Maruchabirria (cup ramen with loads of birria broth and two huge hunks of beef hiding under the toppings)

Drool worthy authentic Mexican food for a great price! There are Mexican snacks and spices on shelves by the register, and a cooler full of drinks incase you somehow don't enjoy their horchata. You can sit outside, in the front, or in the cooler back area. My boyfriend's go to is the steak torta, and I always go for the maruchabirria (ramen in a rich birria broth with big hunks of beef). We also share some hot cheetos elote and a couple of BOMB street tacos (any type is perfect, especially drenched in their spicy green salsa, trust me). They deserve more business, and they'll certainly be getting more of ours!

We were in town for an event and decided to check this restaurant out. It's an old diner turned into a Mexican Resturant. There was nothing fancy about this place but the food was delicious! The food is very fresh and flavorful. Probably one of the tastiest refried beans I have had. My whole family really enjoyed their food. The staff is very welcoming. They greet you the minute you walk in. They are very attentive and the service and readiness of the food was quick . We will be returning once in the area again. I was not able to take more pictures because my family was too quick to dig in.

Our whole dinner. Shrimp fajitas and a Burrito

Food, atmosphere and employees were amazing. I cant wait to go back. I have my eye on those dessert nachos

The pork bao in particular had this beautiful char that added just the right smoky depth without overpowering the sweetness. Absolute standout. The ramen was exceptional. Rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. My tonkatsu was beautifully caramelized -- that golden crust giving way to tender, juicy pork -- while my girlfriend's chicken katsu was crispy, perfectly cooked, and somehow still light. No sogginess, no shortcuts -- just done right. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between cozy and modern, and the service was genuinely warm and attentive without hovering. One of my favorite touches? The large visual menu on the wall. For anyone who isn't super familiar with this style of cuisine, it makes ordering approachable and stress-free. Such a smart move. Yori House nails flavor, texture, presentation, and hospitality. Can't recommend it strongly enough -- we'll absolutely be back.

The menu is very interesting with everything Korean, Japanese and Thai inspired from fried rice to tacos to noodle dishes. Service was very good and though the restaurant is small, it is well appointed. We ordered edamame and a pork bun for appetizers. The edamame were served lightly salted and warm and the pork bun wonderful and flavorful. I highly recommend. For a main dish, I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. The only complaint I have is that the dish was pretty salty. The shrimp were delicious and the portions for everything were generous. We ordered spicy fried rice to take home and I'm so glad we did. Sorry but no photo of the pork bun as we dove into it as soon as we got it.

Every time I lament the fact I spent money to eat there... I had read that this was a good one on the 'Where Syracuse Eats' Facebook page, which can be a pit of snakes at times. I decided to bookmark it, as a 'just in case' I was ever passing through Waterloo. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when my mom and I walked in around 5:30-5:45 p.m. and not a soul was in the place. Apparently, people in Waterloo eat dinner around 6 p.m. so the place was popping as we were eating and then leaving. My mom is a vegetarian so we shared the vegetarian combo D plate. I ate the tostaguac and she had the enchilada, and we shared the rice. I normally find the rice at Mexican restaurants to be underwhelming, even at my favorite spot in Detroit. This was delicious and I ate it! (There may have been some debate on who should get the last few bites of rice!) I also ordered a side of their hot salsa. I think this was $2 but it was so good and so worth it. The regular salsa was fine but not spicy at all. Service was fast once we decided what to order. No pictures because I was too excited by an actual Mexican place within a reasonable distance from me! Skip the places in Syracuse and come to La Fiesta Brava!

We waited for over 20 minutes before we left. To their defense, they were totally overwhelmed. should've been their biggest moneymaker of the year Cinco de Mayo and they failed miserably. I'll never go back there. Was never really impressed with their food anyways this is no shape or form of authentic Mexican food. The ambience has much to be desired as well. It was a filthy dump.
