Stopped in for dinner last night to order myself a Homewrecker burrito for dinner. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept which was a plus. There were two people working last night and they will working with efficiency to get other people's delivery orders done but stopped just enough to get my order through in a quick And Timely fashion. I selected the tofu protein which was very flavorful and didn't give the impression of tofu at all and they filled my burrito to the brim and didn't skip on the toppings to the point where I was extremely satisfied with the flavor and presentation. This Moe's location is a lot cleaner and more sanitary looking than the Shrewsbury one, but sadly there isn't a lot of quality control with the food. I find that compared to other Moe's restaurants, the meat here is blander and does not look appetizing at all. I will only ever get the chicken here because the steak looks gray and dull, same thing with the pork. More times than not, I also find the portions to be extra small compared to the price. read more

Yikes. As much as I love the idea of Moe's, whenever we come in the Webster Square location it's never consistent. Often times we come as a family and one of the meals is wrong, sloppy or just lacking in taste and quality. Sadly tonight was no different. We all placed our orders, my sons was made, my husbands was then made. The queso they put on it was a watery consistency of queso. I questioned it because everytime I come I end up paying for something that is not worth paying for. The girl who made the burrito was extremely disrespectful and laughed at me. She was a young girl, most likely under age 19. I said i was not going to pay for that, and she tried to put queso from another container onto it. The watery queso was already going to sog up the burrito, why would I want it more soggy. My husband kept telling me to drop it but I wouldn't, We come in far too many times hoping for quality food to end up throwing away our own money. I refused to let this time be like all the rest. I told the girl I would not be paying for it and there was no need to put it in the bag. She put it in the bag anyways. The whole time she was talking shit under her breath, staring at me and laughing. I blatantly told her there was nothing funny about this and she replied with "actually it is." I did not make a scene, I advocated for myself because if I didn't I would have paid for something I threw away. The girl stuck her tongue out at me like the child she was. I then told the girl who was making my sandwich that I was sorry for wasting her time but I was not going to pay for this kind of service. During the whole thing- no other employee ever tried to rectify the situation. The other employees stood there and watched as the teenage girl disrespected me over her poor work ethic. I really wonder who the manager is of this establishment. They hire really misguided youth and unprofessional adults. We will never be back. read more

I can't call Moe's Southwest Grill traditional Mexican, but that's not what it's trying to be. Moe's is Burrito-heaven (should be named Moe's Burritos Heaven). You're wasting your time if you're going there looking for anything other than a burrito the size of a football. PROS: Burritos are made with fresh ingredients, which I can only compare to Chipolte Grill. I actually prefer Moe's over Chipolte and Qdoba. The food is always fresh and made to order. You can customize your burrito with ingredients as it's prepared in front of you. The biggest perk is free chips with your meal and an unlimited salsa bar with a variety of selections. Moe's is a fun, yet laid back, atmosphere full of televisions usually showing live sports or ESPN. Also, free refills on drinks. CONS: Other reviewers have suggested Moe's is expensive. I think you get what you pay for. And in this case, the ingredients are fresh and you get free chips and unlimited salsa. Hard to call Moe's "expensive". My only complaint might be that the chicken burrito is probably 40 cents more than a veggie burrito. In fairness, I would think anyone NOT getting meat, should see AT LEAST a $1 reduction in price. SUMMARY: If you are really hungry and craving a giant burrito, Go to Moe's Southwest Grill. I have NEVER left Moe's hungry. A burrito and chips will satisfy even the largest of appetites. This saddens me to write this review. When Moe's first came in, my family loved it. But like many chains that expand quickly, the quality plummeted and the prices skyrocketed. In fact, the prices have gone up substantially three times in three years. I enjoy the food - my family of four enjoys the food, still. But when you go to a fast food chain and pay $45 for lunch, it's just not feasible to do often. For $45, a family of four could go to Chili's, Friday's, Red Robin, and a slew of other places that will serve you, and clean up after you, and be just as (if not more) friendly. This location, unfortunately, usually has staff that is on the unfriendly side. High-school-looking kids that just don't want to be working that day. Not rude....just indifferent. And make no mistake about it. Moe's is fast food. You order at a counter, take your food to the table, get your own plastic-wear and napkins and drink, and then clean up after yourselves when you are done. At an average of $12 a person (with a soft drink), Moe's is officially the most expensive fast food in New England. To be clear, we still like the food; but it's unfortunate that a fast food chain has become a 'treat' due to their very high prices. In an industry with many many choices, a place like this will eventually fall prey to the 'better deal'. read more

Besides the confusing menu with way too many options Moe's has the same problem that Subway has-- the ingredients are sitting out in containers for the whole day-- which causes them to wilt and to lose flavor. I've been here three times because I hear so many great things about it, but seriously if you're digging this stuff it must be because the line at Taco Bell is too long to stand in -- because that's the only place that is worse than this. Having never tried mexican food before, my visit to Moes was both an introduction to the culture, as well as to the restaurant. Walking in, I was greeted with perhaps the most unenthusiastic "Welcome to Moes" that you could possibly imagine. Menu was a bit confusing, as I didn't really know what was what, and nothing was explained in any great detail. Prices were a little higher then expected, but not out of ordinary. Had a hard time finding a clean table, as most were kind of sticky / dirty, with the ceiling even leaking in one or two spots. I ordered a burrito with nothing fancy on it (rice, salsa, meat). Food was tasty, but the kind of tasty that you know you're going to regret in a few hours. Didn't look at the nutrient facts, but from the taste and feel, even their "health food" isn't terribly healthy. Less then spectacular staff, average food, and iffy accommodations makes this place an acceptable choice if you've truly exhausted all other dinning options in the area, or just really have a hankering for a burrito. read more

Unless you're unlike the majority of Americans which have succumbed to the sweeping burrito craze, then you'll likely appreciate this location. The burritos are busting with pinto beany goodness, so large that one must essentially bury one's face in the filling for any chance of avoiding an overflow. Moe's is a decent choice, but it has a lot of competition in the area. Upon entering the Grill, each and every person is greeted with "Welcome to Moe's!" by the staff working the line and wrapping up tortillas. Our helpful Moe-bots worked at marvelous speed, scooping and wrapping and sizzling and packing our order. Bim bam boom - and you're outta there! By the time we got to the car and back on the road, our items were already cold (odd considering the grilled nature of the Pork Stack which was sitting on the grill for at least three minutes). Prices are average (a Homewrecker *beans/rice/sour cream/gauc+filling* is about $8), and filling options INCLUDE TOFU! The wrap weighs in around 850calories and lacks the typical spicy characteristic of these tucked morsels. The amount of moisture in the burrito is surprising (I practically had to crouch over a bag to contain the spill-over), so I CERTAINLY wouldn't recommend this as a cutesy date option. The corn chips served with the wrap were crisp but relatively flavorless (I much prefer the limey zest from Chipotle), and refreshments include slurpies and pick-your-flavor sodas (not a Nutella smoothie in sight, unlike Boloco). It works, but I certainly prefer a little more spice and zest when succumbing to the temptation of the tortilla. read more

Terrible customer service . I love Moe's but NOT this one . Was not welcoming at all. We stood there for what felt like forever before they even asked for our order. I ordered my food before my boyfriend so I was at the register when I heard the ladies behind the counter talking in Spanish negatively about my boyfriend. I'm darker complexion so they probably didn't think I knew what they were saying but I heard some of their whispers. When The employees saw me staring they stopped. Then they didn't give us our queso and extra guac for our chips so I asked - and the lady jumped to tell her we didn't order it even though I said yes when asked. Very sad. This Moe's used to be decent. But three of the last three times we have been there there has been something wrong with their soda machine. Usually the response is that the person who "knows how to replace the X (something for drink machine) is not hear, just left and today they said they would be in tomorrow. Perhaps we should come in tomorrow? The offered to give refunds, which was nice. The problem was I had already gotten water and the kids got non-carbonated drinks. So in order to get the refunds we would all need to dump out the water etc and present the cups back to the front. I suppose they take recycling seriously. I said forget it we just won't come back. But my hubby asked to see the manager and they decided they would let it go. Eventually the manager came over. I told her the other person took care of it. She repeated what the cashier said and stood their. I told her that it was poor form to allow customers to buy drinks without warning them. We saw four families struggle with he. She just stared and had no response except to nod. It was very strange. read more

Today's visit is my last to this location. For context: it is Cinco De Mayo, and the location is offering $5 burritos, and a free shirt to the first 50 or so customers. We went anticipating a wait - it was lunchtime, after all. There were 4 employees on the front line, and about 15-20 customers in line. Ordering was about as expected with how busy it was - frequent checks from staff of "You ordered X with Y?" were appreciated. I got through the line, and was told I could get a t-shirt only by upgrading to a meal. Well, none of the signage said that, but since I wanted a drink and a side of queso, I said okay. We were overcharged - they charged us for drinks and for sides individually instead of upgrading to the meal. When we went to the manager (who also claimed to be the franchisee, name was Ryan maybe?) To dispute the overcharge, he said he wasn't going to do anything unless we returned the shirts. Well, you can bet they got returned. And this doesn't even touch being charged for items never received. By the time we were ready to leave, there were probably more than 25 people waiting in line. I'm not going to continue spending money at a restaurant that's not living up to plainly stated promotions, or interacts with customers the way we were spoken to. It start's with a hearty, "Welcome to Moe's" where the food's always fresh made to order. The staff is usually super friendly and things move quickly. Hey, do you have kids? This place is very kid-friendly!! Both my girls have grown up eating Moe's here, in Shrewsbury, MA and even in Arkansas. Recently we had a party at home and decided to try their catering. Two-thumbs up, it was better than we expected it to be, and we expected it to be awesome. I could say more but suggest you try it for yourself. The food was pretty good for the price and tasted good considering it being a subway-esque burrito joint. I particularly enjoyed the salsa available for in-house eating. However, I think they could expand on those salsas and make it into something bigger. It's really easy for the price to fly up when you're ordering though. Expect that $8 order to turn into $14-$15. As you would find, the service is pretty lackluster. The little service you get at a fast food place is quite unpleasant. When I went it was 4 teenage girls who showed attitude and impatience. It was my first time at Moe's and it may be my last due to how rude these girls were and how little patience employees had for servicing a new customer. read more

Queso dip is great. Chicken can be good or have weird texture/grisly. Expensive for what it is and overall kind of bland and boring. The salsa bar would be great if the salsas were any good. For the price I paid (13 dollars), I feel like I would have been much better off sticking with Chipotle or Qdoba. I got three tacos and water, what the hell happened there. You'd think you can't really get that wrong, but Moe's managed to pull it off. The chicken on my taco was cold, the peppers were barely cooked, and the corn salsa was literally tomatoes and corn with no blending of the flavors in spices. Disappointed to no end. read more
