Still great coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quick service and nice clean location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cappuccino is always made fresh by the cup (as it should be) and delicious. Lots of coffee options, and snacks.

Traditional beignets - ate the other two too fast for the photo

GREAT BEIGNETS!!! Regular and mini! Love it. This is an excellent spot for two awesome things - cafe au laits of multiple kinds (my favorite coffee drink!) and beignets, also with multiple options. I will have to come back and try the spiked cafe au lait, since I was alcoholed-out at the time... They also have coffee with chicory. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tastefully decorated, cozy interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A chill place to hang out with friends or kids, study, type, read, and enjoy delicious eating and drinking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Simple pricing - $3/4/5. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of places to charge devices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fancy restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff working really hard. We went back to order seconds and she said it happens a lot. Five stars all around. I would be a regular if I lived in the neighborhood.

I'm a simple iced coffee girlie.

Wanted to get some beignets and this was the closest cafe to serve them! I highly recommend coming here instead of the touristy areas as there was no line to order them. You can also get coffee and/or work here. Glad we came across this location to try out the beignets!

We went here because it was late and wanted to try beignets. Save your money - this is ain't it for beignets. Good coffee - with almond milk. They have table top pac man which is why they get an extra star on their review.

Great place for coffee and a beignet. We tried this place recently and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, the coffee was tasty and the beignets were delightful. Easy walk from our place in the Garden District. Check them out!

Ooh the beignet place is back! But with a new name and a new menu. The beignet spot has been closed since Ida. Now that's its open, it's no longer a franchise of the not famous chain. So it's reinventing itself with pastries and all the fancy coffee drinks. Good news - it still has the mini beignets. But no longer has the chocolate ones... Which is fine honestly. The beignets are perfect, light fluffy and yummy. Bad news for me... No iced tea but maybe that will be available eventually. The drink menu is much larger than before with a legit barista working, making all the fancy coffee drinks. Service was great. The space is open with high ceilings. It's still a liitle sparse but they're getting there. The spa water was a lovely touch.

In NOLA on a beignets tour, lol. This was the first stop, off to a strong start. Soft, fluffy and loaded with powdered sugar so the kids are happy. The decor in here is nice the people were clean and polite. Oh and the coffee was pretty awesome

Needed to have a Beignet and Cafe while in New Orleans. Cafe Du Monde is always busy.... Found this local place a few steps off of St Charles (near our hotel). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean place, friendly staff and delicious beignets and coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked there from our hotel and had a quiet morning of beignets and cafe before the bustle of the French Quarter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Can't go wrong with the bite size beignets and the frozen cafe au lait. A little hidden gem worth trying! Cafe Du Monte is delicious but this is a close second!

Really good (and big) cup of coffee and a beignet (also big) that was delicious and freshly cooked.

If I were rating atmosphere alone- 3 stars would be generous…read more I am rating product and service because adding "ambiance", would do those who work here and their product a disservice. It takes a while to get your order because of low staffing. That said, when you get it of course it's beautiful and tastes great. Sitting just around the corner from Bourbon St. and the hustle and bustle energy that you walk thorough to get here- walking in was disappointing. It's a large open space with seating- and it's QUIET. No background music. It gives late night diner vibes and honestly, that's too bad. Adding music, upbeat- doesn't have to sound like a club but music and having more energy between staff and customers would greatly improve the experience and I believe, increase business. If there were some Fats Domino or 90s R&B flowing out of speakers and staff were smiling, upbeat, dancing etc. it would give more "legendary" experience verses midnight diner vibe. That alone made me not want to come back. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol so stopping to sit for a well made artistic milkshake is a great option. The energy brings down the vibe and experience. Match the ambiance, service and vibe to your menu and 5 stars all day.

TL;DR - Despite how popular and what a tourist stop this is, you still HAVE to grab your beignets…read moreand coffee here, at least once. You do that, you may be stopping more than once. Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!

This is a must-do if it is your first time in NOLA. But are the beignets tasty? Only if you like…read moresugary powder over fried dough! Don't be deterred if you see a long line - that's for takeout only. The tables are first come, first served. Portions are quite large so good to share a plate (3 beignets) between 2 ppl. Service can take a while if they happen to be taking a break (that was the case for us). And you are expected to pay when the orders are delivered (cash only). Make sure to tip extra because it is one tough job.
