Whether is a pre-release, weekly locals, or tournaments, Gurpy will hook it up and make sure that you have a great time. I tell everyone that you'll be spoiled silly at times and the energy Gurpy brings is definitely infectious. Good vibes all around. I have not attended but I know there are opening parties for Pokemon and trade nights as well. One Piece, Lorcana, Pokemon, Digimon, Riftbound, and more continue to build and grow this community. The place overall play space and walking space is pretty spacious and clean. Parking can be a bit rough at times during big events overlapping but this is a player's store for sure where you'll get some good deals from here and there but more importantly have fun while participating. read more

Very nice hobby shop. Clean, bright, modern; overall, a good atmosphere with helpful staff. The location is visible from the freeway, but not much other retail shops around the area. Parking can be tricky; it's just along the street, so just park further away down the block or around the corner and walk the short distance. Not the best location other than the visibility. There are designated areas to break and record it, which is a nice touch. The store does a good job of that, catering to content creation. It really feels like the direction of the hobby is headed even more in that direction - more emphasis on live breaks and/or recorded content. A lot of graded singles (basically, all PSA from what I browsed through and recall), which isn't really my thing. I will say there's limited boxed products, especially for me who prefers different choices (my personal preference). Prices are a tad high, but that's also the nature of the industry nowadays with Topps too. In general, the store presents a great atmosphere, helpful staff, an up-to-date approach towards content creation and graded cards, but not a ton of variety. I will say there are a lot of different products out there...but yeah, not a real deep selection of choices. read more

We've been coming to Mojobreak for the last few years before they expanded the store. Never had a bad experience here. We usually come for Pokemon TGC and Magic TCG. They have gotten way busier now they've expanded and have some rip parties which is cool! read more

Went to Mojo Break ready to spend money and left wondering how this place operates. Picked out a Pokémon slab from the display case, had an employee bring it to the register, and right when I'm about to pay, suddenly it "can't be sold" because it was supposedly purchased online earlier that morning. So why is it still in the case being shown to customers? Either your inventory system is completely off, or you realized it was UNDER MARKET and pulled it last second. Neither is a good look. Further investigating when I got home, I checked the website and there is no way to purchase Pokemon on their website mojobreak.com or eBay account. On top of that, getting help was a chore. Staff were sitting on computers while I had to track someone down just to open a case. Not exactly a welcoming experience. (Check the cameras 1140am) Overall, disorganized, inattentive, and a pretty poor customer experience. Management should seriously take a look at how things are being run here. (PSA) was great though 5 stars for them. I'll be back to PSA, just Mohobreak won't be getting my business. read more

Finally made the drive and visited MojoBreaks. I watch them on WhatNot and decided to visit in person. There was a Pokemon event going on when I went but was still very welcoming in. The place has amazing lighting to capture your cards while ripping. My partner and I were walking around and the employees were extremely helpful and even educated us when we asked questions. As a female, I felt this was a HUGE positive. A female in the hoppy gotten gets overlooked. Not here. Prices were on point, employees were helpful and the environment was amazing. One time there will never go back until I do a PSA Submission. first off there is no parking and today they had security blocking off 3-4 parking spots that people could have used. I get it this was a big day for them, but it sucked to park 1/2 mile away and then get there to be in a big line for PSA Submission. The store was too hot and it sucked as I had to wait 30 minutes as I picked the wrong $#$ line and got stuck behind a dude that wasn't organized and had a ton of cards. I complained as 5-6 people in the other line progressed as I was stuck behind the jerk who wasn't prepared. I mentioned to the PSA guy who sort of apologized and the rude security guard told me "it worked for everyone else jerk" Really, at this point I had decided I would spend zero even if I found something that i wanted. The store was no at all inviting and as I looked at the cards they had they were at or above high Beckett prices. The box product I can buy 25% cheaper at What's on Second Sports cards were I am welcomed. I will go back to drop off cards but I would never spend a penny in that store. And maybe a hint, when customers are stuck in lines waiting an hour to drop off cards and have to walk 20 minutes after parking be a little nicer. read more

Mainly came here for the PSA drop-off, which is pretty convinient as you do not have to package your cards. Just submit the form online, make your payment and put the cards in a sleeve and card saver. Come to the counter with your QR code and hand the cards over. Store has many slabs on display and has a separate smaller room with tables and other TCG products like Magic, Pokémon and some Weiss Schwarz. read more

This place can be seen off the 101 Freeway so you can't miss it. It offers mostly sports cards with a very limited Pokémon selection. There's tables to play games, televisions to watch sports, and even a PSA submission center. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the prices seem above average for your average consumer. If you go here, make sure your credit card is zero balance with a high credit limit lol. read more

I usually go to card shops in SF for Pokemon events, but wanted to try going to a more local shop. I'm pretty new to playing and still trying to find my fit in the community. I saw there was an announcement for a league challenge on 4/18 at 3pm at Mojo. No other details other than date and time. I've bought some packs from the shop before (which I have to call out is always priced at or above market, never MSRP). I arrived at 3pm and spent a few minutes just trying to get someone's attention so I can register. They had already told me registration was over and that they wouldn't add me (even though the tournament hadn't started). If I had known I needed to show up earlier, I would've. The other shops I go to start registration at the announced time, and even if folks show up late, they always find a way to get them included. I was already hesitant because $30 is quite steep for a challenge, but I was willing to give it a shot anyways. It really is a bummer since I was genuinely looking forward to this. It's not just the fact that I couldn't play, it's how it was handled. I'll be steering away from the shop moving forward. read more

Love this shop, i have only been in a couple of times but every time i come by the staff working the front is super nice, the only reason im not giving 5 stars is because i would like to see singles as in sports cards graded or raw for sale. also selling your cards is kinda a hassle with having to set up an appointment (i totally understand though) on the flip side GREAT selection and prices on sealed boxes, the shop is also very nicely set up and very organized. i have also had some encounters with the mojo break employees at local card shows, they are all very nice and love to talk to you! i would recommend! read more

This is the kind of place I like. Well organized, easy to find the products they have, and great customer service. Not to mention the prices are reasonable. Most things are priced at or below market value (not to say that market value is always affordable). You can order from them online also and pick it up in store to make sure they have what you're looking for. PRODUCTS: As the name suggests, they sell sports cards primarily. Baseball, hockey, basketball and football. But they also sell non-sport card collectibles and games. They have a great selection of Pokemon (even some Japanese language ones) as well as Lorcana and Star Wars Trading Cards. SERVICE: Service is excellent. One of the guys there helped me out and was quick to help me with prices and how to look everything up. Super helpful and friendly and really knows his stuff. Plus, like I said, everything was well organized and easy to find. The place is clean unlike so many similar stores. They obviously care about what they do. I wish all places were like this. Here is a very recent example: The Pokemon 25th Celebration products have just been released for pre-order. You can preorder the Pokemon Celebrations Elite Trainer Box here for $99,95 before taxes. Retail is $49.99 and you can get a box from your local Target or Gamestop. Pokemon Celebrations Deluxe Pin Collection at $29.95 when retail is $19.99. Pokemon Celebrations Dark Sylveon V Collection Box here is $39.95. I had my friend in Arizona pick one up for me at a local target for $20, along with a Charizard and Pikachu box for $20 each as well. The Celebrations mini tins you can get at your local target for $8.99. Here is it $139.95 for a box of what, 8? BRUH. Guys, this new set will get reprinted to oblivion so please just wait out this craziest and do not waste money on at local scalper shops. This is worse than buying from regular scalpers because at least they get it for retail price. These places get the products for below retail and do us like this. All the products for sale are in well lit glass cases and prices can be searched via QR codes. Great selection of all major sports, mostly hobby products.
