And in all honesty I've been to worse and I've been to better than this place. Service here was alright and even though there was a five minute wait for no apparent reason because I was the only person in line but whatever, I ordered, I paid, and was on my way out soon after that. My Chicken Homewrecker Burrito was pretty good although it contained mostly Rice and Beans with very little Chicken to speak of [as pictured]. They must use a much bigger serving spoon for the Rice and a super small spoon for the Protein portions I guess. I don't know, Lol. Anyway, that's how it goes these days. Worst pubic restroom I've ever seen/smelled in my life. I couldn't even go in there to wash my hands. The scent started at the front of the hallway, I should've taken that as a bad sign. Garbage was scattered everywhere, the stank was so bad I almost lost my tacos. Had to resort to the dunkin across the street for a proper restroom. Apparently Moe's is the place to be in Clark's Summit. We came here on a Friday night since we were sleeping at the Hampton Inn just up the street and it was packed. In case you are unfamiliar with Moe's, it's a Subway like Tex-Mex place similar to Chipotle. I always enjoy Moe's because they give free chips with every order and they have a salsa bar with 5-6 different styles to choose from. This particular Moe's had friendly employees who made the food very fast. The problem is the restaurant looked liked my microwave after reheating spaghetti without a lid. It was a mess. Some kids apparently threw a bag of Cheetos all over the tables outside, the salsa bar was a disaster and the trash was overflowing. Maybe take a person off the line to go clean up? I don't know. We used to go to Moe's all the time but it has gone down hill and we stopped going for awhile. We figured we would give it another try, a huge mistake. We got there and the manager asked us to wait till she filled a take out order. We said " No problem". A new worker came in and the manager asked him to wait on us. He said that he would. However, we had to wait 10 minutes while he told everyone why he was 15 minutes late. We were eating in and ordered. He said there were no trays. Afterward we saw the trays near the door. Everyone was too lazy to get them. He put everything in a bag, the nachos in the bottom of the bag and the food on top. The food was below ok and showed how lazy the employees were. I went to Moe's today as I do most days. Today, however, I was helped by a man named Will. My usual burrito has lots of ingredients that go into it. My husband stopped to get dinner and after greeting the employee with a hello, he was greeted with "what do you want" from an employee who was abrasive and argumentative throughout the entire ordering process. Adding insult, the burritos were so sloppy and lukewarm I wouldn't even throw them out for the animals. I think inmates eat better than this and are treated better by their guards. My wife and I went here for a Friday lunch. When we got to the counter to order our food we noticed how sloppy and dirty everything looked, food stains were caked on the glass and countertop. We looked at each other in disbelief how horrible the place was and quickly left. Read other reviews on Google that people actually got sick eating here and it is no wonder why. The food is better than decent, and what you expect more often than not. I don't know if they're understaffed or mismanaged, but the place is always dirty and not kept up. Not filthy or gross, just the tables aren't cleaned, the soda/salsa area looks like a bomb went off, the floor always needs to be swept. I've been there over a dozen times, both before and after the remodel, and this is always the same. Staff is very friendly. The cheesey cooperate stuff like yelling welcome to Moe's and the goofy names for menu items (that have no description, by the way) I can do without, but it's no big deal. It's just personal preference. My advice is just order what you want like you were anyplace else similar and forget the silly corporate names for everything. Don't worry what a Joey Bag Of Doughnuts or a Homewrecker is, there is no description written anyway, just tell them what you want as if it were Chipotle. With Moe's vs Chipotle vs Qudoba vs Pancheros, it comes down to individual store management and how fresh the ingredients are. It's priced similar to it's competition, which is very overpriced. But, that's 2022 for you. Everything is overpriced, including groceries. I recently spent over $40 at McDonalds for a couple happy meals, a Big Mac Meal, and and extra 6 chicken nuggets. So, yeah, it's overpriced for some burritos, but everyplace is overpriced. The staff here is great and they try, the food is always fresh, they just need a good manager or supervisor there all the time. I'd recommend it, especially to take out. Eat in is OK, but most of the time it's messy, not dirty, just like a tornado swept through the place. So whether that bothers you or not should guide you there. Like I said, it's clean. It just seriously looks like a tornado swept through the place most of the time. I can eat there, but as I get older, things like that irk me, like someone tell these kids to sweep the floor and wipe off the soda spill that's been on the counter the last 25 minutes, and take care of the 37 freaking plastic lids all over the counter and floor the last half hour, clean the spilled salsa off the counter - it's been 30 minutes, and there's been 6 dirty tables the entire time. This Moe's is slowly becoming a permanent "linner" stop on our way back home after weekends in Harford. Staff is nice enough, food is fresh and warm, and there's something for everyone. Except the dog. Music can be on the annoying side, but sports are on the tv. Bathrooms were scrutinized, and the wife gave the women's room a C- for low t.p. volume, trash overflows, and t.p. stored next to the sink. I travel to NYC from Rochester on a nearly weekly basis, and usually always stop at the Clark's Summit Moe's along the way. It's one of the few 81S stops that has some variety listed on "Food" sign. Moe's is great because you get to have some say-so in the creation of your meal. You step up to the counter and let the employees know exactly what you want in your meal, and how much of it you want! All of the food is fresh, and a nice healthy alternative to the typical fast food stop (depending on what you put on/in your meal). I usually go with a single taco. I know, how does that fill you up? Well, I load it with so many veggies that I usually need a fork to eat it (eating a taco with a fork is probably sacrilegious to many. The big wide bearded man at the counter was absolutely nasty. I'm new to the app, and asked when I should scan my points. He laughed at me and told me that I have to wait until he puts the order through the machine, as if the Moe's app rewards system is common knowledge. He rolled his eyes and let out an exaggerated when I selected the $1 tip option (which is +$1 than his wretched attitude deserved. He eventually started talking about how he had kids to feed (guilt tripping), so I asked him if he wants an extra tip. He made an absolutely disgusting xenophobic comment which was exactly "do I look Chinese to you" (I'm not even sure what he meant by this). So I tipped him an extra $5, telling him to feed his kids. This man acted like a child although he was at least 320 lbs and 6'2. Who are you hiring? I tipped $6 on a $9.50 burrito because of this man-child's attitude. I used to go here often and I've always had an amazing experience. When you walk in, all the staff would shout "welcome to moe's" and all really nice when ordering your food. There's plenty of parking space and room inside the restaurant for dine in. I've always gone with the nachos. I really like their tortilla chips. Got it mixed with some lettuce, tomato, sliced jalapeños, with some cheese and their famous queso. It's a fun dine in or take out experience for family and friends to enjoy a great taste of Mexican food. They also have a good variety of choices on their menu. read more

Their friendly, charismatic attitude and comfortably decorated dining room coupled with unlimited chips and salsa make me feel right at home. Went to Moe's last night with the wife. She ordered 3 soft taco's. When the server asked me for my order, I said 5 crunchy beef taco's. Well, the server dropped her jaw and guppy'ed out her eyes and said loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear " YOU WANT FIVE TACO'S?". OK so I have a weight problem. The women behind the counter are horrible at customer service. I walked in there to get burritos and they could even give me the slightest bit of kindness after I am so respectful and nice. I try to be understanding of people but this was ridiculous. I walk in to get food and I'm greeted with an eye roll, the food is good besides the fact there is no label on the food indicating which is which. If someone has a food allergy it's a great way to kill someone. I'm also pretty positive I was charged for a third drink but I wasn't given a receipt to prove it. The women behind the bar are awful at customer service, if they hate their job so much they should be fired. I have compassion for people but I was asking for the bare minimum and they couldn't even do that. I have been to this Moe's many times before, but today my experience there was very negative. Firstly, I would like to point out that I have NEVER seen a single woman working in this establishment. I do not know how this could be the case unless there is sex discrimination going on here. As for my experience today, I ordered a burrito with just tofu and rice, and when I asked for extra tofu, the guy making my burrito put two more heaping scoops of rice on it before adding a tiny scoop of tofu. I ended up just picking the tofu out and eating it on chips because there was so much rice. It was falling out all over the place. I paid $11 for my burrito and a drink. That seems very over priced for basically getting just a pound of rice in a tortilla. Next, I had to use the restroom, but it was utterly disgusting. There was pee on the toilet seat and not one piece of toilet paper to be seen. I ended up walking across the parking lot to use the bathroom in the Dunkin! The restaurant itself was extremely hot and the cushions for the booths are torn in a lot of places. In addition, the soda machine was not working properly. This establishment really needs to make some improvements. That being said, I have had better experiences here in the past and it does not please me to write such a negative review. read more

This is like a Mexican Subway - not in the same class as places like La Salsa/Chipotle/Baja Fresh (which don't exist in NEPA), but more similar to Panchero's, which claims to be Mexican. Moe's settles for "southwestern" and that's a more apt description. Ignore the confusing menu that differentiates menu items based on the addition or subtraction of something basic, like cheese or sour cream - just walk up and start ordering things. They'll tell you what you end up with based on what you want on your item. I ended up with a "Homewrecker" burrito and it was okay. Nothing memorable, which for some places that serve burritos is actually a good thing. The chips & salsa bar is also okay; my favorite was the tomatillo (salsa verde). The other salsas were average. Moe's is not expensive, but for a few bucks less you could do far, far worse (Taco Bell) or ridiculously more flavorful and actually Mexican (Italo's, Chicano's). If you want a fantastic burrito, head to South Side. read more

I was at Moe's today for the first time. From the outside I expected a different place. It seemed from the outside to be a waiter service style but upon entering we found out does not exist. Ah, Moe's Southwest Grill....I expected more. I'd always heard that Moe's was a much better Panchero's, but a poor substitute for Chipotle, and that assessment was spot on. I visited Moe's for the first time last night and while the food was alright and service was passable, I wasn't blown away by any means. Upon entering, I've heard that guests are boisterously welcomed with any number of staff members yelling "WELCOME TO MOE'S!".....that did not happen once in my half-hour at the place. Staff morale must be at an all-time low or something. I walked over to the counter to begin ordering and the most timid, soft-spoken kid/employee asked if I wanted guacamole or not. I had to have him repeat his statement 3 times. I'm usually good with things like that, but it irked me right off the bat. I then asked if I could have hot salsa or something spicy on the burrito that was being stuffed with chicken, rice and cheese....and was told that the salsa bar was at the end of the line and I could dip some out for the chips. Can't have hot/spicy salsa in my burrito? Unheard of. I'm already turned off. I also ordered peppers and onions, and the onions were overcooked and chewy. I had to pick them all out, which was also unpleasant. Hey, at least the cashier was outspoken and pleasant, which was a welcome change from the others in the Subway-esque food assembly line. I then took my tray (mine and my girlfriends' burritos and tortilla chips) with our two drink cups over to the soda machine (which is outstanding, by the way....gains the place a star) to fill them. This becomes a problem.....with one soda machine with a ton of options, people in Northeast PA are a very simple folk, and when faced with the daunting task of picking from one of approximately 45 varieties of fountain soda using a touch screen....things could get.....backed up. My food was basically cold by the time I dipped out salsa for my chips and jockeyed for position among impatient kids and waited in line for a soda. One more note, I felt as though the staff was cleaning up around me as I ate....at 7:15pm on a Wednesday. There were way too many people on the clock at that point and most were doing things just to look useful. All this fun and more for $21.00 for fast food burritos. That's a hell of a profit margin. Next time, I'll make a burrito myself at home and save money and the hassle, and be able to enjoy food exactly how I'd like it. This Moe's location has some work to do.
