Beware of the honey diluters. Mojo is a nice, convenient corner to catch a quick cup of coffee. There's also an adequate arrangement of teas to select from if you're not into coffee. The staff is a huge part of the atmosphere--they're usually a joyous bunch of individuals. But be ware and be warned: they are a contributing partner in the movement to dilute honey into simple syrup. One morning, a barista urged me that it was a "better alternative" because it's easier for them. Frankly, what's easiest for me is to have actual honey with my tea. Beyond this, the burritos are tasty. There's a nice variety in the selection, but they can be a bit pricey for the size of the breakfast burrito. It's also a great spot to work through the day if you ever need a quiet--but moderately active--space to switch up the pace. All in all, a decent shop that can definitely help juzz up your mojo. read more

I come here just for the burritos! So it isn't the biggest breakfast burrito I've had for $5-$6 (with the sauce), but it is so good! Must get the hot sauce with it, which is an up-charge. I had the bacon burrito a couple of weeks ago and thought about getting this one ever since. Every time I have been to Mojo's there is a line. However, I do think the line moves at a decent pace. There are typically a lot of people sitting/working at tables, so I don't really stay too long or do my computer work here. I prefer a place with a little more lighting. read more

Hands down! This is the best coffee shop in Nola. I have never had a creamier, thicker, stained my mug coffee before coming here. I LOVED it! The only thing missing is maybe some boozy coffee options with those creamy delicious drinks. They have two locations one on Freret and one on Mag and I came to the Freret one. This place is in a huge space. It was about 2pm and there wasn't any available seating inside the establishment. There was plenty of college kids working on their lap tops or meeting friends, but there were some older guests inside as well. There are some small food options but the coffee is the star here. I am still dreaming about that candy cane mocha coffee. They have outdoor seating if you are unable to find any inside and off street parking. Plenty to eat around this area too with kolache kitchen across the street and windowsill pies next door. Great location and great coffee! read more

Right now during COVID-19, they are doing an amazing job implementing safety practices to ensure coffee drinkers, like myself, are getting our caffeine fix. There are about 2/3 tables available outside but focusing on the ordering system... Mojo currently has a one way entry system so visitors aren't coming in through both entrances. You enter through the main door then exit through the side door. There is plexiglass between you and the Mojo Team and they have a big ol' bottle of hand sanitizer for you to utilize. You can place any coffee order (they also have food still) and it comes out promptly. There's probably like a total of 4 coffee drinkers spaced out throughout their whole space. All the tables and chairs are piled up and they have blocked the use of the bathrooms. (Which I totally get) Thank you Mojo for keeping your doors open! read more

While in the area, walking down the sidewalk, we stopped in to warm up and enjoy a small snack. We were greeted by several employees then ordered coffee, tea, and a cream cheese danish. The coffee itself was very good. The bottom of the mocha was all chocolate syrup. The hot tea was not the best. I like their selection and how they show the teas (large clear labeled jars on the shelf). I decided on the blue eyes tea. Unfortunately, even after steeping the tea it tasted like paper, like the flavor of the bag or cup. The actual tea flavor was very faint. The cream cheese Danish was okay, but too sweet. I am a big fan of this place. I've visited plenty of times. Their pastries and drinks are fantastic. The people working are always very pleasant and helpful. You can ask for your drinks in a mug or glass which I appreciate. There is also a few outdoor seating spots where you will often spot a furry friend. It is situated right next to Humble Bagel and across the street from Kolache Kitchen, so it is an optimal place to go for coffee than breakfast nearby. It is in prime location on Freret St. and close to Tulane so can be crowded with families and students. I find that if I try to go there to get work done, I have to avoid busy times like Sunday afternoons to beat out the many college students that go their to work. read more

It was the perfect thing I needed after walking over in the cold. I love that it's so close to my house that I can take a nice little walk over! I came to meet a friend to talk about a gathering we're hosting and it didn't feel like it should be a quiet space without talking nor was it too loud to hear each other. Basically, it was a great place to meet up with someone and have a conversation. They were also playing great music and it was a great volume as well! I love how welcoming it feels to go inside. I think it's because of all the windows, so you can see the counter and everything, well besides the back room. They have single person gender neutral bathrooms as well. This little coffee house was our haven away from the heat of the Freret Street Festival. Surprisingly, even being in the middle of the festival - the coffeeshop had seats and spaces. I indulged in a large ice coffee, which was pretty good. A little on the bitter side and too much ice to water it down, but otherwise a solid cup of joe. My wife and I sat here to decompress and tune out the world and stare into our phones like zombies. It was much needed after a day of walking around in the NOLA heat. The bathrooms were clean, the coffee was decent and the wifi seemed to work. The shop is definitely spacious too, seemed like a great place to get some work done. read more

Strong coffee, great study spot, expanding menu. Staff is pretty cool, usually stocked with hipsters, as per the mojo brand. It fits in pretty well with other freret places as it offers that same charming funkiness of nearby restaurants. They have a great selection of yummy baked goods from local places + sandwiches (starting at 10AM), and they've recently added more food items like salads and açaí bowls (if you're into that). Surprisingly enough, i think they have some of the best açaí bowls in NOLA! I've tried the mermaid one and regular açaí one and been impressed by both. This great coffee shop is conveniently located right next to other stores and restaurants on Freret Street. In addition to coffee, they also sell baked goods, a broad array of lemonades, whole bean coffee, and brewing devices. The temperature inside was perfect and the music was an appropriate level for getting some work done (but might be a tad bit loud for studying). There is usually plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and a few outlets. The best part about this shop is their staff. They are extremely passionate about coffee, and they love talking about what they are currently roasting. I bought a bag of coffee, and they gave me a complimentary espresso shot. On that note, I would definitely recommend their espresso; its nothing extraordinary, but its pretty solid. They are also one of the only coffee shops that stays open super late, which is awesome. read more

A standby prominently located on a Freret street corner. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, both of which were open when I visited, which is awfully helpful these days. I ended up with a chai latte, which they offer in a variety of sizes and with niche milk substitute options for those in need. They had a few pastries and things out for food, though if you need anything more substantial, there are plenty of other places you can get it. Mostly, this is a place to sit and work or sit and talk, and doing that outside of the home is a big deal. I was glad I used it as a meeting space. read more

They have oat milk - ya ya I know it's a super hipstery thing, but I'm on board. My crew stayed at an AirBNB across the street for vacation and instantly became regulars until we sadly had to leave and go back to reality. The newest location of the Mojo Coffee House is a winner. The Mojo on Magazine Street is my favorite coffee shop on earth. Because I love it so much, I was unsure what I would think when I visited this brand new location. Now I actually think I might like it even better. This version of Mojo still has everything that I love about the original location with several great improvements. Location: The location on Freret is a great fit for the Mojo brand. What sets Mojo apart from the other local coffeehouses is the amazing coffee in a cool, funky atmosphere. While I guess Mojo is now technically a chain, this location still feels like a one of a kind. Coffee: Mojo has some of the best iced coffee I have ever tried. I am not a fan of ridiculous fru-fru drinks, but for iced coffee and espresso, Mojo is difficult to beat. Staff: This is a brand new crew, but they were unbelievably friendly and helpful. They had no idea that I visit their sister store nearly every day, but they treated me like I was a regular. The shop: This location is much larger than the original location. As a result, it seems much quieter, and easier to use as a place to study, or conduct meetings. The bathroom is the Taj Mahal compared to the Magazine store. It is much larger and the door has an actual lock. I really love the new location. I don't think it will become my regular shop because it's too far from home and work, but I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area. I highly recommend you visit this location and suspect you will love it too. read more

On a corner on Freret street with plenty of outside (and inside) seating. It was quite pleasant sitting outside at a table with friends. I had a drip coffee and an apple turnover and both were good. Only drawback is that it's freret street and parking is difficult - many one way streets in the area, so you may drive around a while looking for street parking. read more
