifelong customer, not just me, but my wife as well, whose own Mercedes will soon be out of warranty. Brian's professionalism and skill truly set him apart. If you are looking for someone who knows his craft and values his customers, he is the one to trust!

Then pay a whole lot of money and wonder in the back of your mind whether you've been suckered out of your hard earned money.. I usually take my baby to the Toyota dealership. Which is another entire scandal in itself but I digress. Pete's is only open Monday through Friday 8am through 5pm. I came to him in need of brakes desperately. My breaks were at the point of no return. They weren't even squeaking any more. (Don't ever let your breaks get to this point) It was a miracle that I got to his shop in one piece. I also had in mind to have some routine much needed maintenance done. I had a list from Toyota. Their prices were just too crazy for me, hence why I was now with Pete's. Pete put my mind on ease right off the bat. He was nice and patiently explained his recommendations. Most of the recommendations from the Toyota dealership weren't needed. And his work including labor and parts was $200 less than what Toyota had quoted. I left with my car that same day with the work completed earlier than expected. I didn't get the usually feeling of being gypped out if my money. Good honest mechanics are hard to find. Pete's Auto Repair is a keeper.

They wouldn't be able to fully diagnose that day and I didn't want to leave it. Ultimately, I came back and worked with Issa to set up a time to drop my car off and get the work done. Vastly different experience from Mike Maroone which I absolutely hate to patronize. I'm talking service and price! At any rate, the problem I had fixed glitched one day and I called Issa to let him know. I set up a time to bring it back but it wasn't necessary because it's been months and it never glitched again. When I called to let him know I wasn't going to keep the appointment, he told me he'd done some research and bring it by anyway, when I had time. Previously, my car had only been serviced by Chevrolet dealers but with the aforementioned trash one, I am happy I found Pete's and will continue to patronize them.

I discovered when I went to pick up my car that the shop stated the check engine light was still going on so to the lower flaps on the front grill that they couldn't correct from their end. Being that I received a business card from Milestone Motors a few months ago that specializes in BMW auto repairs, I decided to give them a go. I figured they would tell me it wasn't under warranty and give me a fair price for whatever the repair was going to be based on what I looked up online. I was right. They did an excellent job performing a diagnostics on my car, also letting me know on other areas that were going to need my attention in the near future for repairs. Keep in mind, you will have to pay for the full diagnostics check but you will know everything that will need to be addressed in the future. I also was able at no additional charge to have my CarPlay working on my car again thanks to their review. They provide complimentary Lyft ride share to your house or work, which is very nice. They also have loaner options through Enterprise for about $35 a day if you need a car while yours is in the shop. They are flexible if you need to split up payment by different cards, etc. Jennifer who advised me on my car was clear and direct with the steps. Provided a full review of the inspection results and options for either approving or declining repairs. I have my confirmed auto shop to use outside of BMW going forward that is close enough to my house and ensure I have a fair deal on repairs as they arise.

How to Lose $529--Fast…read more Don't be me. This shop knows how to capitalize on customers who tow in expecting reasonable, or at least competitive, repair pricing--especially for a non-European vehicle. Jenny at the front desk was super friendly and helpful (she earns them the second star). She got me in right away, but I wish she had mentioned the $229 diagnostic fee when I called. It's not unheard of, but it's about double the norm. Since I had already paid $150 to tow my Jeep SRT there, I felt stuck and agreed. A few hours later, the real shock: $1,920 to replace a stock fuel pump. When I questioned the price, discounts started flying--too little, too late. I expect fair pricing from the beginning, not after I push back. So I paid another $150 to tow it out. The icing on the cake? Their upsell system flagged over $4,500 in "recommended" maintenance, including $1,178 for an oil pan gasket (despite no leaks or signs of wear) and $90 for a cabin filter. That just didn't sit right. Do better.

Unfortunately, I have to provide an update to my original 5-star review. After having some work…read moredone at the shop, my windshield washers weren't working, but I had just assumed I was out of fluid (even though the low fluid light was not on). I topped it off with washer fluid and the next morning it had emptied completely on my driveway. Turns out that some of the mounts for the reservoir were missing (the ARS mechanic had removed it to work on my vehicle) and because of that, the reservoir cracked and was leaking. Secondly, the low fluid switch wires were broken which is why I didn't know it was leaking before. I'm assuming the wires snapped when the mechanic removed it (it's hard to see the plug because it's tucked behind the reservoir). I reached out to ARS for help, but never received a response. So, I spent a few hours of my weekend trying to patch the cracked washer reservoir and re-soldered the wires. I was able to reduce the rate of the leak but it still drips out. I'll eventually have to purchase a new tank ($80 + shipping) and level sensor ($45 + shipping) and replace them. I also noticed most of the plastic clips that hold various parts of the undercarriage are missing. When I had work done at the Honda dealership, it was a bit more expensive, but they would always replace these clips, and I never received my vehicle back with broken parts. It's a shame because otherwise this would have been a good experience.
