Whenever I come in town to work during the spring, I ALWAYS stop in Moe's. Why? Because it's dadgum good eatin'!!! I typically get smoked wings but I'd be willing to bet that you won't find a bad meal at this place. I also love the Mac and cheese.... Really solid BBQ spot in downtown Oxford. It's an order at the counter and seat yourself type spot with a large number of tables, both counter height and standard. Grab a spot if you see one as it's a busy place. The meat offerings are delicious! Chicken, pork, turkey, Ribs, shrimp, catfish, and blackened mahi are all at your disposal. Our group literally sampled a little bit of everything and did not find anything that we would order again! The line moves quick, the seating is first come first serve, the people move. They have a decent beer, selection, plenty of normal and sweet tea (read: hummingbird water), and fountain drinks. The shirt selection is pretty solid as well! After last night I can guarantee I will not be going back there. During bingo night, EMTs arrived to help another customer and a lady staff member shouted over the mic at a group of college girls to "go to hell" for taking a video of the situation. There was so sign of laughter or any effort to make fun of what was happening with the person being tended to. Simply an effort to show to their friends or even family members what is going on during a "fun" event. Not only was this extremely unprofessional it was morally inexcusable to behave this way. If there is ever a situation to speak to a paying customer, it should be dealt with peacefully and quietly. It ruined my night. The food is not tasteful enough to give them another dollar. I was unaware that people are not allowed to video things happening in a PUBLIC place. Not a good look on this place. Just gross. read more

I've had the ribs and smoked chicken wings (personal favorite) and I've tried various sides and have been a fan of all with the exception of the slaw. I really like the cornbread that comes with the meals and the banana pudding is also a winner. I've only been post covid so I don't know how it was before but I do feel comfortable both dining and doing takeout. read more

We were all looking for some good BBQ Friday after the baseball games got rained out in that monsoon. Decided to give this place a try since the old Rib Cage isn't around anymore. I got the Large Rib combo. - $14 comes with 2 sides, drink, and corn bread. Extra sides are $1.50. Got a banana pudding for an extra side...just to try. The large rib comes with 6 individual ribs. They were fall off the bone tender and had a good pepper rub. They are not wet ribs if that is your preference, but you won't find many ribs like that in this part of the world if you aren't here. As far as my sides go, I'll speak from what I got. The BBQ baked beans are really good, the macaroni and cheese was a little dry...but still ok. The cornbread was delicious. Perfect amount of sweet and then I think they pan fry it for a second to crispen it. The banana pudding was mediocre. It needs some actual bananas and some sweetened condensed milk, but that's how my mom makes it to give me instant diabetes. The BBQ sauce is a little different than what you will find around here too, but I liked it. I think its more on the tomato/vinegary side. More runny, with a hint of pepper and heat if you have a sensitive palate. Although I didn't get it, but did taste a couple of bites, the BBQ nachos were pretty tasty as well. My mom said they were good. She said the queso was good, but they weren't very BBQ-ey. Think you need to add your own sauce when it comes to the table. My dad also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. I don't really have a personal comment about it myself, but he did agree with me about the banana pudding. All in all this was a pretty good meal. The Rib plate and nachos seem to be pretty solid choices. I'd like to go back and try some of their other things including the sandwich. They also have all kinds of daily specials. Wife and I gotta have Moe's BBQ when we visit. It is great to see such consistency with great food! We even try to replicate Moe's at home in St Louis. We focus on the wings but add a few ribs for variety. Beans, slaw and potato salad are solid. Ask for extra white sauce for your wings. read more

Their customer service is great and you see the same people a lot which must mean they are good to work for. I love the environment there. It's a little more chill compared to the other places on the square. They have a downstairs area where there is a bar and bands play. The pull pork nachos are actually pretty fire here, and I say that as someone who isn't all that impressed with pull pork nachos in general. Moe's, however, does it right, and every other place that serves pull pork nachos in Oxford should take note. Edited 08/20/19: So, I decided to order some nachos today. I called ahead to place my order and left shortly to go pick it up. When I get there, my order was just sitting on the counter, in a very well air conditioned building. I asked the lovely young cashier if it had been out there long, and she replied no. Well, whether that was a lie or not, my nachos were definitely cold. She hadn't even bothered to place them in a bag while she waited for me to pick them up. Oh well. C'est la vie. Lesson learned. read more
