My steak is always cooked perfectly, and in the rare instances over the years that something was not right, our server has been happy to make it right. Years back they moved to a new and larger location, but it still seems to be too small and understaffed. No matter what time you go, it's an hour plus wait with very limited seating at the bar. There was a child sitting behind me and he would not stop harassing my wife. He kept yanking at my wife's hair because it interested him. Went to this Texas Roadhouse for the first time and man I'm hooked! Greeted promptly by smiling faces and sat at a bar booth. Waitress was right there getting us our ice cold drinks. I had the 16oz steak with mushrooms and onions (it was HUGE!) and my dining partner had the rack of ribs. The steak was cooked perfectly and was melt in your mouth tender and delishous! I got the ceasar salad and baked potato with it. I loved how the salad and the salad bowl were ice cold. Refreshing on a hot day. My dining partner loved his ribs and he said the chili he ordered was amazing also. I never tried Texas Roadhouse before and was looking forward to the opportunity to try these rolls I heard so much about. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked into a packed house. I asked if I could sit at the bar and I found an area where I could sit. Frankie was the bartender and she was super busy and seemed super rushed. I ordered wine for the night which was good. For food I went with the shrimp skewers, rice, mashed potatoes and corn. It took a while for it to come out so I tried the rolls in the mean time. They were just ok. I am not a fan of a sweet tasting roll. The food finally came out and it looked good and it tasted good as well. The bill was only about $36. All in all I enjoyed my time. read more

Place is usually great. I would say tonight was just a bad night. Our server was terrible. As I'm speaking to him mid sentence turns around and takes care of another customer and never brings my request. But most experiences here are good. I would've talked to manager but they didn't show up to tables like normal either. Also we call ahead a lot. Get a message to come in and when you get there it's another 15+ min. This is now my 3rd time here and since I always stay at the Holiday Inn next door this is a given for dinner. But now the third time was just the same as the prior two trips. They always overcook my dang orders. First time here I had the 20oz ribeye then the shrimp & ribeye & now the chops and dang every time there horribly over cooked to the point that there like chewing leather. I don't get it because this isn't something that happens at other TR locations across the country that I frequent. We decided to stop for a quick lunch. We checked in at the hostess stand. The host said that it would be a 5-10 minute wait and we should wait inside our car. They would text us when our table was ready. I was ok with that except for there were no less than 15-20 people waiting in the vestibule seated on their benches. Nevertheless we went back to the car and within 2-3 minutes we received a text stating to quickly return to the host stand. I ordered the Smothered Chicken for lunch. It is a grilled chicken breast topped with mushrooms and onions and either melted cheese or some kind of gravy. I chose the cheese. It also came with two sides. I chose the fresh vegetables and a cup of chili. My dining companions chose the Steak Kabobs and the kid's steak bites. The chili is really very good. It's topped with the right amount of shredded cheddar cheese and a scant amount of red onion. I was pleasantly surprised by the Smothered Chicken. It was incredibly juicy and tender. It didn't taste like some frozen meal that is usually served at fast casual chain restaurants. I would order this again but it doesn't need the cheese. The kid's Steak Bites are always a big hit. The big miss was the Steak Kabob. The marinade had a terrible flavor and the presentation was terrible. Our server was very polite and quick. She was there anytime we needed something. Up here in Dickson City (outside Scranton PA) visiting my dad for the weekend. Really like this place. The steaks are fantastic. Always busy, and tonight was no different. The wait was 60-70 minutes. Oh-boy. We were early (5pm) so we decided to tough it out. Ate WAY too many peanuts waiting. While waiting we saw many people get seated that came after us. See my TIP for this place. Anyway, got seated. Had a 12oz NY Stirp, and my dad had a 16oz Sirloin. Now my dad is not shy about spending my money. He got it loaded, and 2 sides, extra bread. He eats 1/2 and asks for a "doggie bag". I told him it's a "box", but you can't tell a retired Army Master Sergeant anything. Service was very good. Stopped here for dinner Thursday Night. They are very accommodating for larger parties. We had 6 people with us and were sat very quickly. The hot rolls with butter they bring to every table are deliiiiish. It was hard for me not to eat a third roll. Talk about carb overload. The menu has everything. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich and substituted corn in place of the steak fries. The pulled pork sandwich was delish, the corn was smothered in pepper and was sodium overload. My friend got beef tips with a baked sweet potato on the side and it looked amazing. The waitresses are all cute and young. Went to use the veterans day gift card provided by Texas Road House @veterans day. We got the 6 ounce sirloin with 2 sides a sweet potato, and a bowl of chili using the card. Thanks We also got 16 ounce prime rib with Ceasars salad and sweet potato. We have been here before, and it didn't disappoint. Prompt service and an attentive server. Both steaks cooked exactly as ordered. As an Air Force veteran I very much appreciated this. The last handful of times we ate here have not met the standard we have come to expect from Texas Roadhouse. Recent reviews have thoroughly highlighted problems, so I'll be brief. A couple notable complaints, pulled from our past few visits: 1. Ribs that had the consistency off beef jerky. 2. "Ribeye" that was more like London broil in both consistency and flavor. 3. Exceptionally dry chicken. The one complaint I could make about every visit: The manager asked if everything came out okay but walked away in 0.25 seconds before I could get a word out. I was vising my friend for the weekend and had eaten a lot of junk food over the past few days, so when he suggested we come here for lunch I thought that it would be good. I had been to one in Albany once before and didn't enjoy it, but I ordered things that probably weren't their strengths (Caesar salad and BBQ chicken). Like a sucker though, when reading their menu I saw chicken-fried steak with cream gravy and jumped at it. For sides, I had fries and steamed broccoli/carrots. We started off with an order of "Rattleskin bites" which are jalapeno cheese deep-fried balls. They were very good. My steak was absolutely enormous and looked like a large piece of fried chicken. The menu said "hand battered" but I suspect this was premade. The batter cracked off and was lovely (like KFC chicken) though the steak inside was relatively tough and about 1/4" thin. You got way more breading than meat, and the meat wasn't great. The cream gravy just tasted thick and white, not really of cream or salt or anything. I barely touched the fries, but the steamed vegetables were perfect with a slight bite. My friend's steak and mashed potatoes looked good, though the serving size of his steak was much smaller than mine. In terms of actual meat, though, he probably got more. I was so full from my steak and vegetables that I only had a couple of fries, and we left two of those delicious rolls on the table. My meal wasn't bad... it was just average. Perhaps next time I should just stick with regular steak. The food came out quickly. Service was prompt, and they refilled my lemonade three times without asking. I loved the free peanuts. They had football pre-game on the television, but the closed captioning was off so it was impossible to understand what was being said.
