They treated the home with respect, wearing shoe covers and cleaning up diligently, despite it being a dirty job. They had different methods for different vent styles, and helped with a few above and beyond tasks, like re-shaping a bent duct. Christian and Zeke suggested that the ducts of my home had never been cleaned, ever, based on the quantity and type of stuff they were finding. It seemed like a pretty intense job, but they were in good spirits the whole time. My dog was nervous about all the noisy tools- shop-vacs, leaf blowers, etc.- but the guys were so sweet to her, she wanted them to stay. I'm not kidding, the air quality is IMMEDIATELY better in this house, and the smell is wildly improved- maybe even gone. He was able to come the same day to fix the vent. From beginning to end they were very professional, personable, neat and efficient. Art showed me the blanket of lint inside my dryer and the poor dead bird that apparently had gotten stuck in the duct. I hired Lowe's Cleaning Services to clean the duct and evaporator coil of my furnace. They were…read morequick to respond and were able to schedule someone same day, which I needed since I was going out of town the next day. They sent two guys as my unit is an industrial roof-top kind (no idea why). They went through each vent with their rotor brush and vacuum and were clean and efficient. Malden, the main guy, was very polite and explained the findings. Two weeks later, we smelled a burning smell coming from the vents. Had a furnace technician out here to diagnose the issue and he mentioned some insulation was touching the the metal tubes that the fire goes through. He said it's possible the vacuum could have pulled some insulation out of its spot but could not say for sure. I contacted Lowe's and they said they would check it out right away. Malden came back and noticed the smell and immediately started disassembling the furnace. Was able to find the insulation under the motor and cut it away. We turned the furnace back on and he waited to make sure the smell went away, which it did. They went above and beyond to help out, even when the cause of the smell wasn't directly known. They were also very affordable when compared to the going rate. I would definitely recommend Lowe's Cleaning Services.

I had Imbert HVAC take a look at my central air unit because it was blowing lukewarm air. I was…read morehoping it has a small leak and needed some R22 freon. Imbert's technician was on time and very professional. He told me I needed a new compressor for $1699 and they took only cash. After a repairman ran off with $453 of my aunt's cash, I decided I did not feel comfortable giving the HVAC repairman $2000 (with labor) in cash especially without a full contact name and address. So, I told him I would seek a second opinion. I called STI Heating & Cooling who were booked for the week so I made an appointment for the following week. Ted arrived on time and was very professional. He took a look at my unit (which is 42 years old) and told me I needed a Hard Start Capacitor for $173. He also checked the amount of Freon (R22) told me I might need a little. He installed the capacitor and added a little Freon and my unit start blowing extremely cold air. Ted's work was great! He told me his father had an old unit like mines and he keeps him father's unit working. I told Ted the Imbert's repairman thought I needed a new compressor and Ted suggested maybe the Imbert's repairman was not familiar with older units like mine. I am SO glad I called STI Heating & Cooling! I told Ted they are now my go-to company for ALL my HVAC activities. I would highly recommend STI Heating & Cooling - they proved to be a huge money saver for me. I did contact Imbert and told the repairman he had misdiagnosed my issue. He did apologize and I appreciate that. He even tried to sell me another unit to replace my unit for $6500 which would have been a waste of money. The fact that he kept having to call someone for advice also makes me believe he was not very experienced. Bottom line - ALWAYS get a second opinion. I cannot recommend this company.
