1/5 I'm very disappointed with my experience with Moga Mandi, especially when it comes to customer service. I called the store, and instead of receiving any kind of greeting like "Hello" or "How can I help you?", the lady answered the phone and literally said: "Yes, speak." In punjabi she said bolo That immediately came across as rude and unwelcoming. Customer service matters. Whether someone is calling or walking into your business, the way you speak to customers leaves a lasting impression. I've also found the store to be cluttered and not as clean or organized as I would expect, especially considering how expensive many of their items are. In my experience, their prices are also very high compared with other Indian stores I've visited in the 559 area. I genuinely don't understand the 4.4-star rating based on my own experiences here. For me, good customer service, cleanliness, organization, and respectful communication are just as important as the products being sold. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Moga Mandi based on my experience. If good customer service and a clean, welcoming environment are important to you, I would suggest looking at other options in the area. read more

This is a grocery store with a restaurant in the back. Their food is really good! My husband and I live close by and enjoy trying new dishes we normally don't order. The price is good, and you get a lot of food compared to other places that charge more. The staff are very nice and will help you with the menu. You can also shop around while they make your food! We always get a bunch of snacks and spices that aren't in regular grocery stores. I'd recommend this place 1000%. We haven't gotten anything on their menu that we didn't like. read more

I love this place. It's even better now that I understand they're under new ownership. I love Indian cuisine. They are very humble here with authentic food and prices that accommodate the community. They are very prompt. I either call or use UberEats for pick up. I recommend the Samosas (delicious), Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, Veggie Pakora, Chicken Biryani and all of the Naan breads. I saw Seekh Chicken on another restaurant's menu and it looked delicious. Expensive though. To my surprise, Moga Mandi has it too! I recently tried it and it was so DELICIOUS. I must warn that with authenticity, the spice will be there. The Chicken Biryani was spicy but the flavors were delicious. It may be smart to order a side of yogurt or Raita to cut the spice. Don't forget to try the desserts! It's hard to find Gajr Ka Halwa, but they have it! Of course, you cannot skip the Gulab Jamun. Again, there are really good Indian Restaurants in Fresno, but what keeps me coming back is the fact that they're not overcharging their customers for things like plain white basmati to accompany your main dish. Hi - my handsome husband and I had only 1 night in Fresno and chose to go to Moga Mandi tonight (6/17) and we're SO glad we did! It is both a market and a place to order REAL Indian food and they have all the ingredients onsite to make super tasty dishes. We bought packaged snacks (for later) and ordered 2 hot dishes and garlic naan to eat at our Airbnb. Yum!! Very kind and genuine folks onsite too - I wish we lived in Fresno! This place has it all. A grocery store/deli/bakery/juice bar and they will be expanding adding a dining area. They have an extensive menu of meat and vegetarian Indian food! Great for ordering ahead skip cooking for the night. Just excellent aromas all around! If you feel like cooking, this place also offers several Indian and middle eastern spices and products to get adventurous with your own recipes! They have all kinds of unique produce and an amazing juice bar of fresh juices. Can't believe I didn't try this place sooner. They are expanding so expect some changes soon. read more

Reasonably priced samosas and generous portions make this a new go-to. I have yet to refine my palate for this particular cuisine because I've only been to a limited number of places Indian places However, I know what I like and Moga Mandi hits the spot. I decided to go in while making a stop by the barbershop Moga Mandi is housed next to. The grocery store is clean, but it looked like they recently completed an expansion. I wasn't sure where to order, but luckily someone saw how confused I was and helped me out. I ordered three vegetarian somosas, butter chicken, and rice. I couldn't believe how much the somasas were when she told me the price. It felt like three for the price of one. They were delicious, with and without the tamarind chutney. I love the tamarind chutney, and they provide the perfect amount for three samosas. I ate the butter chicken and rice for lunch and dinner. The portion was large enough to fill me up both times. The rice was fluffy. The butter chicken was creamy and the pieces of chicken were tender. I look forward to grabbing more samosas soon and possibly trying more dishes. With its convenient location just off the highway, I plan on making more stops. read more

Picking different foods to mix it up from the usual . Paid for it there and it instantly notifies me when it will be ready. Go get! Arrived to pick up and greeted by multiple workers. Order was almost ready. I was early. It's in an Indian grocery store and they also have a bakery. Refried order shortly later with well wishes and a smile!! =) Lunchtime!! Everything split!! Samosa was Ready DELICIOUS!! Lots of flavor!! Even better with their side sauces! Samosa chaat was Fantastic! Delicious & Great! Amritsari Kulcha was Great too!! I'm not experienced in Indian Cusine but I am a foodie in a lot of other Asian Cuisines. Just happened to stop by to see this store and what they had. They had a restaurant in the back of the store so I thought I should try some samosas, chicken, onion, cheese, and garlic naan breads. Then we had to try the butter chicken. Though I have naan breads before these were freshly made and full of flavors. The samosas were full of flavor and the size of a baseball. The butter chicken was so tasty. Though I am no expert with this type of food, my family and I really enjoyed the experience and will be back to try other things on the menu. We feel that the chefs in the back, really put in extra effort to make the food special for us. I will be recommending this foods to others who don't know about Indian food. read more

Came here for dinner on a Sunday. There are 4 tables in the back of the market for dine in. The server didn't speak English well, but there were other staff who helped. We ordered aloo, korma and tikka masala with rice with peas and garlic naan. All the food was very good with nice flavors. Mango lassis were also good. Ambiance was not great, but it looks like they're expanding, so it would be great if the restaurant part was expanded. Horrible ordered from Uber for 2 entrees from this place and the kitchen only packed me one item. I immediately called Uber to clarify but the drive said the restaurant only gave her that item. I then called the restaurant and instead of refunding me my money like I've asked, the lady on the phone begged me repeatedly to pick up my missing item. She refused to have Uber deliver it to me lying they can't do that. I was late for work and had to drive across town just to get my missing item from this place. Well portioned fair priced and you might bump into the farmer who actually grew it all. Support them and buy their myriad of seasonal vegetables and fruit. We wanted to try another Middle Eastern restaurant. We chose Moga mandi. We ordered through Door Dash. The food was outstanding. We loved it. I felt like it was a home cooked East Indian meal. We ordered the Non-veg Thali. It came with balsamic rice, two different sauces, dal. We chose the Chicken Tikka and the Shahi Paneer dish. Both were excellent. To accompany our meal we ordered garlic naan. Everything was great! I appreciated that the food was not as spicy hot at other similar restaurants. You were able to taste the rich sauces and spices used in each selection. This generous meal was $12.99. A great price. We want to order again soon. This is a real gem of a restaurant. You ordered a counter you sit down and wait, the food comes out and you pay for it at the front. But the food was really good. Moga Mandi is probably the best Indian food in Fresno. They have plenty of options including vegetarian and meat clearly identified. Their food is served piping hot and fresh. Clearly it is made with a labor of love. I door dashed samosas, which were freshly made and super crispy despite being delivered and they came with two delicious sauces. I ordered the non-veg thali with butter chicken and malai kofta. It came with a side of dal makhani which was a pleasant surprise and just as delicious as the rest.
