Authentic Venezuelan in the Nashville suburbs? Yes, it is so. Not all of the staff here speak English but the gal taking orders does and the head chef / owner do. And that was plenty! We had WAY TOO MUCH FOOD. A serious case of eyes bigger than belly. The cheese empanadas were delish. Super hot outside and with a delightful semi-sweet cheese filling. Served with a green dipping sauce, these are three bits and then gone. Yum. Chips and salsa and guacamole with warm salty chips and the slightly spicy dips. I ate too much. How do I know I ate too much? Because then my main course arrived. The Wilco Burger which was an angus beef patty, a flattened chicken breast, a couple slices of bacon, tomatoes, cheese, a toss of potato sticks and then both cilantro lime dressing and ketchup. The service was ok. Took about 35 mins to get my wrap and one beef empanada. The empanada was flavorful but the steak in my wrap was way overcooked. I wanted to say something at the 15 minute mark, but I didn't wanna be rude. it ended up being like beef jerky that was not edible. I do wanna try it again. We are from south Florida and we are trying all of the empanadas in the area. We started with the plantains. They were okay. They had a little sweetness but I like mine a little more sweet. We got the mini empanada basket as well. There were 5 in the basket and they were filled with cheese. They were delicious. I will say that all of their empanadas were fried. My favorite one from South Florida was baked so I'm still on the hunt for those. These were still very tasty and had great flavor. Then we shared the lunch special which was a hot chicken arepa. It was delicious! And we had the empanada basket. My boyfriend liked the ground beef one the best because he said it reminded him of a Jamaican beef patty. I liked the chicken one the best. Went to Wilco Fusion Grill during Nashville's burger week of 2023 and of course got the burger combo. Service was fantastic. The crew offered us free chips and salsa as we waited for our burgers. The food came out pretty fast so they weren't trying to make up for anything. Fountain drinks are full your own. We had a few burgers during burger week and this one was my favorite! Decent amount of parking in the strip mall that the restaurant sits in. Fun environment and clean bathrooms. read more

Well-done burger (ordered rare), bacon was mostly uncooked white fat, soggy under-salted fries, 20 min wait for my to-go order. Threw away most of it. If I could rate zero stars, I'd still give one star for the pleasant person who was going to walk my order outside. (She'd seen me waiting outside. Place needs better ventilation.) While car shopping in Cool Springs, I hopped on Yelp and searched for a new lunch spot. Wilco popped up and.. SCORE! Upon entering we were greeted by a smiling face, who we would soon find out was the owner, Claudia. Claudia was very informative as we all had at least one question about the menu. Everything was good and full of flavor. I enjoyed the Shredded Chicken Empanada the most. The steak on the salad had a good bite to it. The Hot Chicken Arepa had a kick to it but not too overwhelming while still being packed with flavor. The rice and beans were the most average thing we ordered, and that's perfectly okay. Wilco Fusion Grill, formerly known as Dushi, is a fast casual, fresh ingredient, Latin fusion spot located in a shopping center on Carothers Way in the Franklin/Cool Springs area...and it is delish! Popped in a Tuesday evening and after scoping the menu which features a wide variety of items from hamburgers, plantain sliders, burritos, tacos, kebabs, arepas, empanadas and more, I landed on the Chicken Cowboy Arepas with rice and beans plus an order of (2) empanadas (1 shredded beef/1 mashed potato and queso). The arepas were stacked high with well seasoned chicken, pico, shredded gouda and white cheese then coated with a cilantro lime sauce...and as a bonus they were served with a chimichurri on the side to add at your liking. The arepas were fried to perfection and turned out to be the perfect vessel for all that chicken and cheesy goodness! The rice and beans were standard, but were well seasoned. The empanadas were excellent and weirdly enough, I will say that I enjoyed the mashed potato and queso one more than the shredded beef! I was surprised too! However, the beef one was slightly over-fried, which made the outside tougher than expected and the inside a little dryer than desired. I just made sure to dip this one extra in the sauce. Service was stellar as well. The counter staff was friendly and helpful from entry to exit, and the line staff was even interacting with guests! Overall, great visit to Wilco Fusion Grill! One I enjoyed so much I decided to get my partner a burrito on the way out just so he could try this spot! This has become a go to lunch spot for some of the guys in my office. Every time I've been in Wilco Fusion I have had a great experience. The food is authentic and made to order. You might have to wait a few minutes to get your food, but it is well worth it. They have won Nashville Burger Week several times and I love trying the new burgers when they come out. When we got there it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They made suggestions and we loved everything they recommended. We got: - Complimentary chips and salsa. Who doesn't love chips?! It was a nice offerings. The only thing is the chips were on the hard side. - Shrimp Tacos with grilled shrimp instead of fried. These were so yummy! Some of the best shrimp tacos I've had. The chipotle sauce paired with the spicy green salsa was perfect. Beware if you don't like anything too spicy because the green salsa brings the heat! - Cowboy steak arepas. This was our first time trying arepas. I feel like the photo made the them look soft, but they were particularly hard to the bite. The filling was great, but the hard outside made my teeth hurt. I think if I went back again, I would go for the loaded fries instead - Steak kebabs. SO GOOD! The meat was tender, the char war perfect, and the chimichurri sauce was so tasty. Highly recommend. This used to be my favorite go to place when dining in Brentwood. I stopped for lunch this week and learned it's under new ownership. They no longer accept my 10% discount card (given to me by the ex-owners), soft drinks are now sold by the can so if you want a re-fill you're out of luck), and the complimentary chips and salsa have gone away. Sad because the salsa was excellent. I ordered the Wilco Fusion salad specifically because it comes with a fruit/nut mix that makes the whole salad. I immediately noticed it was missing. I got up to inspect the menu which still shows the fruit mix. I inquired about it and was told they no longer offer the salad with the fruit mix. (Then change your menu! I would have ordered something different!) To make matters worse, he charged me for added chicken which I didn't even order. The clincher was the 3% added to the bill for using my credit card. Basically, new owner is cutting corners and taking away every nuance of what made this restaurant special. I may go back for the Cowboy Arepas, but I won't be ordering the Wilco salad again and my frequency will not be what it used to be. Sad, because prior to this visit I would have rated it 5 star. read more

Wilco Fusion Grill is a super cute restaurant with incredibly great and friendly customer service. The food was very good, though not as good as I was expecting based on all of the stellar reviews they've received. My wife had the tacos, which come in sets of three. They were very good. I ordered the "Hot Shot" burger. One could argue a burger isn't the right thing to order at a restaurant that focuses on Latin fusion cuisine. However, the Hot Shot burger did have a bit of a Latin theme to it, so I gave it a try. The meat wasn't super tasty, and the rest of the ingredients didn't add as much flavor or spice as I was hoping for. Good, but not amazing. We will definitely go back to try some of the other options on the menu, as they do have quite a lot to choose from. They also have many gluten-free options, and the staff was knowledgeable about which items were (or could be modified to be) gluten-free. Honestly, we'll go back just because of the staff being so great, and the menu having many options, even if the options we tried weren't as tasty as I was hoping for. read more

Tucked away in a strip mall in Cool Springs, this unique twist on the typical Latin fare gets oddly high ratings, perhaps owing more to in location than actual taste. You'll find Colombian, Venezuelan, Mexican, Spanish, and Mexican influences, hence the fusion. The tequeños make a decent appetizer, doughy bread sticks traditionally filled with queso blanco. Unfortunately, the cold cheesy interior was not the melted, gooey goodness for which I had hoped. But the cilantro lime ranch sauce salvaged the experience. The empanadas are a popular item here, pleasantly soft turnovers filled with melted cheese, but a bit too salty for my preference. It seems the empanadas at Nashville's La Cucharita are noticeably better, but these are tolerable. Our highlight of the evening was definitely the cowboy arepa. Small bits of grilled beef (allegedly steak) were topped with pico de gallo, Gouda cheese, and lime ranch sauce between two flat patties made from ground maize accompanied by chimichurri. The dish was a pretty good one and perhaps the one thing that would lure me back again. Wilco Fusion is unquestionably an enjoyable spot. Just don't expect the nearly 5-star flavors it's purported to produce. read more

As far as a fast casual dining restaurant goes, Dushi is fantastic. I hate that they had to open just before this unprecedented year, but it didnt hamper how great the food was. Food: We ordered a chicken wrap and a Cuban. The chicken wrap was delicious and I loved the pineapple mustard on it. It tasted extremely fresh and was warm but not scalding. The Cuban was easily one of the best sandwiches I've tried. The ham & bacon were fresh from the grill and thick cut. I was also a big fan of the hot steak fries. The restaurant is rather small, but it's mostly a lunch business so cant fault them for that. The two people working were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I suggest giving Dushi a try. I know I'll be headed back to Dushi for some more delicious sandwiches soon. read more

I just got water because what i really wanted to drink was almost $4... I can get alcoholic drinks for less than that at places at happy hour...They also had desserts of that day that i was tempted to try, but the bill was already going to be so high, i decided I'll get that on a day when I'm by myself... This place is small and was packed... The line reached outside the door... If it continues to be so popular with business, then they'll be forced to move a larger location... We got the last seats available, so all others in line had to get their food to go because there was nowhere to sit... The service could have been more speedy and frequent... It took awhile to get our food, and i had to ask for a second round of the complimentary chips... Again, i think this was due to an overwhelming crowd... Oh, speaking of chips, don't think you're going to get portions like you do at most Mexican restaurants... They are pretty stingy with their chip portion size... It's just enough to make you crave your entree more because it's somewhat of a tease, definitely not enough for 4 people to share... Wow. We just stopped in on a whim to check out what this place offered. Right away we were greeted warmly and we clearly showed it was our first time as we were looking at the menu. The lady working the register enthusiastically said, "Here, let me explain our menu." I wish I'd gotten her name because her customer service was so off the charts awesome. Like, so attentive and clearly proud of what they served. Then we got our food. I got the fish tacos, my hub got the mixed kebabs. I wish I'd taken a photo. Plated with love! On their menu they had photos of their various dishes rotating through. A lot of times those kinds of photos are so styled and then what you get barely resembles it. Not this time! It was ready for its close up! And the taste...I wasn't sure I'd like mango with the slaw on my fish tacos, but holy smokes the flavor combo was off the charts amazing. So fresh. My husband inhaled his plate so I didn't get to taste his but he loved it. Speaking of fresh, so was the salsa. My only complaint was the little container it came in. Wilco Fusion has something different then anybody else, creatively crafted food using multiple flavors and textures. Obviously somebody with a foodie background creates the menus and is training the line cooks how to prepare the food as it is very good. A couple basic Croatians that will correct itself with time is the timing on service to the tables. Nobody had food at the same time and the proteins were all over cooked. Takes a bit of time to learn your grill heat so we will definately give it another try in a month or so. Secondly they need a different set up for busing your own plates as the tiny area is too small and it is very messy. I had to wash after bc of the food mess everywhere.
