First time going to see Dr Mojab, cheap teeth cleaning and x-rays but he tried to scam me into getting fillings for cavities that I don't have. Dr Mojab quoted me ~$450 to fix 4 cavities and I would have likely paid it, but I wanted amalgum fillings and Dr Mojab only does plastic. I went to see another more expensive dentist ready to get my cavities filled. He poked at the my teeth and looked at the x-rays and said that I have an excellent layer of enamel, and no cavities. So just be aware and informed. I'm not sure if it was Dr Mojab intention to deceive me into getting unnecessary dental work. read more

I spent few hours at Mojab Dental this past weekend, getting through the cleaning and filling and it was best experience I've ever had at the dentist. I am so pleased with the service from Dr. Mojab and the staff. They accommadated my request for an appointment on short notice and were just absolutely the top most in friendly professional service. The yelp reviews are what interested me to drive 42 miles to come to his office and it was worth it. The rates are reasonable too, as I don't have dental insurance and pay out of pocket. Even though I had found 2 cavities, there was no pressure to get them fixed same day or anything. I received a written estimate for the repairs and it was more than fair. I will be returning their to get them filled. I know many people are concerned about honesty and I am sure that I have 2 cavities because he showed them to me with a mirror and sure enough there were 2 very visible black spots almost like mold spots on the center of my rear molars. I have not been using flouride toothpaste for a few years but also I only brush once a day so that could be the reason. I also I only get my teeth cleaned like once every 5 or 6 years, so I was asking to get a cavity. This is an honest dental practice and genuine high quality service. You won't regret coming here for your dental needs. If you have any concerns Dr. Mojab and the staff will kind patiently address them all. Dr Ali Mojab has been our family dentist for 2 years. He is professional, but also affable and friendly. He is very busy with a full patient load, so he generally can't see you right away. My wife and I are 100% satisfied with Dr Mojab's work on our dental issues. The reason I'm writing is my wife is now fighting stage 4 cancer, and on top of all she has to deal with, 2 days ago her partial plate (put in before we saw Dr Mojab) loosened out of her mouth. I was very worried Dr Mojab, with his constant full schedule, couldn't see her for quite a while. Anyhow we called the office that nite hoping and the next morning Dr Mojab called, learned of the problem, and set us up to come in the following morning in between regularly scheduled patients. No waiting a month for a normal appointment. So I bring her in that next morning, Dr Mojab fixes & reglues the partial. Minimal bill as well. If there were more than 5 stars he'd get them all! Lets just start out by saying all my experiences with dentists set the bar rather low for me. At the ever-so-loathsome semiannual teeth cleaning, I was told that I needed my wisdom teeth taken out. I live in Sacramento, CA, and being that my own dentist doesn't handle oral surgeries, I was referred to Dr. Ali Mojab. I drove from Sacramento to Pleasanton to have him conduct my surgery. I had never been to his office before. I walked in, and was simply amazed. I had never seen such a clean and professional dentist's office! Everything looked organized, but also comfortable. This atmosphere allowed me to feel more at ease (I get very nervous when it comes to surgeries... you can ask him). Of course, there is nothing fun about surgery, but I would say it was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with a dentist -- or with any doctor, for that matter. I was awake the whole time and due to his very skilled numbing process, I was at ease and didn't feel a thing (of course every once in a while he would stop and ask me how I was doing but I was better than ever!). His oral hygienist, Angie, was very helpful during this whole process. She made sure I was comfortable and that everything was set up before my surgery. Dr. Mojab made sure to brief me on the post-surgery do's and dont's. I was given everything I needed to recover quickly. My recovery time was less time than I thought, and I even got a couple calls to see how I was doing from my very friendly dentist, Dr. Mojab. I had to change dentists recently as my previous dentist was not a provider for my new insurance plan. From the list of providers I was given who were on the plan who practice in Pleasanton, where I live, I chose Dr. Mojab because he had the best yelp reviews. Sometimes this is risky because it is clear that some of these reviews can be fakes, but in this case, I concur with everyone else. This office is great! Dr. Mojab is patient and gentle and listens to your fears and does his best to accommodate your concerns - such as heating up the water used to rinse my mouth during the treatments as I told him my teeth are sensitive to cold. This was a very nice touch and very much appreciated. He did not try to up-sell services or treatments that I didn't need. This is always a risk. A lot of dentists will try to talk you into replacing fillings or redoing some other work, but this did not happen at all with Dr. Mojab, and when he said I didn't need a costly crown which had been recommended by another dentist, quite yet, I was sold. His office is very comfortable and welcoming and I even got a blanket when I felt a bit cold. :-) I am glad I found Dr. Mojab's office and if he is on your list of participating dentists, or if you are just looking for a great dentist, do not hesitate to select this office to serve all your dental needs. read more

Other dentists I've been to in Fremont and Milpitas took too long to do one job and it is not done right. From the first time I met Dr. Mojib, he took his time, asked me questions, addressed my fears, and patiently advised me on my dental issues. More importantly, he addressed my concerns promptly like making time to see me on a Saturday to address an dental issue. Dr. Mojab is AMAZING! He has a quaint office that is easy to miss hidden in an older complex of Pleasanton, but what a find it is. My daughter needed 4 teeth to be extracted. Booyah! He did it and with minimal pain in a short amount of time. Her orthodontist insisted I take her to an oral surgeon. Not only was my daughters braces costing us a lot of money, but an oral surgeon can get quite expensive and I didn't want the risk of putting my child completely under anesthesia if I didn't have to. Spoke to Dr. Mojab's office and they guaranteed they could do the job with local anesthesia. They were able to work with my insurance and save me a ton of money. The day of the scheduled extractions, Dr. Mojab wasn't feeling well. Rescheduled for the next day and Dr. Mojab pulled through. Although I was a bit nervous for my daughter, things went better than expected. He made my daughter feel at ease. My daughter healed nicely over the next couple of days. It was a great experience overall. I'm glad I found him. His credentials and work speak for itself. He truly gets my vote for MVD (Most Valuable Dentist) of the year.
