I began my search for a new dentist at this dental practice, mistakenly believing that a clinician in DUBLIN cannot possibly be biased or misguided. While the actual service itself (full dental examination including gum analysis) was professional, Cynthia Ignacio's general approach was one of fear-mongering and wildly fatalistic. I was given a treatment plan in excessive of $2,000.00, including a crown (which I EXPRESSLY stated I was not interested in). Took it under advisement and kept searching. Good things come to those who wait! Today I found the absolutely amazing Dr. Carol Jin just a few miles away who pronounced the state of my dentistry 'absolutely normal' and issued a treatment plan that was both comprehensive, reasonably priced and fully functional. Let the buyer beware. Do your homework and ask practitioners the hard questions. Rarely are dental issues life-threatening emergencies. read more

The dentists and hygenists are pretty good at their jobs, esp in preventive care and being punctual However, be aware that the doctors can be condescending, when you get honest with not following their 'rules' like flossing frequently. Their billiing is certainly a mess. More than once I receive invoice that owning them treatment fees, after the visit. Amounts around $200 each time. It can come in after the quotes show an out-of-pocket amount that I fully paid upon the day of visit. There are visits that I checked and was informed that insurance should cover 100%, but no an invoice follows up with $200 owing to them. NO apologies or anything that says the initial estimate was in error. They just go 'you have to pay this amount' period. I use their service for more than 10 years. They were excellent initially. As their patient base builds up, I guess they think they are comfortable enough to pick and choose their patients, in the way they manage their admin office and bedside manners. Issue happens once too many times. I am thinking of switching. read more

I think when a business hires an overly incompetent front staff (debbie) who handles comms with first time and existing customers, it speaks volumes in terms of what kind of service you will receive. It's a shame because maybe the dentists here are world class but as Kanye west puts it, I guess I'll never know. read more

I absolutely recommend Dublin Family Dentistry. Everyone there is so helpful and kind. They're very good at what they do, prices seem aligned with other local providers. The facility itself is very clean and welcoming... the only frustration is the escalator at Ulferts center is often turned off or not functional. That's not the fault of DFD, but a real ADA concern for the property owners! read more

Very conveniently located near me. It is in the little Asian Strip mall on the 2nd floor. Take the escalator in the middle of the mall to the 2nd floor and go left. All Covid protocols in place. It felt very sanitary. Hadn't gotten my teeth cleaned since covid started so it was great to finally go in. The hygienist/dental assistant that I had was really great! Very welcoming and good technique. I wish I caught her name. She was wonderful. Parking was not a problem on this day but I know on weekends this mall is more crowded particularly when it was pre-covid. But plenty of spots this time though. I recommend this office. I also liked that you could pre-fill out all the forms online. They email you a link beforehand. read more

Great dentist! Close to the freeway and in a little plaza with Koi Palace (some of the best dim sum in the East Bay, haha). I would definitely say that this place is CLEAN, which you absolutely need with Covid- tons of air purifiers, sanitizer, gloves/gowns/masks etc. Service is really good and they explain everything in depth. I've been coming here since a mere few months after their initial opening. It's been well over a decade and they've just been great. The cleanings are through and pain, poke and discomfort free. Never had an issue booking appointments at times that work for me, they're great with reminders. They have taken care of three cavities as well as replacing/repairing an old filling from a former dentist. They have all gone smoothly, with all but the mildest discomfort throughout the procedure. Few can say they enjoy going to the dentist - but I can sure say I don't dread it. read more

Appointments are punctual, staff has great bedside manners and covid precautions are on point.

I have been going to this location for 5+ years. All of a sudden I get a bill in the mail that I owe $175 for a visit that was 2months ago, when there was no change to my insurance. They reach out to collect and I'm confused as my insurance hasn't changed and they explain to me, that one of their dentists pulled out of my network but my next appt is with a dentist who is back in my network. I did not receive a phone call explaining this nor was I told at check in. This is absurd, now I have to chase down getting a refund from my insurance when the dental office should have properly notified me that one of their dentist had a change and would I want to swap to another dentist in their office that is in my network. I will not be returning. read more

Can you love going to the dentist? Because I do! I absolutely look forward to upcoming appointments! I've been going to Dr Chen since 2009 or 2010. That's 11+ years now! She listens to my concerns, explains the treatments well, and shows me how to take preventative care of my teeth and gums. Dr Chen said due to my old silver fillings, that a crown may be needed if I eat hard things like whole nuts because that can cause the minute cracks to be more pronounced. That was 2014 and I've been very careful so no crown yet! I truly appreciate her monitoring it and teaching me how to be better with my own oral health. Years ago, Dr Chen explained why flossing daily is a must (I should have known but really didn't!) and it somehow got through to my thick head. Over the years I've been more consistent and it's paid off. My wonderful superstar hygienist today, Janna, said she could really see an improvement! She said my gums used to be really reactive and not any more! My cleanings are virtually pain-free now. :D It's a healthy progression of learning to be proactive with better oral health behaviors leading to less pain to eventually having a pleasant cleaning and checkup with minimal pain. I appreciate Dr Chen and Janna--and really all the wonderful hygienists I've had--Sonia, Nova...being gentle and thorough in their care. Most importantly their patient explanations have taught me to take better care of myself. They remember how I was in the past--sometimes nervous and addressed the cause of those concerns. They show me they care and remember me. I will be going there for 11+ more years! read more

I was Dr. Wong's patient for about 7 years. I came in to her with many major problems such as multiple cavities including deep cavity, root canal, excessive gum bleeding, teeth grinding, my retainers needed to be replaced, later on one of my teeth had to be removed. Dr. Pamela Wong was able not only to address all these issues but helped improve my oral health dramatically. The hygienists in the office are very professional and knowledgeable too. They always make the treatment as comfortable as possible. They concentrate on a preventative care and explain in details what you can do to care of your teeth and gums at home. When I needed a referral to other dentist specialists I was given the best possible recommendations. The only reason I am not with Dr. Wong anymore is that I moved out of the state. read more

I recently had to come with my young child, and Jana was very extremely patient and understanding when he became upset. I've been going here for yearrsssss. For a while I was very skeptical as all the dentists and staffs changed. But I feel comfortable again. I miss my old dentist but the new ones are still very good. I had a mountain bike accident and chipped my 2 front tooth. I was freaking out a little, so I called right away - before I even got home. They offered me to send in some photos so they can tell me initial evaluations. It wasn't toooo bad. I got an appointment the next day with Dr. Tabesh and her assistant (sorry i forgot your name! Vivian?) They were super awesome and cared for me. They made me feel comfortable given my accident. They were able to fill/bond the two chipped tooth in the front. The color and texture matched my original teeth so well. You can't even tell. The Doctor apologized to me for taking too long and being too picky. I was like NO WAY, you take as long as you need, this is how i'm going to look from now on. Your quality work will be walking around town :P I'd post before/after photos, but i'm a little self conscious about my other injuries right now, maybe after those heal. I liked that they really offered the best solution for my issue. They could have easily tried to rip me off by getting a cap instead of a bonded filling and made a lot of money, but they thought this was the best approach since I still had a good amount of tooth. She says we can evaluate later if i'm not happy with the bond/filling. Ascetically this solution was quick and awesome! I'm just now sad I am unable to eat hard foods from my front teeth anymore :( Good bye sandwiches, apples, pizza? What a life changing event, just for a chipped tooth... I recently went in as a first time patient for a routine cleaning, and I was very satisfied with my experience. I have Delta PPO insurance, which only covers one x-ray per year, so they allowed me to transfer the ones I had taken at a previous dentist earlier this year. Dr. Tabesh performed my exam and did some cleaning before a hygienist polished and flossed. She was great at giving me tips on what type of floss, toothbrush, etc. is best for my mouth (I have some sensitive areas). She also answered any questions I had, and compared to my previous dentist, she was very professional and caring. The office is very nice and they even have a TV on top of the chair where you can put headphones on and watch anything you want on Netflix! I did my paperwork beforehand and arrived promptly, and I was in and out within 45 minutes. They gave me a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste to go. I went ahead and booked an appointment for my next cleaning and I'm looking forward to visiting again! read more

Short Story: A fantastic dentistry! Long Story: I've been coming here for 8 years and each time I've been extremely happy. The service here is like 7 stars! All the dentists, hygienists, assistants, and everyone make you feel comfortable and relaxed. You actually look forward to seeing your dentist. They are very personable with some small talk. I feel that these dentists genuinely care about you as a person and not just see you as a patient. I've never had any major service done here but I've talked to people who have. All the people who had major service all say they really had a good experience. Verdict: My dentist is Dr. Chen and I would recommend her to anyone. When our dentist no longer covered our insurance, I searched Yelp to find a new dentist in our area. After reading all of the rave reviews for Dublin Family Dentistry, we decided to give them a try. Well, almost 7 years later, we are still extremely happy patients! Dr. Wong and her staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Even when we moved out of the area, we still continued to come to their practice. Our two young daughters look forward to every appointment and say they "can't wait to see Dr. Wong." You know you're in good hands when you make an emergency call 5 minutes before they close because our 4-year-old had just knocked one of her teeth out on the coffee table and they didn't hesitate to say that they would wait for us to get there to check her out! All they care about is making money. They cram their calendars as full as possible, making it impossible for a current patient to schedule a new date unless it's a year out. If they cared about their patients, they would stop taking on new patients and focus on the ones they have, and make it so I don't have to wait six months if I need to schedule something. It's been over a year since they have been able to offer me an appointment that has been less than four months out. This time around, I had an appointment for mid April but it got canceled due to the coronavirus. They told me it was canceled and offered me something on July 29th. Even m booking six months in advance when I go in for a checkup is troublesome. They routinely book themselves so full that it is impossible for you to get an appointment. I could understand making me wait a week or two. But having NOTHING from March until August??? How can that happen? And before they say it's because they're rescheduling coronavirus appointments, read my first review (before the first case of coronavirus was even recorded), and you'll see that they wanted me to wait FIVE MONTHS because they overlooked themselves. Imagine ANY other profession doing that...booking themselves so full that you need to wait months on end to get another appointment. An eye doctor. A psychologist. A general practitioner. A masseuse. A mechanic. I could go on, but you get the idea. It's completely unacceptable and I'm not going to put up with it anymore. Yeah, they offered to call me if something opens up. Call me old fashioned, but I don't want to book my dental appointments the same way people fly on standby. It shouldn't come to that. I swore last time that I was going to find another dentist...then they offered me something more reasonable than the five months out they initially told me. This time I mean it. Never going back. I hope for your sake you go somewhere where the dentists don't book themselves so full that it's impossible to get a new appointment. read more

The turn of events went very fast for my teeth and I paniced and called Dr.chans office on a Saturday begging for them to check out my chipped tooth. They were unable to take me that day but they had a cancelation on the following Tuesday. I was able to get my cleaning done along with deep cleaning and a bunch of other things in one week with the amount of cancelations (thank god) happened at the office. I am overall impressed and happy with how Dr Chan, Linda and the whole staff at Dublin Family Dentistry helped me under a week with my teeth issues. I highly recommend them. I broke a molar tooth while chewing on a crouton recently. After the first consultation by Dr Tabesh, I had a painless root canal treatment by Dr Lauren Phan @The Endodontic Center in Pleasanton. It was followed by the tooth crowning procedure. Vivian and Dr Wong did an amazing job fabricating and installing a temporary crown and followed by a permanent crown just a few days later. The entire process from the first consultation till the installation of permanent crown took just about 2 weeks. I was 100% satisfied with the process. Vivian and Dr Wong were competent and took ownership of my dental needs and concerns. I knew I was well taken care of at Dublin Family of Dentistry. Service is good ,they try their best to adjust and try to fit in your schedule! Very nice with kids and comfortable arrangements for all!My only concern is seeing Dr Tebash lately - she pushes you for doing x-rays every time you visit-tiny lil dot of a cavity on my son's tooth and she coaxed me into an x-ray ! it was not needed, I feel she is incompetent and just smart mouthed-Pushed my younger one for an xray as well - he just turned 5 no reason- last time i had braces in my teeth she pushed me into an x-ray and then told she cant see a thing for braces! I have one of the best insurance available and I feel they are minting money from my insurance doing unnecessary x-rays!
