Similar to many reviews they quoted one price, but after reviewing the job it was higher than what was quoted. They do a good job and explained what they were doing. They also cleaned our dryer vent. Would I recommend them and use them again, but be prepared for a price difference between what was quoted.

Day of they were on time, friendly, communicative, able to work with me to keep my cats safe yet out of the way, and my vents are now so clean. Jonathan was the field service tech and he carefully worked with each duct and had vacuumed each house section he worked in. He showed us photos of each duct before and after. He covered our stored goods in the basement that he had to work around. He carefully resealed all the holes in the ducts until future cleaning visits. The process took only a couple of hours and our cats were glad when he left and they could get back to sleep.

The phone number is an Illinois area code but I have called the number in the past and they are located outside of Illinois. I have asked them to correct the listing but it never changes. I don't know what that says about their ethics but the address on the webpage is my home not their business and I have tried through several other venues to try and get this corrected. I notified Bing since it allows an edit but it never changes. I have recently contacted wix.com, the company they used to create their website and hopefully they can look into it. I tried to contact Yelp where the owner or a representative of Granger has claimed the listing (and shouldn't they know the address is not correct). I have left a service request on their website explaining once again about the issue but have yet to hear anything back. Sure sounds shady to me. After living here for about a month, doing SO much cleaning, and still feeling like we were in an allergen pit, we opted for duct cleaning. Karl was friendly and communicative with a competitive price. Christian and Zeke came to the house early. They treated the home with respect, wearing shoe covers and cleaning up diligently, despite it being a dirty job. They had different methods for different vent styles, and helped with a few above and beyond tasks, like re-shaping a bent duct. Christian and Zeke suggested that the ducts of my home had never been cleaned, ever, based on the quantity and type of stuff they were finding. It seemed like a pretty intense job, but they were in good spirits the whole time. My dog was nervous about all the noisy tools- shop-vacs, leaf blowers, etc.- but the guys were so sweet to her, she wanted them to stay. I'm not kidding, the air quality is IMMEDIATELY better in this house, and the smell is wildly improved- maybe even gone. No, this is probably not a service you regularly need, but if your house is pushing 100 years old and reeks, treat yourself to a visit from Ugly Ductling.

He was able to come the same day to fix the vent. From beginning to end they were very professional, personable, neat and efficient. Art showed me the blanket of lint inside my dryer and the poor dead bird that apparently had gotten stuck in the duct.
