I have never been to Moe's, and unexpectedly wandered in. I was pleasantly surprised! I got a bowl with steak, rice, homemade guac and salsa's. It was actually delicious. My husband got a burrito which he loved and my daughter got a different type of bowl with adobo chicken I believe. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. I absolutely love the salsa bar in the back! You can pick your own sauces. Everything is very fresh and the tortilla chips were delicious. The people that work there were very nice and explained everything to me. This place is delicious, it is also convenient after I pick up my son from baseball. He loves getting the stack with beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, and occasionally some case queso. The servers are really nice and you get free chips when buying something. I would recommend this place to new customers and I hope people come so that is why I'm writing at five stars read more

Recommend the Cortland NY Moe's Restaurant. Good food. Comfortable in house seating. Friendly, caring service for sure. Staff were incredibly understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I was safe with my allergy concerns. Ordered our food online. It was ready when I was told it would be. And everything was correct in our order. The drink cups were smaller than they would be if we had ordered inside. That was confusing to me. I also don't think I got the Monday burrito deal which was disappointing. But I missed waiting in a long line and maybe that was worth it. read more

The workers are very rude and called my friend a "dumb mother******" because he couldn't work their broken card reader, and they didn't hear him correctly when he wanted to order a bowl of queso, not a cup. very very poor. staff was rude as soon as we got there. then they proceeded to not give us our drinks (okay forgetful that's okay) and my brother reached to grab the small cups we payed for. the lady who rang us up smacked my brothers hand away and told him not to reach over there and i politely asked them to be nicer. the lady was automatically rude to me and mocked me. my bf asked for her name and she ignored him. later the fountain machine went white, the screen went blank. my bf politely told a different lady and she said "that's not f*ing funny. my father got up and started telling that lady that he's not happy about the whole staff being rude to his family. the lady then started being rude to us. mind you this is a new lady. she made my food and i was very very nice. i told her that where i work even if the customers are rude to me (which we weren't being) that i still have a smile on my face. my dad then asked for a manager for help with the machine. the original lady came up to my dad and told them to contact the business online.. and i quote.. "i'm not f*cking dealing with you right now y'all are being a bunch of a*holes." i could never imagine ever treating a customer like this. my dad then tried to take a picture of her from where the register is to report her and this bigger guy that works there ran up to him from the other side of the wall and my dad jumped. the guy asked him why he jumped and my dad said "bc you just tried to run up on me". my dad started walking away and the guy said.. again and i quote.. "if you wanna see me run up on you we can go outside then i'll catch you there." then i started to get involved. bc be rude? okay sure that's fine not illegal but to threaten my dad when all of us were being nice to you? that's absurd. i started yelling at him saying "are you f*cling kidding me? did you really just threaten him? then i tried to start recording and the manager (i think) lady started telling me that she's going to call the cops on us if we didn't leave. i walked out. we then realized that me cousin was i. the bathroom that entire last encounter and so my dad went in there and waited for him (he's 14). i couldn't imagine treating people the way they did us today. i work a food business way busier then they ever are and i might be frustrated sometimes but i never take it out on the customers. even if they are being rude. looking at these reviews, it's crazy that nothing has been done for these terrible employees. i can guarantee that if the manager didn't think it was okay to treat customers like that then the rest wouldn't either. there's no reason why this problem hasn't been fixed yet and i will be calling corporate as soon as the open, at 9 am Monday morning. read more

Food at this location was pretty standard for a Moe's chain restaurant, everything was made correctly and tasted good. Was rather disappointed to discover that their fountain drinks do not have an ice maker? I wish I was informed before I purchased my fountain drink as it is a hot day and I much rather would've had some cold such as a bottled water instead of lukewarm soda. The young gentleman that took my order and made my burritos was very kind and tolerant as well as speedy. But when it came to the cashier that's when things went downhill. My mother was inquiring upon whether or not her water was included in the "Make it a Meal" menu bundle or not. She asked several times to try and understand what she was being charged for but never got an answer from the unpleasant lady behind the register. She instructed my mother to "Put her tip in", indicating that we must tip her for what?! Standing there and ignoring us, she didn't even take our orders! Upon not giving her a tip she neglected to give us our cup and then stormed off into the back mumbling underneath her breath. We then migrated to the dine in booths where there was left over food on the table. I got my warm diet coke and my mother realized we didn't get queso, she went back to the counter and the young boy who made our burritos filled up the side cup with queso and we took it back to our seat. It wasn't long before the rude lady who had checked us out stormed out of the back and over our seats in the dining area raising her voice practically accusing my mother of stealing the queso that we were just handed. She escorted my confused mother to the cash register where she interrogated her about the side of queso and who gave it to her, and then charged her upwards of 4 dollars for a tiny half filled queso side. The real kicker, she asked for another tip!! I would not recommend going to this Moe's, the food is good but not worth it for the rudeness you'll encounter from the lady behind the counter. read more

Oh for the love of Pete. We had eaten here about 5 times with fairly decent results until this week. I placed my normal order for two burritos, one being the Art V. with only rice, beans, cheese and fresh jalapenos, and so as always I ordered "Extra Rice and Extra Beans." Stated clearly on the item order as well as the overall comment section order. And I clicked the slider to indicate double rice. Figured I had my bases covered. Now, it was Moe Monday where everything is $6.99 it seems, but I didn't care, I wanted two full-size burritos as I ordered. When I got the bag it seemed light to me, but I mistakenly waited to get home to look. What I pulled out were two anemic little burritos that were actually not even large enough to call soft tacos. Both together would not equal a normal burrito. This would not have upset me so much if I had not just paid $24 for 2 burritos and some queso dip and gotten what around $4 would have gotten me at Taco Bell. My wife called and we were told by the woman who answered "we ran out of full-size burrito shells. And everything is the same price anyway today." No, not acceptable. I said out loud before the call ended that I was going down there, which would explain why a guy who I assume was the manager on duty met me at the register. He gave me a very curt "Can I help you?" Not a good start. I was on the fence on having them remake the order or getting my money back until that moment. His hostile tone and posture made up my mind. "I would like my money back for this order." "What's wrong with it?" (Still hostile) I pulled out the tiny (and I mean tiny, Taco Bell's $1.00 bean and cheese burritos are larger) Art V and said "This is NOT a full-size Burrito." "Yeah, well, we ran out of full-size shells." I looked around when I came in and noticed everyone in there with burritos eating full-size burritos, and the staff on the line making, you guessed it, full-size burritos. I said something about it being totally unacceptable to give us such a tiny little thing for $7 and was told again, everything is the same price on that day. Again, hostile attitude. I don't care what sort of insane price thing they have, sending someone out the door with two tiny little burritos and a cup of queso and charging them $24 (Well, $22 because I added a $2 tip as always...) is absurd. And compounding that by treating me as if I am the jerk because I am unhappy with that, is the epitome of poor customer service. I said I wanted my money back, he angrily asked me if I wanted him to remake the order but at that point, no way in hell. I said no, I want my money back, and I want the name and number of the manager. After fumbling with the register and failing to refund my card, he shoved the cash for the order in my hand, went in the back for 3 minutes and came back out with a single name "Carolyn" and the phone number for the store scribbled on a scrap of paper. He told me she was the store manager, and would be there tomorrow. I left. I intended to go down the next day but how much time do I feel like spending with this now that I am over an hour in? I sent in a comment through the "How did we do?" link at the bottom of the order. 24 hours ago I got an email from corporate: "Thank you for alerting us about the recent issue regarding your purchase at Moe's Southwest Grill. We take the incident you described very seriously and apologize for any problems you encountered as a result. This particular Moe's is an independently owned and operated franchise. We have forwarded your concerns to the owner/operator and have asked them to reach out to you as soon as possible. Loyal guests are the foundation of our business. Your satisfaction is important to us and is one of the many reasons we are committed to providing a quality, great-tasting product with quick and friendly service." No response from the owner 26 hours later. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend THIS Moe's location in any way. Honestly, I've never been treated so poorly in a customer service situation. They obviously figure that the college kids will offer them a continuously replenishing supply of customers so they don't care what the locals think or if we eat there. read more

I have to agree with all these reviews. I ordered moes off of uber eats because i'm a college student with no car. I got a bowl and my friend got a quesadilla and we got a side bowl of queso. When the food got here there was no queso, which we payed almost $5 for and instead of pico on my bowl there were gobs of guacamole and the steak was incredibly overcooked. I come here often and the service has become unbearably slow. The servers are nice - they really are - but they are far, far too casual with the pace in which they serve. They also seem to take their breaks during the heart of dinner time, meaning only one person is making preparing everyone's meals while another is working the register, which causes a huge line back up. This is the worst Moe's I've been to ever. I downloaded the app for a free homewrecker since it was a new Cortland store opening up. When I went to pay w the free coupon the new girl asked for 8 cents. Fine. I offered a card since I didn't have cash on card. The transaction wouldn't go through. I had several cards w plenty of funds that wouldn't ring for 8 cents. I almost walked but the lady behind me gave me change. The lettuce was browning the ground beef looked old in the containers. The burrito was made sloppily as the kid struggled to wrap it and the juices started to come out. He just rewrapped it in the juices making it soggy and messy when I sat down to eat. I tried to come back months later and again the lettuce was browning and meat looked old. I heard they closed early one summer weekend due to so many people calling and refusing service to customers. Seems like it's poorly managed and incompetent staff. I'll never go back again. I'd rather drive by on my way home from work and eat at Garcia's. read more

Utterly disappointed with our last Moe's experience. Ever since the students have been back it has obviously been super busy. So we decided to order online and pick it up and skip the line. We walked right to the sign that says "ordered online? Skip the line" we stood there as the cashier cashed out three customers with no acknowledgement from her at all. Feeling ignored, finally I had to say excuse me but we ordered ahead online. She looked at us with utter confusion and continued to cash out customers. She didn't even bother looking for our order. Again I said do you know where our food is that we ordered 30 minutes ago? And she said hold on and went back to get the stand in manger I'm assuming who we could see was in the back on her phone through a window while they had a line of customers to the door waiting for food. Usually there is a red head manger that keeps that place in check. So the stand in manager comes out and barely acknowledges us as well. At this point we were fed up and ready to just leave, but we already paid for our food on the app. A food taxi company came in after us and was given her online order and still we had zero acknowledgement from the manager. Irritated, I said was our food made or not? Because at this point we've been standing here for fifteen minutes and no one seems to want to speak nor deal with us. Finally she says we got your order and it was made but.. we don't know where it is and may have given it away but they are making it now. We stood at the counter for another five minutes before we realized no one was making our food and the manager had just started it. Finally we get our food with $10 Moe's dollars and we leave. When we get home we realize that our order was incorrect and probably one of the most poorly made burrito and nachos we have ever received from Moe's. Suggesting they need better staff in that establishment is an extreme understatement. read more
