This has been my go-to gas station for years. Consistently the lowest prices around. They have also put significant effort into upgrades and improvements into the building, lot, and pumps. It's a smaller gas station so it can get pretty busy, but the customers tend to be courteous and patent. read more

Their one of the only a very few gas stations in Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos and Escondido area that do not charge you extra for using your debit credit card. Most other places charge you $.10-$.15 per gallon for the convenience of using your own bank ! Mohsen's business practices are dishonest and don't serve in the interests of customers, who are there primarily to purchase gas. We're not stopping to buy food. Not fixing the card readers but putting signs on them for customers to pay inside is an inconvenience, especially in the morning when many need to be someplace. This practice has gone on for almost a year, to the point I complained to Mohsen and started buying gas elsewhere for a few cents more to avoid having to stand in line to buy gas. I went back again and those same 'Pay Inside' signs were on the card readers at several pumps. I suspect that Mohsen wants to maintain this status quo, to get customers to come inside and make additional purchases. I prefer to purchase gas at the pump, travel to where I need to be and don't wish to prolong my time by having to wait in a line of 4-5 people. read more

Hard NO place. Stopped for gas on my coast drive from OC. My issue is, i drive a small car. Filling up is not much money. YET this gas station is one of the few that charge $100 to my credit card hold. Not debit card, credit. American Express. My card has a $100 hold on it, for my $20 gas purchase. Now me as a consumer has to make sure this charge falls off, along with other hotel incidentals, returns from merchants monthly. I absolutely love how companies can take money in seconds for purchases, yet returning it takes days, weeks or even up to a month. In the age of technology, this sort of caveman practice is coming to an end. Until then we have to monitor OUR cards I will never stop for gas at this place. By the way, maybe clean up the people in your parking lot doing obviously bad things. Hire a security guard, and don't charge people at pumps without notifying them of the hold. My husband and I used to get gas at the Mission Street Mohsen exclusively. The young woman at the register ended that for us. She is like the Seinfeld show's "soup nazi" deciding who gets gas and who doesn't. The lowest gas prices around usually; even diesel. In my family we long ago nicknamed this place "ghetto gas" because it used to be not more than a run down shack with pumps. However they have redone the little store & it is much better. The lines can be long & they don't have a public restroom. Even almost a year after moving from Oceanside to Fallbrook,'I find myself in awe whenever I come by this gas station..my son and I will both go out of our way the mile so it takes to hit up the cheapest gas station this side of North County! It has been completely renovated, so it looks much cleaner and nicer than it did when we first moved here way back in 2008! There are drawbacks though...credit cards cost more per gallon, but debit works same as cash. The entire city knows about this place now so the parking lot is always full of cars. Though there are arrows clearly pointing the direction you're supposed to enter and exit, there's always that one guy who decides he can't wait in line like he was taught in Kindergarten, and must park the opposite way, which screws up the entire directional flow of the rest of the grownups: he always avoids eye contact and makes sure to top off and shake a few times before he is completely done. I find that kind of superiority complex to be not only gross and self important but it's kind of a jerk move to those of us who wait in line like patient people who have kids of their own and loves too that they'd probably like to get back to rather than wait for some jerk who can't be bothered to follow the same rules everyone (except him, the Unleaded Lord of the Nozzle, who will place it on auto fuel so he can slither back into his preciousss vehicle that clearly compensates for his lack of brainpower by an absurd amount of horsepower...) If everyone is following the rules and pointing in the right direction whilst fueling up, the lines actually move along smoothly and then politely move things along (Mr. Hypothetic D-Bag likes to take up residence in his backed facing car, where he plays games on social media and dreams of one day becoming an Influencer - dream big, buddy...dream big). Even those people who pay cash inside and grab a snack don't even seem to hold the flow up too much. It can be crowded after regular work hours, but when prices are the lowest in town, you're going to be a pretty popular place! Of course, you could be fooled by AMPM's sneaker trick of pretending to be a few cents lower...until you realize they add a 35- cent surcharge to their "cheap" gasoline...which isn't savings...it's basically sneaky and deceptive sales tactics. Their burgers are tasty, but they're not even made out of real meat (no way real meat tastes like that!) and their fake McRib looks like something I wouldn't give to a hungry homeless anima! Back to Moheson though...great gas, sometimes douche customers, but the staff rock, the renovations are nice, and the only thing they could do better would be to add some more pumps, because 8 just isn't enough when you've got the best prices in town! This local business has literally built itself up from a tiny hole in the wall that was cheap but run down...and while renovating, they had a trailer they dutifully operated out of, despite the credit machine locking up constantly and the ark never working...the snacks were also threadbare, but hey, transitions take time. You can't rush that kind of overhaul, and for those of us who love the still-low prices and way better looking building and having an indoor restroom; it was worth the wait! Support this local business...they had a sweet tribute to Junior Seau severa years back - as many locals know, he had been a strong supporter of the local community; never forgot where his roots were; and was a beautiful soul with a philanthropic heart that helped many people in his hometown prior to his unfortunate and untimely passing. The fact they kept a tribute up to him for years in memory of how much he gave back to his community is one of the many reasons online them...and why I support local business. Mohsen, Costco. What's the connection? I'm not sure, but I see Mohsen labelled trucks topping off Costco Stations. Mohsen is consistently cheaper than Costco too which makes sense and cheaper than AM/PM or ARCO's With both Oceanside locations getting remodeled this year (2015) they actually aren't half bad. I mean the lots and paving are a mess, they aren't that clean, but those prices are hard to beat. Cash vs. Card have different pricing of course. Having so many entrances makes for a mess when people are cutting in from everywhere. They should have dozed the whole building and made room for an actual store and parking and amenities. Staff is not on top of cleaning or ringing up customers as there is regularly a line out the door in the mornings. Stations are not clearly #'d except 1 medium sized sticker. Also there is not enough space to maneuver between the 2 westerly pump stations. It's very near my old bar, a brewery, my favorite late night burrito spot so yeah it's easy to see why I come here so much. read more

Man oh man if you want the cheapest gas then you have to come here. It's always crazy busy here and sometimes there is a line of car in the street which is a traffic hazard. Came here today to fill up the tank because gasbuddy said this was the place to be!! Little did I know however, that I was to be duped. I came ready to fork up $3.98/gallon, and only discovered upon arriving that the price is definitely $3.98/gallon BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE PAYING WITH CASH. With that being said, my review score for this establishment has dropped (since my last visit) because they charge more if you use credit card (almost $0.10/gallon). It has been several years since I bought gas here, because when I did the gas destroyed my engine. It cost $1400 to repair. My mechanic told me it was the gas, and when I told him where I got it he said he had a number of customers with issues that stemmed from this company's gas. After first refusing to accept the papers informing him he was being sued, the business owner showed up in small claims court. I had my mechanic come with me and hard evidence that the gas caused my problem. The business owner denied it was his gas, but with my evidence the judge ruled in my favor. The owner then appealed the decision and I was forced to go back to court. The second judge decided that since my mechanic was not with me this time, she didn't have the same evidence to make the same decision and overturned the first judge. I had also brought in samples of their gas and similarly priced gas from elsewhere. These were confiscated at the second hearing, so the judge didn't have the proof in front of her. Those were her reasons for denying me justice. I was low-income, driving my used car and scraping by financially when this happened. They got away with damaging my car and my finances. Needless to say their customer service is beyond sub-par. read more

We stopped here a few times while in Oceanside, CA. A friend of mine lives there and said that this spot is regularly 30 cents cheaper per gallon than any other place she's been to in the area. The drawback is that there is no pay at the pump - you must go inside and estimate your amount and pre-pay that amount... but that's likely how they keep the prices down. read more
