This location is large, I think three retail units combined as they grow. Its clean with surprisingly comfortable chairs. I appreciate that they don't try to pretend to be Mexican and call themselves a Southwest grill. If you are foamier with Qdoba its about the same thing with a few extras. They have great salsa's and more choices of what and flavor than most American style latin food. This one has the fancy Coke machines with all the flavors if you like that. The wait was not bad and you get to see them make your food and choose each individual thing you want in your meal as you go. Having grown up in the West I have a tase for real Mexican, roadside, Southwestern, Peruvian, Brazilian and every other kind of Latin food. This is not that, its not bad, in fact its rather good and you have a lot of fresh and healthy options including vegetarian choices. I think its a great place for lunch or dinner if your planning on eating in. You can get it to go, but if your going to wait in line and watch them make it why not eat it there while its fresh and hot. read more

Grabbed lunch with the wife today. Got two tacos with chicken, rice, black beans and pico! You get two just little bigger than street tacos but they loaded them up pretty well. You also get side of chips (not house fresh just regular ol bagged tortilla chips). The wife got steak nachos and they came loaded. You choose the toppings so she had rice, beans, queso, corn salsa and fresh jalepenos. Service was friendly as usual. Does get annoying thst every time someone comes in the yell Welcome to Moes! My grandma's favorite is the chicken club quesadilla. I'm a big fan of it too but probably anything with ground beef like a soft taco or burrito I just crave all the time from here. (Unfortunately I don't live nearby or I'd be here all the time. Salsa choices are never ending. read more

Love the food here. Was looking forward to eating here while visiting Joplin, since I don't have a moes where I live. Horrified to hear directly from a moes employee that they can't enforce the mask mandate other than just "putting a sign up". So plenty of people not wearing masks. I've never been a fan of American mexican food. This is the 2nd Moes I've been and is alot cleaner then the 1st Moes i've been to in upstate NY. The homewrecker is decent, I put everything in this burritto and I got serious heartburn and I never really get heartburn and I eat spicy food all the time. I've been to this Moes twice but I dont think i'll be going there again. I think the meat is pre-packaged; not sure but it doesnt look to fresh. The salsa bar is good as they have 4 different types of salsas; the Verde one probably being the best and the other 3 red salsas are mediocre at best. read more

Great FRESH food, wonderful service, clean, and family friendly. There are lots of choices for every picky eater out there. I love Moe's! Me and my family have been going there for years and we love the fun atmosphere and the great food. However, recently I have been disappointed with the portions. I went on the lunch rush so one should take that into consideration ,but I paid extra for more meat and the "extra" was measly at best. It wasn't just the meat I felt like all the ingridients I added were skimpy. If I am going to pay almost $15 for a meal I want what I pay for, ya know what I'm sayin. For this type of food, the Joplin Moe's is a great place to go. Its atmosphere is perfect for laid back evenings out with friends or your spouse. It's family friendly yet hip enough for anyone to feel comfortable there. It's the rare "fast food" restaurant where you can really hang out and hear yourself think. I live in the Southtown area so it's almost like a neighborhood joint for me, it even has a cozy small town atmosphere that I consider to be a big accomplishment for a franchise store in a large chain like Moe's. My friends and I all agree the steak Homewrecker with or without the tortilla is the best thing on Moe's menu, but the fish tacos are also worth a try. Stopped eating at Moe's a few months ago after at least once a week for the last several years. Great, mostly female staff was replaced by a group of lazy young men, some of whom were unkempt. Not good for business. The service was terrible. The restaurant was very dirty. No longer a pleasant experience so we stopped going to Moe's. A friend recently told us that things have improved so we tried Moe's again today for lunch. Our friend was correct. The staff was attentive. The restaurant was very clean. The food was great. It was however, a Tuesday afternoon. Let's hope the improvements are consistent and in place in the evening and on the weekend. We will be back soon hoping for the best. read more

I love this place but they changed the only reason I went there... the tacos... that was the only reasonable priced menu item and they always piled it on. Last time I went they had changed the name on the menu of the tacos and raised the price. Now they are small and a small amount of food. read more
