Good prices for basic tacos ($3) They offer chips for $3 "Do you have salsa?" - no "Do you have guacamole?" - no Girl taking our order just wanted to go home.

This place has its own restaurant and its own location in Worcester Public Market and I've tried both locations to say that the restaurant location is so much better than in the Market. The restaurant is super spacious and beautifully decorated inside and out. They are super welcoming and you feel like you're at home when you step inside. Carne Asada Plate - 8/10 Great portion size on the plate! I love all the different elements of the dish and especially the tortilla on the side is so fresh and warm. The carne asada itself was a little dry but great flavor. I enjoyed the grilled pepper as well. Birria Tacos - 8/10 It comes with 3 birria tacos and I believe you have to order the consome seperately. It is the same in both locations, they don't give you the consome. The taco itself is stuffed! Lots of meet and super flavorfuly. But again a bit dry. Carne Asada Tacos - 9/10 I think this is the best dish so far, the meat was so tender and flavorful. It is a simple taco but it tastes so good. Overall, great food and great ambiance in its original restaurant location. I love the vibes here, it is never too busy or crowded. Super great place to have fun with friends and family.

A few choices at the market but Taqueria was calling my name. I went with the Birria quesadilla. SMOTHERED in sour cream!! Talking my language. The meat was tender and delicious. Winning bites were dipping the quesadilla in their pico. I would suggest giving this a shot.

We went to the location on Highland street (rather than the location in Worcester Public Market). The best Mexican place! I love how affordable everything is, and the portions are big too I ordered a birria torta and could only finish half of it! The cheese was melted and the beef was tender and juicy. My boyfriend got the birria tostados and he rated them a 4/5. The chips and salsa are sooo good, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture before we dug in! The salsa is mildly spicy yet flavorful. I prefer my chips to be thinner (these chips are rather thick) but they're still good. Finally, the horchata is perfectly sweet and refreshing. A must try if you come here. Service was quick, but that could be attributed to the fact that we were the only ones dining in. The Mexican decorations are beautiful and perfect for taking pictures. Overall, Probably one of the best Mexican places in Worcester! Highly recommend!

    5. Birria Taco is GOOOD. Worth the hype in the city for sure.

Located in the Worcester Market this place is worth the hype--even with the simplest menu. Parking seems to be better now since he honeymoon for the marketplace is over. They use to have a broader menu including tacos and such when they first opened in the marketplace but I guess they didn't do too well with them so they have removed it from their menu at this location. Birria, birria, birria. Birria quesadilla. Birria tacos. Birria tortas. Birria ramen. Yes... they got birria ramen. And Hot sauces... thats majority of the menu. Hot take right here but they got the best birria around. Also, gotta get the consome with the birria. Dealing with the parking here can be a headache but it seems to be better now and it's worth getting the birria goodness here. Cheerssssss

Food was amazing, I have been twice and it's so good. I will come back to Worcester just for this place. Burria tacos with the dip, Tortas and the Mojitas are all so good! Plus the artwork and neon signs are all great.

I always get the Burris tacos with A la Diabla. Use very little of that side! A little good a really long way and it's hot!!

Amazing tacos! I don't usually like tacos but this place has a great sauce for it. I got two tacos and birria consome which is a dip for the tacos. You can also eat it like soup!

Highland St. Location. The tacos are so good! I got a carne asada, a chicken, and al pastor. I gotta say the chicken was kinda dry, but that's almost to be expected from chicken. The al pastor was out of this world. What I also need to say is that their salsa verde was honestly the best I've had in town. Super good. Service was average - but it seemed our server was new. I saw another server teaching her how to use the card machine and she apologized for taking so long for payment. It was all good.

Best first birria tacos experience! I'm OBSESSED and I've been twice in the past 4 days. They're soo good, definitely a must if you're in the area! 10/10 recommend

    Adamma B.

First time trying this place and I loved it! We came close to closing so they had run out of one of the meats but that is to be expected and just meant I got to try a meat I wouldn't normally try! The service was great and she was very attentive! We got take out so experiences might be different if you eat in! Birria Tacos: The taco meat was very flavorful and the tacos themselves were really good. I would honestly come back for just the tacos but they weren't crispy at all the shell was honestly very soggy. Al Pastor Burrito: The flavor was good in the meat but it was a pretty average burrito. I think it was pretty big and worth the price but there wasn't anything special about it. Birria Dipping broth: It was thinner then I expected and didn't really have that much of a taste. When I dipped my tacos into it I didn't really notice any extra flavor. Birria Ramen: Honestly we got this not really knowing what to expect but we had such high expectations! We were kind of shocked seeing it was just a cup ramen which I assume is made with Birria broth instead of water. It did taste okay and there was an insane amount of meat inside but I don't think it was worth $13 and I wouldn't buy it again, probably only good for the novelty of trying a Birria ramen. (The meat was very good and flavorful but the ramen tasted mostly of tomato) Overall I would go back for the tacos and to try the other items on the menu.

    Birria consomme

Went to the Worcester Public Market location and got two birria tacos ($7) and the consomme ($2). The tacos were very flavorful and crispy but definitely needed the consomme since they were a little dry. I'm giving 4 stars because I think the consomme didn't have a lot of flavor and I think it should come with the tacos as a set. I was a little annoyed having to pay extra just for a little cup of it. Overall, if I was at the Worcester Public Market I wouldn't get it again since there's so many other great and unique restaurants there.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the churros with chocolate, they were excellent and easily the star of the meal. My enchiladas were also very good. However, I felt that both the rice and the pico de gallo lacked flavor. The rice could have used a bit more seasoning, and the pico de gallo would have benefited from some salt and lime. One thing that took away from the experience was the music. If you understand Spanish, some of the reggaeton songs being played contained language that was not very pleasant to hear while dining. Given the restaurant's theme, I think more traditional Mexican music would create a more enjoyable atmosphere. We visited before attending a concert, and while the service was great and the churros were outstanding, the food and atmosphere left room for improvement. Update: Adding because I forgot before that the chicken fingers were terrible and this was confirmed by the 2 chicken fingers eaters 7 and 9 year old and mom.

She remembered everyone's orders (without writing anything down) except my daughter's (ordered a cheese quesadilla & got grilled cheese). I didn't say anything because it was a 50/50 of her eating it anyway. We got the baby chimichangas for an app & they were pretty good! My husband enjoyed his enchilada meal and I loved my crispy chicken salad. The avocado on my salad was fresh & abundant & the fresh bacon was a nice addition, too. The portions were large and I left full. There were 7 of us eating and it seems they brought food out as it was made which meant no one's meal got cold. We would rather be served that way anyway. The only complaint was at the end of the meal, we declined dessert & asked for the check but the waitress disappeared. We didn't get the check for a long time, which would have been fine if the table was only adults. But we had two kids who were turning into pumpkins. Overall, I'd definitely go back and maybe try an alcoholic drink.

They also have happy hour specials (4pm to7pm) and Taco Tuesday ($20 AYCE in a 60 minute time frame). The place has a modern dining atmosphere with tables & booth seating and seating up at tte full service bar with flatscreen TV. The background music is very loud. I stopped by Mexitown for a late evening dinner, just after 9pm when on-street parking becomes free. The place wasn't too busy on a Thursday night and I was able to seat myself at an open table. There are QR codes at each table to scan for menu. The server brought out a glass of ice water and I placed my order for the Tacos (Chicken) Al Pastor ($20 plus tax) with rice & beans, which was served in 10 minutes. The 3 soft shell corn tortillas were filled with tender grilled marinated strips of pastor chicken & diced pinapple, pico de gallo & sour cream on the side. The Mexican rice was very soft with traces of peas and green beans. The beans had a salty flavor. After I was done, I requested the check which was $21.40 with tax and before tip. Overall, the tacos were pretty good tasting, but also having lettuce & cheese on the tacos would've been great. If I was hungry, I would've ordered the churros rellenos for dessert. I ordered the steak and chicken combo, and I'm pretty sure they didn't bring it out on a plate--they brought it out on a tectonic plate. The sizzle was so loud I had to use hand signals to communicate with my date for the first three minutes. I felt like a celebrity entering a press conference, except instead of camera flashes, I was being blinded by delicious, onion-scented steam. The fajitas are phenomenal. The meat was so tender I'm convinced the chef sings it lullabies before it hits the grill. The Margarita Situation Then, let's talk about the Margaritas. I don't know what kind of structural engineering goes into these things, but they absolutely rock. Size: Somewhere between "Large" and "Fishbowl." Potency: One sip and I forgot my middle name; two sips and I was ready to audition for a Mariachi band. Taste: Perfectly balanced. Not that neon-green syrup you find at the grocery store, but the real deal. The Verdict By the time I finished, I was 40% salsa and 60% fajita by body weight. If you see someone rolling down Lincoln Street like a human burrito later tonight, mind your business--that's just me living my best life. Pro Tip: Wear your "eating pants" (the ones with the elastic waistband).
