The manager is a sorry piece of shit who very clearly hates her life and wants to project it onto the guests. Has not smiled once. She was extremely rude. This restaurant should be inspected by the health department. The food looks dried up and old. Wanted to order the beef tacos but the hard crust which the employee stirred up did not look to temperature or edible. I then tried to order the chicken quesadilla which wasn't much better, it appeared old and at the bottom of the container. Beans dried up and unappetizing. Not to mention the person making my quesadilla had no clue what was supposed to be included. At that point I cancelled my order. It was my FIRST EVER experience with this restaurant, after hearing RAVING reviews about their "Large and Fantastic " food... and sadly, it looks like it'll be my LAST experience as well. I ordered 2- $13.99 burritos, that ended up being smaller than Taco Bell's burritos and cold. I ordered 1 each of the 2-pc and 3-pc crunchy tacos meals, that ended up being cold, greasy, tasteless and mushy. They were literally falling apart before I could even pick them up. And I ordered a quesadilla, that was just cold and not very tasty. Oh, and a $3.98 side of queso... that came in a teeny plastic container, that most restaurants use for ketchup, mayo, and/or hot sauce... NOT a $4. side of queso. All in all, I WAAAY OVERPAID by $80.00+ for this horrible food... that I am so seriously disappointed in. I'd have gotten better food from Taco Bell, especially for the amount of money I paid out, for what I THOUGHT was going to be decent food. This business is poorly run. I visited this location while on vacation an hour before closing, after paying for our order and preparing the family to sit down and eat, the general manager informed us the lobby was closed. I asked to speak with the manager and was met with an individual that showed no customer focus, and no explanation for where the "policy" of closing the lobby an hour before closing time was communicated. I offered that they had opportunities i.e. signage and or communication to the customer upon entry or prior to placing our order. No explanation was provided, and no understanding of the customers point of view was genuinely expressed. Ironically, the token "welcome to moes" chant was made upon entry, but those appear to be words with no meaning to the GM or staff. To add insult to injury, this all happened after i had already left a tip, and upon arriving at the hotel, I found that they "forgot" to provide us with several items that i had paid for. Would not recommend...Had a salad bowl a few days ago and the entire experience was pitiful. The line was very short (2-3 people) but service took FOREVER! No grilled peppers or onions, fajita chicken had no flavor, rice and beans were bland. The cheese is the finely shredded kind and was so mild I couldn't taste it. Maybe my third time in 7-8 years going to a Moe's. I can probably describe my experience as "Lackluster". I know it's supposed to be friendly yelling "Welcome to Moe's" but it doesn't do anything for me. We got our food to go. Burritos with Carnitas and chips with queso dip. Oh wait I though of another word - "Bland". Everything inside the burritos including the carnitas were completely under seasoned (including barely any salt). Even my kids commented how much better Tijuana Flats is while eating their Moe's. Had too many bad Moes experiences, I was apprehensive to try this new location. So glad I did. Online ordering was easy, espically with the app, and it was ready when I got there, unlike another similar restaurant in the area. I got the Wrong Doug stack. Very generous portion and really good. They have great chips too, and I love the Kaiser salsa, partly because it's awesome, more so because its kaiser salsa(please watch the usual suspects if you haven't)! Service was good and restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back. Also it is very close to Legoland. read more

If I could give less stars I would. I frequent often but no more. The second time got terrible service sub par food. I have worked i. Food and beverage for 20 years and never seen such a joke. Got a girl serving food that should have hat or hairnets...just food safety. But besides the point. I gave them a second chance. Went back again and got a burrito... the chicken was so dried out, it was like eating Styrofoam. Decided to give them one more chance because I really like Moes and there aren't many southwest style eateries in Winter Haven. I immediately noticed that the steak was dried out. I asked the lady behind the counter if she could make new steak. She said it would take 3 minutes which was fine. I've waited to write this review until I visited a few more times awaiting a jump in service... This location brings a massive inconsistency to the brand at large. No greeting, ridiculously less in portion, and horrific customer service. My first experience was a 15 minute wait at the register because they left a first time employee by themselves at the register leaving me a cold and underwhelming portioned burrito. My second attempt was a online order to which I ordered a "home wrecker" only to get a tortilla with rice the wrong beans and chicken... nothing else. Today I went in and when I challenged the portion size they told me they could charge me more if I wanted extra.. my burrito had more tortilla than ingredients. If you can over wrap a tortilla you haven't made a burrito..
