brought in my two dogs for a scheduled procedures that included a cleaning and any extractions if needed. I was charged for these services and was under the impression they had been performed. I did call and also made a follow up appointment for one of the dogs with concerns I had, I was basically dismissed at the follow up appointment and my phone calls were ignored.. I had no other choice but to bring my one dog to a different veterinary for a follow up care. I was informed that the previous vet did not preform what was said on my discharge paperwork. Being charged for services that did not occur is unacceptable , especially when it involves anesthesia and invasive care. They had my dogs for over 7 hours claiming they had emergency's that came in. Not knowing what happened with my dogs is very concerning to me. read more

Dr Thomas is the best vet ever! She's not only good with animals but has great people skills. Her rates aren't as inflated as most in the Mohawk Valley. Getting one's pet in soon is almost always possible. read more

We are traveling from Phoenix all summer. We are visiting family in Mohawk. Our 12 year old chihuahua developed a sore on her belly. After making many calls to local and out of the area veterinary offices, we scored and got an appointment with Dr.Cassandra Thomas. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Dr Thomas was welcoming, professional and very caring for our dear Sweetie. Making all the calls was discouraging finding out most offices are not taking new patients. Dr. Thomas understands this problem and welcomed us. We are so happy she did. If in the area, we definitely will be back. read more

I have taken all my pets there for years. I haven't had any problems with the services until last week. I brought 2 cats and 2 dogs there for routine booster shots. When I got home one of my cats was foaming at the mouth. I called the vet back and was told this is common especially when the cat is highly stressed and blind. I was told to give it about a half hour and he should return to normal. Less than 20 minutes later my cat dead. When I called to inform the office when they opened back up on Friday the receptionist was apologetic and caring and said she would give the doctor my number. I have yet to hear back from the doctor. Nothing will bring back my cat however a simple acknowledgment from the vet would be appreciative. The hours of the office are not convenient either. read more

this place can eat dogshit honestly! brought my cat in a week ago bc she hasn't been eating nor going to the bathroom, they kept her for two nights without updating me through any of it, chalked it up to a liver infection, gave me some meds and charged me $600. a week later and she's still sick, so i make another appointment two days out. they canceled on me less than two hours prior to my appointment, saying there was nothing else they could diagnostically do for her. hello??? how are y'all are gonna charge me 600 bones to do NOTHING for my cat and then tell me to go screw off when i tell you she's still sick and i need to bring her in again? like i said, EAT SHIT !!! read more

As good as it gets is not good enough! I've been seeing this vet for approx. 3 years and I'm sorry I never thought to write a review before today. Dr. Cassandra Carvin is such a great vet, I hate to recommend the office, because then she'll be too busy to see me! (Selfish, I know). I saw her today because my very elderly dog had a bladder infection. I pretty much only see her when I have something immediate that needs addressed, because I thankfully have very healthy animals. The first time I ever saw her was 2 or 3 years ago. When I came home after work that day, my dog could not even stand, though he'd been healthy and fine when I left in the morning. I had a different vet at that time and I called for an emergency appointment for my dog and they said they wouldn't see him because they were already booked up for the day and couldn't see him for several more days. Instead of trying to have him seen at an office that didn't have time for him, I loaded my 80 lb dog into my truck and drove him to the next nearest vet (w/o calling) because I wasn't going to give someone else a chance to say "no, we cannot see him". I figured, if I show up, they'll see me. They did! They stretchered him in the office, did several tests to determine the problem, did an MRI (which they can do in office) and diagnosed him w/ a herniated disc in his neck. How he did it, I don't know, but they treated him immediately when his own doctor's office wouldn't see him on an emergency basis. I've been going to her ever since. And even though I didn't have a lot of money and I was very worried about cost, her bill was literally HALF what I thought it would cost. I know cost is not the most important thing in the world, but it is a consideration if you are short of money. Every time I go in the office, I am so shocked at how reasonable her charges are. She often charges little or nothing for "rechecks" after you've seen her for an initial problem. She'll literally walk out into the waiting room to check over the dog or cat. W/ my dog, when he came back for his recheck 6 weeks after the herniated disc, she came out, moved his head and neck around, pressed on several points to see if he was experiencing any pain, pronounced him fine and didn't charge me for a "recheck" fee. She only spent a couple minutes w/ him, but that's all she needed to make sure he was not in pain and not experiencing any issues. Now, yelpers, don't block me from getting in quickly! I guess I should start sending out positive reviews for great service. read more
