It's been awhile since I'm gone to Moe's but it used to be a favorite. The lady's order in front of us had to be redone bc it was made wrong. We ordered a kids taco meal with an extra taco and the burrito junior value meal to go. I was charged for TWO kids meals saying he added extra meat but was only given one drink plus missing his queso and side of beans. Thus I paid $14.95 for two kids tacos and a kid drink, and never received his queso or beans. The cashier tried to charge me for an included drink (part of the value meal) and corrected it after I called it out twice. On the bright side, the unsweet iced tea tasted fresh and there's an expanded sauce selection. The kaiser sauce is gone but I rec the yummy Moe's sauce. read more

Terrible food and worse service. Got two tofu bowls and it was hot mess. The food was lacking a ton of flavor while also having a weird after taste. The restaurant was really dirty and looked a mess. I hadn't been to Moe's in a while and this made it all the more disappointing and why I wouldn't go back. The two employees working didn't even seem like they wanted to be there. I enjoy Moe's food. Today I had the Queso Taco Crunch. At $3.49, the price was right. I was still able to dress it how I wanted it. I will say that I felt rushed by the server as I chose the toppings for the taco. There was no one in line behind me so I didn't understand the need for speed. Ate there today, nothing about the home wrecker burrito was good. Too many toppings to fit into a standard flour tortilla, so they used two. When I went there nobody was in the dining room, that should have been my warning sign; the meat was cold. The burrito ended up costing $18 dollars and some chain after a 10 percent tip, total rip off. I will not be back, half of it is sitting in my trash. Moe's used to be good. This was a good experience. You can see this location from the main road but you have to take a side road to get there. Pretty strange. I got here 15 minutes before they closed on a Monday and they were happy to serve me. Person making my food was extremely nice and even cracked jokes. $6 Burrito Mondays are amazing. The guac is free. I paid extra for the queso and it was well worth it. They give you so many chips that I don't know what to do. I ended up feeding half the chips to some birds. Moe's is.nit authentic Mexican food,but they don't claim to be. It's pretty good TexMex and can be seen as a healthier alternative to fast food. You can create your own taco, burrito,salad, or bowl. Just tell them what ingredients you want and it's made right in front of you. I've always enjoyed the homewrecker burrito, it's a pretty big burrito. Today I tried the tacos (pork,steak,and chicken) and well I have a new favorite. The tacos were more flavorful than the burrito in my opinion. They have a Coke freestyle drink machine and I always like to choose a different drink. I redeemed a free queso which I received when I downloaded the app. It's not like cheese dip at Mexican restaurants, it's thicker and tasted ok. I wouldn't go as far as coming here strictly for the cheese dip, but I will say I'd make a special stop for tacos. It was empty when I arrived, just a few patrons eating in, then I guess everyone followed me to Moe's because by the time I left the line was at the door. If there is a single place in Memphis I recommend that everyone should eat regularly it is Moe's. I have been coming mostly to this location weekly for almost the past year. The burritos are always good and very consistent, the salsa bar and endless chips are tight, their special drinks, Moerita and Vanilla at Peachtree, are great and I recommend everyone try them. Moe Mondays are great because the burritos are cheaper and the best part about Moe's is their rewards app. The Moe's Rockin Rewards App has gotten me a total of 13 free burritos in the past year. This could be fixed easily and I'm surprised it hasn't been. We've been to his location a few times in the past few months and nothing has gotten better. I went with a group of teachers here during a teacher appreciation week where with a teacher ID we got 50 percent off. Best deal ever!! My vegetable with brown rice quesadilla was stuffed and it came with a side of chips and a really spicy but small container of hot sauce. I can't really call it a salsa since it was pure liquid. I did add guacamole to my quesadilla which was extra, but I didn't mind. This place is set up like a Subway or other similar establishment in that they have containers of prepped veggies, condiments, and cooked meat and the customer gives ingredients for the employee to put add into the burrito, quesadilla or bowl. Only 1 teacher in the group had her ID on her but the cashier was not going to argue and let us group of teachers have our discount. My order was only $3! I feel like we paid much more than we expected to (compared to similar restaurants) and the quality and taste of the food was less than what we expected. My family and I went to eat here last night and they got my order mixed up with the person in front of me (who kept messing with his mask and touching his face..) and the staff let him touch my food so we asked them to remake it and they did. I have never had a bad walk-in experience here. The food is good, the staff competent and welcoming, and it's a good place to grab a bite after a long day. My go-to is the Homewrecker burrito, but having just tried the Wrong Doug stacker, strongly considering branching out on future visits. The free chips and salsa bar are a big plus, as well as selling guacamole in a cup bigger than a thimble. I get it - avocados are expensive, but $4 here gets you 4-5 times what a certain other burrito joint would give for the same price. Slightly spendier than your average fast food joint, yes, but worth it. If they just added chorizo to the menu, this place would be perfect. Thanks a lot, guys! read more

I've eaten here twice, and generally, it's pretty good. Here's my disclaimer - I come from Southern CA, land of Mexican food. Now, I know that this is Moe's Southwest Grill, not Moe's Mexican Grill, so I've taken that into consideration. This is more along the lines of Tex-Mex, so I've adjusted accordingly. Now, on to the food. Both times I've gone, I've eaten the Homewrecker. It's pretty good, but nothing amazing. They generally assemble an OK burrito, but it's been fairly messy both times I've eaten it. Their guac is pretty good, and not loaded with tomatoes, which is nice (tomatoes are to guacamole as rice is to burritos). Anyhow, their steak is generally pretty good, too. My wife got their tacos, and wanted Carnitas. That was a problem - they didn't have any carnitas ready. They told me they were making it up, and that it would be ready in about 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, the carnitas was ready for the tacos. Underwhelmed. And now, to their salsa bar. This is the part where I feel like I was most disappointed. Their salsas lack a complexity of flavor that can be present in salsa. Sometimes, it doesn't have to be just about hot or not hot - there are subtle variances that can be infused into salsa that just aren't there with Moe's salsa. Would I return? Sure. Would I go out of my way to find a Moe's? Probably not. It's something I'd go to if I were hungry and it was there, and/or if I was walking through an airport and wanted predictable Tex-Mex. read more

"Bowl"ed over with delicious food My wife and I have eaten at Moe's before, but we had not had the "Bowls" that we tried recently. It's nice to "pick and choose" what you get in your bowl (as opposed to some "fast food" places), so each of us had some great tasting food. Everyone is greeted by the staff when you come in and the folks that took care of us were quite friendly. I decided to have both rice options, but the part that impressed me the most was the Chicken. Oh man, it was so moist, so tender, and so well-seasoned that it made my entire meal delicious. Having all of the ingredients blend together and form one fantastic bite after another made for a superb dining experience. If you've been to Moe's, you know how good it is. No apologies , absolutely no accountability for what had just taken place. To add more insult, they drenched the tacos with the creme. I went today and low and behold they had a Moe's Monday special where you get a burrito and chips and your pick of salsa at the salsa bar. Staff was a little so so. We went in as soon as they opened so maybe they weren't quite awake yet? 2 of them seemed kinda sassy and felt like they had an attitude to me but my burrito was still delicious. The elderly man at the cash register was awesome and very attentive and talkative. Also I'd like to recommend you all try the new Moerita soft drink. I'm giving Moe's 2 stars (as opposed to 1) because of the "healthy" aspect of your food compared to other fast food. Moe's! What's going on???!!!! I used to love this place. It is close to my office and the price is nice and the food WAS much better than other "fast food". However, it's been a while since I was in. My how you've slipped! My most recent visit may be my last, at least at this location (I DO like Moe's food, well . . . did). I have an aversion to filth. It appears that the entire restaurant is turning into a greasy mess. The floors, which when new were gorgeous slate tiles, seem to be covered in a layer of grease/slime! Do you use a clean mop head daily, or do you use the same nasty mop water and mop head day after day after day? The dining chairs all appear to have been in a bar-room brawl. The ends of the booth benches are all frayed like some piece of equipment beets the daylights out of them on a daily basis. I could take the fraying booths if it appeared that the floor had even been mopped in the past year! For the Food: The food had no taste. I got a steak Joey Jr (formerly Moo Moo Mr. Cow, only now more expensive without a cookie). The meat had no flavor - none! The tomoatoes and onions had no flavor. The grilled mushrooms had no flavor. Has everything changed since a year ago? The wall decor has changed too, but for the better, but it looks as if that, too has been through WWIII. After seeing the condition of the filthy floors and beat-up tables/chairs of the dining area, I was terrified to visit the restrooms - which is normally a visit I make even if just to make a rude comment about it on Yelp. So, for this review, at least I'm not ripping apart your restrooms, but I dare readers to check them. I'm trying to start a restroom revolt! Mainly because most are so revolting! This Moe's location is beginning to remind me of an old Long John Silvers (where did they all go?). I used to love those as well, but they all seemed to get SO disgustingly greasy (floors/walls/seats, etc) that you'd fear for your health just by walking in. This Moe's is NOT looking good. They used to be slammed with diners at almost all hours of the day and now they look deserted . . . maybe you should take a hint and sand blast the gunk off your floors and spice it up a bit! I look at this place as I think it is meant to be looked at, not quite fast food, but not quite a regular sit down restaurant. Even though I am from the southwest I look at the name of the restaurant and understand it is trying to give the customer a feel for the type of food they are going to serve. I know and love Mexican food and for a not quite fast food place, this is not bad at all. There are a good variety of flavors you can mix in your personally built burrito or whatever else you decide to have. I really like that you can customize your meal and add any extra kick you want. There is a decent variety of sauces to add as well and every time I have been in the place has been clean and the service friendly. As my rating indicates, Moe's is A-OK and I would recommend it for an easy, quick meal. And remember this, if you go away hungry after the huge portions they give you, I would be amazed. read more
