My daughter stopped for lunch ordered 2 tacos avocado and this taco which I ordered by saying poblano and butternut squash because I couldn't properly pronounce the name of it. My third bite in something fell out and it was meat. I wish I would have recognized that before I ate it. I let the server know and she told me that taco does have meat. I looked at the menu online and this is what it says fire-roasted poblanos, roasted butternut squash, crema, dos chiles salsa, cotija. I wasn't mad just disappointed I was served a meat taco. I am mad at the gaslighting. I can take responsibility for not checking the taco before eating it, but I do know how to read. Our waiter was so peppy and helpful, the veggie taco selection was good, and their salsas were delicious. We got a three salsa and guac flight. My favorite was their avocado flavored mild salsa. Perfect! After taking a header at the end of my ride my husband offered to help me brush the dirt off with a margarita. It was hard to choose from all of the tasty choices, but it was easy to drink. Service was warm, friendly, and personable. I appreciated the helpful context for choosing the perfect refresher. We ordered tacos, chips, and a tasty trio of salsa. The margaritas were so delicious that I ordered another. I enjoyed my drinks and lunch and playing passenger princess and I forgot all about the painful scrapes and bruises and will be sure to stop in again the next time I head North to ride. This year one of their offerings is corn on the cob pieces that are roasted and rolled in cheese and spiced, loved this. I still have a problem with the tortillas. They fall apart after one bite, if you even get that far. Then the meal becomes fork driven. I like to actually pick up my tacos to eat them. With such a talented chef, can't this problem be solved? Gosh I am so glad for Yelp and finding this place. Wow. What incredible food after a day of traveling! My husband laughed about me wanting Mexican food after coming from California (where we have some of the best). Well, California is in some steep competition because their short rib tacos were TO DIE FOR, as was their KALE SALAD (yes, I ordered a Kale salad too because I'm a health nut but also because I love Kale). I'll warn you, it's HUGE, but I finished all of it. I also loved the staff and how attentive everyone was. I am fairly certain the bartender was also the owner and he was very kind too. This is an excellent taqueria with very delicious, inventive tacos and burritos. Any taco you can also get as a burrito (took me a while to figure that one out). One star is for the warm water. I would love to put a food review but since we never were served it's impossible. We sat for 20 minutes with no drinks, chips etc. the waitress "ran by" and said she would be right back and we never saw her again, not at our table anyway. When we left she saw us but would not even look at us. Super bummed about the lack of service. This was our second attempt at eating here. First time we came they were closed when it was a week day at dinner time. Should mention the place was not packed. There were open tables all around us. Tex-mex that often feels hurried. I consider most of the food, especially the burritos,about the same as stopping at Chipotle for 1.5-2x the price. Great margaritas and friendly folks. Also love the Queso Fundido. read more

We ordered the $13 taco special. It was supposed to come with two tacos, rice and beans.. when it was finally served to us the rice and the beans came together in a small bowl. Each of us got our own bowl and much to our surprise. The rice was half cooked another words it was still raw and because they put the rice mixed in with the beans. It was hard to separate then I took one bite into the tacos and the tortillas tasted raw , they might as well have been warmed up in the microwave. My best advice would be leave the tortillas on the stove or the grill for longer than three minutes to get well cooked and the salsa tasted too sour with our chips. We were also told that there were supposed to be salsa in our tacos that was supposed to be spicy no salsa . This is our first time in Colorado. This was disappointing kind of makes me a scared to go to other Mexican restaurants and find the same mistakes however, one thing I do you know for a fact, if you go down to old town, Arvada and go to a little Italian place called mangiami you will definitely be treated like royalty over there with the high energy that is so awesome and the food is even so delicious along with their delicious sangrias sorry Mojo but this doesn't cut it read more

Got off to a rough start because the kitchen had messed up the order at the table next to us and our server was preoccupied. Once that was resolved everything was super. They have terere which is a flavored South American ice tea, try the hibiscus and mint. Ordered chips with the mild house salsa, my wife liked the thick consistency. My wife had the mojo bowl which she ate completely. The star of the meal was the pollo burrito smothered in red sauce. Not only was it huge but it tasted fabulous. Could have been a tad warmer but I didn't want to give it back. Our server was Joy, who told us she was new. She was delightful and did a great job. Why is ZERO STARS NOT AN OPTION???? Negative 10 stars. This location is an inept joke. Our table of 2 plus a child waited over an hour to get our food while AT LEAST 5 other tables that showed up AFTER US got their food, ATE, and left before we even got our food. The Manager tried giving us the excuse that they were busy, but if they were busy EVERYONE would be waiting, not just our small party. When I mentioned that, her response was "Well, it depends on what kind of taco you order". LMAO....braindead... This is a great concept for a modern Mexican restaurant. The foods and flavors were fresh and unique. I appreciate the fact that there were many vegetarian choices. The service could not have been more fast, friendly and more efficient. We enjoyed the salsa trio, I had two tacos rice and beans, DH had carnitas enchiladas. A few house margaritas topped of our excellent dining experience. On our way to Estes Park for the day we ran on to this little gem. We are both taco lovers and pleasantly surprised with the food and service. We had our dog with us and they more than welcomed dogs on the patio. They had a dog bowl for water ready and waiting which was a nice touch. Our waiter brought out a salsa trio for my boyfriend since he loves spicy salsas. The chips were excellent and fresh and we had no problem eating all of it. We had a fish and pork taco that were amazing and not like your typical taco. I had the shredded beef tostada on special and it was served chilled, which I am not used to, but it was very delicious.
