We stopped in just for a light snack, we chose street corn (off the cob) and chips and salsa. The chips we thin and crispy and the salsa had good flavor it just needed a little salt. My boyfriend and i just moved here from San Diego and we had heard about Mojos tacos & margaritas from a few people so we decided to try it this past Saturday. Because we are new in town and don't even have a car yet, we took an uber to come and try out this restaurant. I order the fish taco & birria & my boyfriend order the brisket taco and the fish taco. We asked for both of the tacos to be a combo so that we could get chips and salsa. We also asked for a side of large queso. We ordered two margs & 2 large negro modelos. The food came out before the drinks. She brought out the wrong tacos for me, but for my boyfriend his were right the first time. Then he waited for mine to come out and by that time both of our food was cold. We mentioned that we also ordered chips salad and queso and paid for two combos. She took about 5 mins to bring out the chips and queso and said we needed to go request a receipt because she wasn't seeing we ordered that. Our bill was $75 by the way. By this time the drinks still have not come out and we have a poor taste in our mouth due to the horrible customer service. When our drinks do come out they brought 1 large beer and one small beer but we ordered two large. I am truly disappointed in our experience here and really wanted this to be our go to place since we love Mexican food and tacos. I don't recommend and will never go back. read more

Stopped by here on my most recent trip to Nashville as it's one of my friend's favorites. I opted for a chicken quesadilla and added a side of rice. I also added a side of sour cream as the quesadilla doesn't come with it. I found this a little odd as I've never had a quesadilla not come with sour cream but it is what it is. I liked the sauce that it came with but not quite as much as good old SC. The chicken in the quesadilla had great flavor and there was plenty of cheese as well making it really enjoyable. The mexican rice was fine. Not super flavorful but it was nice to have to bulk up the meal. The main thing I didn't love about my visit was the seating options. Many of the chairs are my nightmare chair. The ones that are metal on the bottom and have metals arms that squish you in from the sides. As a larger person with wide hips these are so incredibly uncomfortable and painful. I was sitting at the front edge and then we thankfully found a spot elsewhere with some better chairs but wow those initial chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. All of that being said, I quite enjoyed my meal here and would return on future visits. read more

Been meaning to go here for a few weeks now, but never have had the time to go while visiting franklin. Long story short: great tacos and great meal deals! For $11, you can get 2 really good-sizes tacos and chips and salsa. I went with the brisket taco and the fish taco and both exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I didn't know that and ordered three tacos which came in a medium size flour tortilla I wish they weren't as good as they were because I ended up finishing all three lol. We've been to the Factory a lot, and this place always looks busy. Usually, that's a good sign. So, we went to stand in the to-the-door line to order our food. There wasn't a seat open, and this was Monday at lunch time. Again, a good sign, and seating usually works itself out, so we weren't stressed out about it. So, we see two seats open up at the bar, and I told my wife she could go ahead and sit down, and I'd take care of ordering. After a few minutes, she saw the bartender taking orders, so she texted me to come sit down and we'd just handle everything there. Great! That's easy. So, we sit down, and the bartender is obviously up to his neck in taking care of the people at the bar, and it's obvious he could use some help...but none comes. Another few seats open up and people sit down. He still hasn't acknowledged us. Hasn't said a word. He goes to the new couple at the corner, takes their order and gets their drinks. Keep in mind, he never stops moving, so the polite hold-up-my-hand-a-little to get his attention is getting nowhere. I don't want to be rude, and I don't want to interrupt his flow. The seats next to us opens up, and two young women come to sit down. He makes a B-line to them, gets their order, and starts making their drinks. Finally (it's been close to 15 minutes now) he looks at us and says, "Hey guys, how's it going?" and my wife says "You've taken two orders from people who arrived here after us, so we'd like to place ours, too." No apology. No customer service shown. He keeps making drinks, and then finally asks what we want. We give him our order and our drink order. My wife didn't have her ID on her, I had mine. He said, "Sorry, state law, I can't serve her a drink without an ID. We have to ID everybody." We're in our mid-40's. I have white hair in my beard, and there's no way we look under age. But we comply without complaining. My wife googled the law, turns out, it's not state law. Probably just corporate policy, which is fine. But, another man and his elderly mother come up next to us, order beers, and he never asks, never checks for ID. The man had his out and ready, and just had to put it away. That was definitely frustrating. Our food came. I had the Baja Fish Taco and the Carnitas taco. My wife had the Hot Chicken Taco, and the Chorizo/Potato taco. The fish taco was chewy, and the batter was too thick. Carnitas and other tacos were passable. Chips were good, salsa was scarce. He came back once more to check on us, asked if everything was okay, we signaled that it wasn't, and he just moved on. Sure, he's probably stressed, but he made no attempt to help. This was our first trip in, and frankly, I don't think we'll be in a rush to go back. Kind of a shame, too. We like supporting local. read more

Mojos, I love you. I'm a Californian transplant and you've made my life so much better in Tennessee. I have two bits of feedback. #1: whenever I eat at the factory my food is ice cold. It's so good that I still eat it, but it doesn't feel made to order or hot by any means. #2: I'm super bummed you got rid of the Maine Root soda options. It'd be awesome if you sold Mexican Cokes or Olipop as an alternative to the new soda robot that you installed. For anyone reading this. Do not let my feedback discourage you from eating Mojos. Fantastic taco/marg place in Factory at Franklin! It can get really busy during peak hours, but the line moves fast. You order at the counter, and then they will bring the food to you. I've tried a variety of tacos and have enjoyed each one, usually two per order. These are not the street tacos, but rather the larger taco style. More similar to Velvet Taco than authentic taco. There's outdoor seating as well that can accommodate big groups. I highly recommend splitting an order of the chips and salsa (feeds 2-3 people) instead of doing the combo meal (two tacos + chips) since the chips are very generously portion and a better deal. read more

Came for lunch on a Friday and this place was packed. Stood in line for about 10 minutes. As others have mentioned during a rush, it's too bad only one person is taking orders when there are two registers. My friend and I both ordered two tacos; fried avocado and Korean cauliflower. We both loved them, and as an occasional meat eater, I would still only order these again because they are flavorful and unique. One thing I didn't expect was that they are served on a flour tortilla and I assumed it would be corn, but I think the flour tortilla actually makes it taste even better, and allows for a larger taco and more fillings. Two tacos were plenty and kept me full for a while, but should you want to add a creative side they have chips and salsa, street corn, beans, rice, and chipotle slaw. I also like that they have a bar with signature cocktails, and not just beer & wine. I will definitely be back to try their margaritas during happy hour. read more

Great find today at the Factory in Franklin. Very busy at lunch on a Saturday with few tables available, but completely worth the wait for one to open. I got the taco combo for $11 that comes with 2 tacos, chips & salsa. My wife got a taco and queso and my son got quesadilla with chips. As far as the food is concerned: good portion size, very tasty, good flavors, fresh, and worthy of the price. The chips are freshly fried but quite a few were underdone. The queso was excellent and the salsa definitely had a roasted flavor but came in a small ramekin that was too small for the chips unless you break them into pieces. I tried the brisket taco with slaw and a carnita taco with green salsa. The brisket taco was the absolute best part of the meal. Excellent flavor. The carnita taco was a tad dry but still good. Even though this place has been here for years, hubby and I finally visited for the first time. In prior visits, they were either closed or closing and had cut the line off. On a Thursday night around 7, the line was about 15-20 people deep, not the best start, but we stuck it out. It's funny the group in front of us ignored signs and all 6 of them were playing with the cacti in the planters - and then two more from their party came up and rudely asked us to move aside so they could join them. Again, not a great start. When we got to the counter, we ordered 1 fried avocado puffy taco, 1 steak fajita taco, 1 fish taco, 1 fried chicken taco, fries and 1 soft drink. That was $32 before tip, and of course the credit card check out recommended starting at a 15% tip. Before I get to the food, I have to comment here. Our country, and the hospitality industry especially, has just gone tip crazy. I had to stand to wait in line for 15 minutes, ordered my food at a kiosk which was overpriced. Then tip as if I had had table service the entire time. I'm just over it. Our food was ready so quickly, the food runner was actually following us as we walked through the restaurant trying to find a clean table. That's interesting to me. How could those four very different tacos all have been prepared when we ordered them, and yet they are ready literally two minutes later? The runner was actually a little bit rude, hovering very closely and clearly anxious to drop or try and run. So glad we tipped more than five dollars for that. Now I will say, the tacos were all quite tasty in very different ways. I did not find them Bland as some other reviews had, but I am a spice wimp. I'm glad we visited for the experience, and it was good, but I'm sorry... At those prices I would much rather have gone to one of our three or four favorite Mexican restaurants with proper table service and had an overall more enjoyable evening. read more

Stopped in for a Friday night dinner. First off, the tacos here are delicious. That being said, the experience could use some work. We waited in line for 33 minutes (I timed it cause I was getting hangry) which is ridiculous. There was one single register open and a huge line. Why would you not have two open on a busy Friday night? I almost left but after being there so long I was committed. Once the nightmare of ordering was through the tacos came pretty quick. I had the chicken fajita and loved it. It did need tons of extra hot sauce though as I like my Mexican spicy. The fish taco was good but kinda dry so I smothered that in hot sauce as well. The combo comes with chips and salsa. Chips are good but the salsa was very small, I needed more than a thimble size. I could never come at lunch if it takes this long to order. Of course we started with chips and queso and a side of salsa. They are known for street tacos, this is what we ordered next. I ordered a fried avocado taco (pictured)....o-m-g was it the best taco I've ever had. Again the sauces and fresh ingredients, MAKE IT! They have an option to get the shell "fluffy" (fried)...do it! You won't be disappointed. My second choice was the fish taco and this was recommend by our bartender who used to live in southern Cali and said it's better than any he ever had there.
