I decided to tag along with a coworker on a Friday afternoon and treat myself to a shellac manicure. She had been to the salon several times and said they did a good job. The parking is very limited in front and parking in back is a bit inconvenient. When we entered the salon we were greeted by a man at the front desk who seemed rushed and annoyed. He told us that it was be about 20 minutes and we took a seat. My friend was called back within a few minutes and I was shortly after. They tried to seat me across the room from her and when I asked if I could be seated next to her they acted like I had made a ridiculous request. The salon is very loud. The employees kids are always running around and lounging in the pedicure chairs on their iPads. I don't know about anyone else but when I get my nails done, it's a treat and I want to be relaxed. Watching children run around and listening to them yelling is not my idea of relaxing. The man who did my first manicure was very quiet and did a nice job. I did find it weird that gel polish was not cleaned up prior to curing, instead it was filed off afterwards. I decided to give them another shot and returned a couple weeks later. I made an appointment and still had to wait a good 10 mins before I was seated. I then sat at the station for another 5 minutes before the nail tech arrived. I looked through the limited selection of gel polish and decided on a purple shade with a couple of glitter accent nails. The nail tech did not understand what I was requesting and I had to explain a few times. She starts applying the purple shade and I begin to realize this is not the shade I picked. I try to explain this to her and she just nods and says 'oh, I don't know'. I decided not to do the glitter and she rushes through the application. Not only was the polish not the color I chose but it was applied unevenly and my cuticles were barely cleaned up. The prices may be low but that's because the quality is low. There are much better salons in the area that will spend time on your manicure to make sure it looks nice when you walk out the door. read more

Started coming here with a friend for pedicures and loved the massage chairs, oranges, hot rocks, hot towel, leg massages and pumice treatments so much I moved on to manicures! I have never been a fan of fingernails, I used to cut them off, but when I started getting the sugar scrub/oil treatment with the hand warmers before they did my nails I was hooked! Now I try to take care of my fingernails so I can keep coming back for my manis as well as my pedis. Mohegans is super affordable and fast and the workers are really friendly and always offer you a beverage. One thing I do recommend is making an appointment ahead of time and being early. The nail experience is amazing! I searched around Omaha a while and this is the place I constantly return to. They are typically pretty busy and also do a pretty thorough job so don't plan to be in and out in 45 min. This is meant to be a relaxing experience and they make it one! Orange slices, hot towels, warm oil and warm lotions and hot stones really cap the experience. My tip if/when getting a pedicure and getting a design don't be specific on what you want. That is setting the nail tech up for failure. Let them do what they are good at and neither of you will be disappointed. read more

So I read these reviews and tried out this nail spot on Sunday. The pedicure experience itself was pretty good. A nice long massage with one minute of hot stones included in the price. Not bad, however, my polish like another yelper turned out horrible. Shouldn't have suprised me after spending 45 minutes on everything else, she painted in literally 45 seconds. We have been there a few times. I recently took my daughter there for her 7th birthday to have a pedicure. we walked in and she picked her color. She sat down and accidently dropped her polish and broke it. The staff looked at us rudely and all watched us while we picked up the broken glass. The staff was rude to us for our entire visit and then they charged us $8.00 for the half bottle of nail polish. I was beyond upset that they made my daughter feel like she had done something wrong for a mistake. Our previous visits were not like this. When your in a business you have to expect things to go wrong and have a plan of action when they do go wrong. Instead of watching us pick up the broken glass they should have to control of the situation and made it better. sadly we will never return read more

Been here a number of times and really like it. It is a very busy place and a bit loud, so if you're looking for a quiet experience this is not it. But the pedi is awesome. Mine have always lasted at least a couple of months! We have never had bad service here. They recently moved over a block and expanded, can't wait to see the new place. read more

Been going here for a few months for pedicures. Nice clean place always busy. I have had both good and not so good nail techs. Today's visit was perfect, Annie did a great job. All pedis include hot stones, hot towels and a massage. For the price and value it is a place to try and if you find a good tech remember to ask for them next time. A five year old could have done a better job. Went in with my mom and sister for pre-bridal shower mani-pedi's. The girl who did mine (Tuyet Mai) could not have done a worse job. She refused to push back my toe cuticles or barely scrubbed the calluses saying it wasn't needed. (Even asked her multiple times to do it) there is literally paint all over my skin and cuticles. When she did my nails she also refused to push back or trim my cuticles after asking 3 times. We didn't have time to sit and wait for them to redo and after talking to the manager he refused to offer any sort of refund and was extremely rude. He brought up the lady to the front and started yelling in Vietnamese which made us very uncomfortable. Won't be back! read more

apparently if you come in at 4:45 pm on a saturday, they're going to rush you even though they close at 6. the guy who did my nails finished them at 5:10 and by this time all of the other employees had left. they rushed me to pay before my nails were even done. i asked for coffin nails some of them are just square. my thumb nail looked the worst (pictures below) i've been to this place before once & that time, the acrylics ripped off my real nails so badly. do not recommend. i can tell that these people care more about getting home than their customers. read more

This place is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. My friend and I went there and they gave her the completely wrong thing. There was hair in her nails and they got nail polish all over her hands. To top it all off they cut open the sides of 4 of my nails. I would not suggest it considering they didn't listen to anything we said we wanted. It was also very expensive and they were yelling at us. I felt violated. I will never go there again. Not only did they do a horrible job but said it was our fault that we didn't communicate even though we told them exactly what we wanted. read more

I normally love coming to this salon but I am not sure I will be back after my last appointment. We had an appointment, but sat for 30 minutes waiting for a spot, rushed through pedicure, made to feel like a we were a burden for requesting shellac on our toes and rushed through getting powder dip nails which ended up looking pretty terrible. Since this was the first time my mom and I felt like we didn't have the best experience we didn't think much of it and tipped as normal and said we would of course be back. That was until my dipped nails chipped in 3 places just 4 days after getting them done and then the next morning they began lifting. I have had dip nails done before at a different salon that lasted 3 weeks and cost less so it is extremely disappointing to have them falling apart just 4 days after getting them done. read more

Do not waste your time. I had my nails done with shellac by Tran. He was annoyed to be working from his attitude. I had a tear in one of my nails I asked him to fix and he barely put nail glue on it. It lasted one day. My 30.00 shellac manicure had to be redone at another salon in less than a week , Totally sucks. read more

I do not know if it is a language barrier or if they just see a white blond girl and thought i was dumb. I have been getting my nails done for years. I know what what and expect. I asked for a fill, that is not what I received. Without asking me they started to take me nails off, when I asked why she said oh they are old you need new ones, they where put on a month ago and this would have been my second fill. They were not old, and if I wanted my nails taken off I would have taken them off before I went in. They put the pink powder on my nails which i told them i do not like, they said oh its better bc they messed up and it is now to late to fix. At the end of it all they charged me to take my nails off and put a full set on.. A $20 appt ended up costing me $50.. When I told they girl when I was checking out, that all i wanted was a fill she just said oh sorry. Will never go back !!!! read more

I went to Cindy at this salon for about a year on the recommendation of a friend. She always did a wonderful job on my gel nails. She was always there, always friendly, and always ready when I arrived for my appointment. I was very surprised when I received a call from her on the day of my last appointment saying she had been fired. The sign-in sheet for appointments had her name all the way down the line every time. No one from the salon called to tell me she wouldn't be there. I have had too many bad experiences at other salons to take a chance on another tech, so I followed Cindy to her new home - Apple Salon on 168th & Maple. I suspect I will not be the only one. My Daughter and 8 of her girls came into your shop to have Mani-Pedi's. Everyone had ok service except the bride. She was reduced to tears by your nail person, to the point where 3 ladies that were not with us sitting in pedi chairs said something because of the way she was being treated. We complained and the only thing you did was send her back to her chair for him to fix her nails, this made it worse he was MEAN and VERY RUDE. Your (whom I am assuming was a manager lady) said to me when I complained "yea he has a bit of an attitude sometime" I was furious but didn't want to cause a scene since my daughter was already in tears and nails bleeding. We ended up going somewhere else to have them fixed. I paid you $180 dollars for 3 of us. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and am perusing filing a law suit with small claims court to have my money refunded. I have never in my life seen someone at a nail salon treated the way your employee treated my daughter. Shame on you for allowing this person to take clients and treat them that way. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I decided to get my first pedicure here and I will never come back to this nail salon. I had the worst experience in customer service which is why I will never come back. A man named Mihn was the one doing the pedicure. Right from the beginning me made me feel uncomfortable and was making inappropriate comments to my friends little sister who was joining us. Mihn said he was "too lazy and tired" to finish the job and said he was out drinking the night before and didn't want to be at work. He got up, left me without saying a word after paining one nail. Then he asked another coworker to finish my toes for him, HE TOOK A SEAT IN THE CHAIR NEXT TO ME and had someone come massage his feet while his coworker finished my pedicure. I had the worst pedicure I've ever had at Mohegan. My five year old could've given me a better massage. She scrubbed my feet for maybe 1 minute and got no dead skin off. I walked out of there in no better shape than I went in. When I tried to explain my concerns to the manager he would not listen. He told me of I wanted more exfoliation he could get back to me in about 20 minutes but he would charge me extra. I get pedicures every month or so from various places and this is the first time I've ever gone back to complain about a service. The two times I experienced this place was AWFUL! Just went in this weekend for the second time for a shellac manicure (thought I would give it another shot) and the gal told me to sit and went to town on my cuticles, ripped my entire cuticle off, I couldn't stop bleeding the entire time I was getting the manicure done!! The last time I went in for a pedicure and manicure, the water was cold so I asked for more hot water and it seemed like such an inconvenience. The paint they use is HORRIBLE, its been two days and it looks like ive had this manicure for about two weeks. I wanted to have my acrylics taken off but, Kim, my nail tech explained that we could just file down the acrylic so that the nails wouldn't be so fragile. I had a very bad experience my first time visiting this shop. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I decided to give them a shot because they are conveniently located close to my home. I had an appointment for a full set (meaning a new set of acrylic nails-shellac) & a pedicure. I came in, signed my name & took a seat. My name was called about 10 minutes after my scheduled time, which isn't a really big deal. The lady that I set with was very rude, she didn't greet me & despite all the other employees offering their guests a drink, not once did she ask me! She began to give me a manicure, I was confused when she asked me to wash my hands before applying my set of nails, but I did it. She then put either a clear base or top coat on my natural nails; I was so confused! So, I asked her was she still going to put the false nails on, she's not even paying attention to me & just says yes, yes & nods. Then she started applying the glitter option that I chose. I said, no I don't want that on my natural nails, I'm getting acrylic. She begins talking in another language to the guy who seemed to be just walking around and greeting people as they came in. It turned out to be a big huge misunderstanding. The lady was upset, I was upset, & she was still expecting me to pay. I was pissed at this point because it was about 5:20p, my appointment was at 4:30p & the guy is like, 'well, we can't get to it today' because apparently the last service is at 6p at the latest?? They should have corrected the mistake and gave me the service that I had arranged well in advance & was there to receive. I take my 12 year old grandaughter here to get manicures. Today was our 3rd time. The first time I made a reservation but we just dropped in the last 2 times. The guy who runs the place is super efficient and really keeps the place moving. Another customer told me she never makes reservations and has never waited more than 10 minutes. They charge $15 for real nails and do an excellent job. Although I don't have anything done they always offer me something to drink. They usually pull up a chair for me so I can sit next to my granddaughter while they work on her. Everyone is very friendly although some don't speak much english. I'm impressed with this place and will continue to bring my girl here. My family has been going to Mohegan for years while one member of my family has never had any problems my mother and I have had numerous problems. Now my mothers feet are not the prettiest but when she got a pedicure the person doing her nails laughed at her feet and then separated her nail from the nail bed. After many years it has never healed. I recently went there to get a mani and pedi. Because I could not understand my nail lady i agreed to get a shalaque. I was happy with it the first day, but the next day i realized she did not paint all the way to my cuticle. A person with OCD has a big problem with not having a completely smooth nail and tends to pick the polish off. Let's just say i tore off 5 top layers of my nails. Hate it there. I would never recommend it to someone. The employees always get distracted and stop working to talk to each other is vietnamese which bothers me a lot. I don't recommend it at all. read more

The lady that did my nails was very quick and sloppy. When she was clipping my nails she let them fly wherever, one hit my cheek, another went to the station next to me and the station next to me was clipping another girls nails as well and they came flying to where i was sitting.
