Whent with 2 proteins because its so hard to pick. The crispy pork belly was so amazing! Just the right amount of fat and crisp and cooked to perfection. The soy sauce chicken had a very aromatic seasoning light but flavorful. Even the green stuff was great! It came with 2 sauces not needed but good for a little twist to the flavor, one I think was eel sauce (no eel included and the other one tasted mostly like green onions. There was a hefty portion of delicious fried rice (5$ upcharge )under the protein. The rice had a peanut flavor to it, it was light and aromatic, very delicious. Worth the upcharge?... I'll let you decide. Service was fast and friendly place was packed and things moving fast but the staf was personable and attentive and even popped a joke in our short interaction. Like all the other places in Mills Market, Kai Kai has earned a spot in Orlando's food scene. Now the tough part is deciding what to eat next time because it all looks and is soooo good!

Was so excited to finally make it over to Mills Market! I'd recommend maybe coming on the early side for better seating! Kai Kai was our main focus for this visit, so we tried a little of everything! Dumpling and soup dumplings were good, but the soup dumplings had great flavor and really stood out! Fried rice was a great staple, and the ribs were well liked by the group. My favorite was the beef chow fun - the flavor was awesome on the beef and noodles! My only note is that for the price point, I'd love to have seen a bit more beef in the entree, but I'd still return just for this dish!

EWWWW! They don't change their gloves after touching many things in the kitchen, including the cash…read moreregister. Then they literally grab the meat from the catering dishes with those same gloves. They didn't use tongs. They used DIRTY GLOVES GRABBING HANDFULS OF MEAT and put it right on the buns for the sandwiches. I saw this as I sat outside and observed this terrible behavior through the window. Gloves are the enemy of the food industry if not used properly. Untrained workers using gloves have no sense of "my hands are dirty" since they're wearing gloves. They routinely touch the counter, door handles, utensils, etc. which are usually touched by many others. Hopefully the owners who put their hard earned dollars into opening a restaurant for the community take the time to train their staff properly. Until then, this restaurant is DISGUSTING!!!! I would skip this place for now.

I studied the menus at the new Avalon Park Marketplace and I was drawn to BBQ50's "Bat out of Hell"…read moresandwich. A BBQ brisket sandwich with pulled pork, beer cheese and a chopped up St. Louis rib is right up my alley. It was ok and for $16, I doubt I would go out of my way to go back. My issue is they are still acting like a mobile catering company. The brisket and pork were pre-cut and kept warm in chaffing dishes which definitely watered down the smoky taste. They did not have beer cheese either, but I did visit during their soft opening, and Bowigens did not have their liquor license yet. On the flipside, all of their sauces were fantastic and did elevate the taste, but not to the level of some of the area best BBQ joints. Again, soft opening so understandable, but delays were caused by how they implemented their ticketing system. I would say this is a good family spot for a quick meal if you are in the Avalon Park area, and their are several other vendors at the Marketplace. Self seating areas indoors and outside are kept very clean by staff. https://marketplaceatavalonpark.com/ Taste *** Quality/Freshness *** Presentation/Uniqueness **** Service *** Atmosphere **** Bar Cleanliness **** Price $$$$

I'm not a pastrami person. I'm also not a "sit outside and eat hot meat while you sweat from your…read moreears" person. But man, I will do some unpleasant things to get another one of these pastrami sandwiches! My hubby dragged me here (slightly kicking) on the middle of the day in the middle of July when the air was thick, the sun was high, and tolerance was flirting with fire. The wait for the sandwiches and egg rolls, while we were the only ones in line, was a bit longer than expected. He's absolutely a one man show but what he makes, he makes VERY well. My desire for hot meat was about as limited as one can imagine, but when that sandwich came out, I happily relished in the thick cut rye bread, the tangy mustard, and the juicy pastrami dripping down my arm. What's more, the pastrami is fantastic but that coleslaw is the stuff of my dreams. I don't live close to downtown and I'm never there on weekdays, but I really hope to make that venture the next opportunity I get. Highly recommend.

Both were delicious but I preferred the brisket. The donkey sauce in the brisket tacos was a perfect combination. The guy in the truck was fun to interact with and he certainly is dedicated. There is 1 table and we were happy to have a place to eat but this is no ambiance. It may be best to plan your visit and have a comfortable place to eat. Overall I was happy to visit and I highly recommend you give this food truck a try.

The thing about a Chinese restaurant is if the taste is consistent as to when you first ate there…read morebefore - your customers will keep coming back. Ordered Jumbo Shrimp Pan Fried Noodle here $16.95 takeout. While waiting for the food. I was asking the gal behind the cash register if they have been busy lately with the Chinese BBQ and she stated this past weekend they were really busy. I then told her it's because Kai Kai owners left Kai Kai and sold it maybe to another owner but they no longer run Kai Kai. So as the conversation passes she told me - The Crispy pork they cook there is NOT ROASTED but FRIED. It was brought up because i was telling her a few people have said kai kai fell off as far as taste in the bbq / meats. So then I said yes the skin part is not crispy like how you guys do it. So she mentioned she wondered why they have been busy with Chinese BBQ meats as of lately. I ordered the $4.95 boba smoothie (mango) as a refresher because it is hot outside - For the price it is not bad I think they use mango puree as the base. The dishes here are delicious. This is why I keep coming back.

Each time I order it, they tell me that shrimp dumplings are extra. They are very much worth it, by the way! The noodles in this soup are egg noodles. The tender bite draws you back. The chinese spinach is nourishing and offers iron to give you strength. The crispy pork is amazing. But it is really crunchy. At this restaurant they sell it by the pound, right along side the hanging duck which is by the pound as well. They sell so many dishes that are well-loved, but I tend to get the soup. It's so nourishing and flavorful. Top tip for parking...you can park in the back, but there are many restaurants on the same aisle so you sometimes have to wait for people to leave.
