I called to get set up with them and they made an appointment, a difficult thing since they don't answer their phones, contingent on getting my dog's records. They asked me to email them which I did. I showed up for the apt and was told they never got my records so my dog couldn't be seen and they couldn't even find where an apt was ever made. I then drove a half hour each way to hand deliver them. I called in a few days to make an apt and was told they had lost his records. I drove in a second time with them. When I called in a couple days to make an apt I was told they are not accepting new clients. I can't comment on their care but I do feel I was given a hard time for nothing. Why didn't they tell me they are not accepting new clients the first time I called them? Of course, it took a few days of calling to get an answer and I was told they turn off their phones when it gets busy. I wasted my time delivering records for nothing. They never saw my pets but I knew this was not a good fit even if they had accepted me as a client. read more

Our 10 year old cat has issues processing regular food and needs fiber. They told us she had megacolon and needed a variety of expensive drugs. Turns out they were WRONG and doing more harm than good. She simply needs more fiber in her diet... period. After setting up an autoship with Chewy to get her fiber food years ago, and years of a happy kitty, she was suddenly denied by the clinic during shipping with Chewy... They told us she needs to be seen. . . for FIBER. Not meds, fiber! So basically a month before Christmas, while most people are extremely short on cash, they want to hold my cats fiber food hostage until i put her through the stress of a car ride, and pay an extra visit fee on top of the ALREADY expensive food she needs... stress makes constipation issues WORSE in cats btw. We have 5 cats, 3 were rescued and we reared them up ourselves on a very tight budget. We DO NOT have time or money to play around with a vet for our special needs kitty. We're removing our cats from their clinic and going elsewhere. In the meantime we're finding other means of introducing fiber to her food such as pumpkin. read more

CNY Vets are okay. I like and trust Dr. Evan, otherwise the service is just mediocre, and not that friendly. Today, I got a text with an estimate for my cats' teeth cleaning, scheduled for Friday. I also got a phone call to make sure I had seen the estimate as I needed to sign it and send it back. The estimate was for $719.00 - $1342.00. I take my cats for routine yearly visits so this should be a standard cleaning, unlike if they had never been to the vets. When I booked the appt., I asked at the front desk, what the teeth cleaning might run, and was told usually $300 to $600 which I thought was reasonable. However, $719 to $1342 is excessive and out of my comfort zone. I am very disappointed. I will now have to find another vet, one I can afford To help me keep my cats healthy. I have taken my dogs there a few times, the first visit they gave my dogs extra shots without asking me! Didn't even know they were getting additional shots until I was cashing out and had extra charges! Another time I called and canceled my appointment on the machine after hours then received a bill for a "no show." When I called to inform them of my cancellation they said they had no proof! This business is corrupt and all about making money instead of keeping there customers happy! Owell, they just lost 3 little money makers! But at least they got there $28.00 no show fee. Worse staff ever. Wait on you at their convenience even if there is no one else waiting, inflate situations for apparent management sympathy and quite a few are just plain clueless as to how to deal with people. Dr. Evan and Dr. Heather are good people and great vets but are at the mercy of unprofessional, immature and childish employees. I have been an impatient client at times but not without reason. If you work a front desk for a business you should be somewhat informed of who, what, why and where, not like a deer caught in headlights when asked a question. Have had a good solid relationship with the practice for over 10 years and have spent thousands. Apparently customer loyalty and prompt payment take a back seat to cry babies that would not know or understand good customer service if it was spoon fed to them. They have taken excellent care of my dogs. My Great Dane isn't so great around other animals. They made arrangements for us to enter through the side and gave us our own room. We only waited about 15 minutes. Our bill was considerably less than I was expecting. Overall a great experience. read more

Brought my cat in for vomiting 6 weeks ago, Told me the cat was constipated gave it a shot of antibiotics asked what WAS WRONG with the cat had did not have a clue .Brought cat back still constipated and throwing up. Gave the cat and a cleaning out and sent it home. Called the next day told them cat had diarrhea with blood .When I questioned what was going on told me not to come back charge me another $200. This is a terrible clinic and I would strongly recommend not taking any animals there ever. After my dog died suddenly while in their care I arranged to have her cremated. They told me she would be picked up the next day and return three days later. Three days later I was told the truck for the crematory broke down and she wasn't picked up. They told me she would be going out that day. When I called back on the next drop off day I was again told she was not picked up by the crematory company due to truck problems. When I questioned it they said they had no pick ups that week due to truck issues with the company. I contacted the company and was told that they did indeed pick up both days and had no truck problems. They told me they were told the dog would not be released because we had not paid for it. I had paid the entire bill the day she died with a credit card. They lied to us and the crematory company and kept my dog for eight days before they released her. They also gave the same dog a vaccine the prior month that expired over a year ago. When I questioned them about this they said that it was just a clerical error and the vaccine was not expired. I contacted the vaccine company and they did verify the vaccine was expired for over a year. They are obviously dishonest and I will never trust them with any animal ever again. read more

We first brought our cat to CNY as our normal vet we were using at the time was not able to give us an appointment. We had taken our cat to our vet several times and they kept telling us he had Bronchitis. Our cat was getting worse and we called CNY they had us bring our cat in immediately. The Vets examined our cat and within seconds the vet told us it was not Bronchitis but a tumor in his throat. We transferred out pets over to CNY and they have been amazing. They care for the pets and show it. Our dog has been given amazing treatment, and when we had to have our two cats put down due to health issues they were so caring and understanding . Everyone is so friendly, helpful and caring from the receptionists to the technicians to the vets. Highly recommended. Rita read more

Brought my dog in for ear check up. Alyssa Cornelius, DVM entered the room and started asking questions then took cultures of my dogs ears. She came back in the room to let me know what was found then proceeded to tell me all the vaccinations I should be getting. Told her I was only there that day for her ears. After clearly stating this to her she proceeded to tell me that she needed to EDUCATE me on what I should be doing. I again at that point was taken back and annoyed with her as she said it again to me. She not only made me feel stupid but also stated that if I cared about my dog I should get these shots. I certainly understand how important some of these shots are but that point I was so upset and had to explain to her that I just did not have the money but when I was able to I would. She apparently did not like my answers back to her so they sent me my dogs records and they do not want me to come back. I have been going there for years and have never had any issues. Felt like I should not have had to explain my financial status which was embarrassing. So actually, I am relieved because there are so many other places out there that I would rather go to.
