Amazing Chicken Yee Haw Cutlet with Bacon!! Mmmmm

What a cutlet! Yee haw! Great crunch, flavor and perfect chew. Many times a thin cutlet can be to chewy, Not here! I love the fries that came with the cutlet however they took a back seat and stayed on the plate because I needed to finish the cutlet! Highly recommend for the food, quick service and friendly staff with a perfect suggestion!

Recently stopped in w friend, Demanding Dan, for breakfast. Ample parking (although on the day we went, Windsor's version of Field of Dreams almost caused the HUGE parking lot behind the building to overflow). Anyway, bright, clean, airy place. We ordered at the counter. DD, who laughs in the face of cholesterol tests, opted for biscuits w sausage gravy. Since the CBH was housemade, I had it w two eggs over and rye toast. My CBH was delicious, w numerous chunks throughout. The owner / cook, Steve, does an excellent job preparing the food to order. My rye, incidentally, looked like it came through a panini press, and really hit the spot. Strawberry jam came in a little bowl, which was a nice touch. DD, who legend has it, once criticized Mother Teresa for being too ornate, raved about his food. All-in-all, we were both well satisfied. Great food, good service, fair prices. And kinda cool that every table has a different "themed" salt and pepper shaker set. If Steve is the brains behind the operation, Kaitlyn is the beauty. They work well together. DD rates 5 stars. I rate 4.5. My quibble is that pancakes are nowhere on the menu.

"Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you I wanna love you so bad till I don't know what to do" (Muddy Waters) The Day Hill Business Park has seen a ton of activity and is becoming quite a nice destination, with the amazing Dudleytown Brewery, the Day Hill Dome recreation complex, and plans for hotels and more. It's also become a nice place to stop and eat with a growing number of food court-type options. The great little Vietnamese restaurant Pho Van is there, the ever-dependable Blimpie is there, and now rising from the ashes of the failed Dunkin Donuts and Day Hill Coffee and Market is the three-month old and very impressive MOJO'S. It's gorgeous inside, so hat's off to their design team to completely transform what used to be a sad and forlorn space into a bright cheery and very inviting open dining room with eye catching colorful artwork on the walls, country style furniture and a big front window accented with lots of plants. Even my coffee cup and breakfast plate were gorgeous. I wasn't super hungry, so just ordered three scrambled eggs and a coffee for around $9. Now, had I been hungrier, I'd have had a tough time deciding on what to eat. Their breakfast menu includes a breakfast burrito, omelets, a BEC sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy, Corned Beef Hash, Avocado Toast, Breakfast Tacos, Overnight Oats, baked goods and the very intriguingly named El Tigre. Now, between you and me I definitely would have said "El Tigre, por favor" because (let's be real) how could I refuse this beauty of "scrambled eggs, pork carnitas, bacon, onions, poblanos, pepper jack cheese, avocado crema, cheese, green salsa, on a tortilla". Sounds like food for a few days at $12! By the way, gotta give a shout out to their music programmer. I loved the Motown heavy playlist - the Temps, James Brown, Smoky Robinson, and the Supremes. MOJO'S is open Monday through Saturday and serves breakfast until 11:00 when they transition to a lunch menu with burgers, cutlet sandwiches, tacos, steak and cheese sandwiches, falafels, salads, and soups. Lunches run from $10-$14. The service was fantastic, and I really enjoyed my visit. I worked in Windsor for 14 years, and lunch options were pretty limited, so it's great to see this new business on busy Day Hill Road. PRO TIP #1 Who's MOJO named for? Easy - an owner's dog! PRO TIP #2 MOJO'S doesn't have a website, but they are very active on Facebook and Instagram.

I recently heard about this spot opening and decided to check it out for breakfast. The space is open, bright and inviting. You feel extremely comfortable once you're inside and that's mainly because of the friendly and inviting staff. My partner and I perused the menu and I decided on breakfast tacos (with egg whites) and a latte. my partner opted for corn beef hash with eggs and a coffee. Both of us were thoroughly happy with our meals. I was especially pleased with my breakfast tacos. They were exceptional! I'm already planning on returning, and looking forward to trying more of the menu items.

Great smash burger for lunch at Mojo's. Everything tasted so fresh and I loved the pickles on it. Very affordable too. Thanks so much!

Have gone back in twice now since my original review. I was lucky enough to talk to the owner as well! He's a really cool guy that's very easy to talk to. I tried the Strawberry Banana smoothie and it was delicious and well priced! Today they had cupcakes and i just couldn't resist trying one. I wish i had a photo because not only was it super tasty, but super cute too! I definitely recommend checking them out whether it's for a sit down occasion or just a quick stop for some baked goods! (April 28, 2024) (Original review from Jan. 24, 2024) Got French Toast from here today! Really good and the place has good decoration and music playing. The staff was kind and even checked to make sure i wanted whipped cream for my toast. I will be going back again soon!

There's always a little pressure when a dinner is part reunion, part catch-up, part "please let the restaurant be good enough to match the occasion," and Republic absolutely came through. The whole evening was fantastic. Shane took great care of us and struck that perfect balance of being attentive, personable, and making everything feel easy. He helped the night flow in a way that let us relax, laugh, catch up, and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling rushed. The dinners across the table were a hit, but my Moroccan lamb special was next-level. It was one of those meals where you take a bite and immediately stop mid-conversation because your full attention has been redirected to the plate. The flavors were rich, layered, and so unexpectedly good that I'm still thinking about it. Everyone loved their meal, the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening, and the prices felt very reasonable, especially for how good the whole experience was. All in, Republic Gastro Pub gave us exactly what you hope for in a night like that: great food, great service, lots of laughs, and a dinner worthy of the reunion

The drinks in particular were very well balanced and thoughtfully curated. Ambience was cozy and upscale, with some prices to suggest this restaurant may be better suited for special occasions rather than your regular hang. Service was just-ok. No complaints but nothing special either, and the table near the door that we sitting at was probably near a heating vent because it was a little uncomfortably warm. Overall, yes, I would go back to dine here and I would recommend Republic Gastropub.

The Mahi Mahi tacos started with a strip of the meat rather than little chucks, so the fish could stand out as the foundation and not be lost in the excellent toppings. Generally, I am ready for the Brussel sprout fade to end - but please keep these on the menu. Excellent. The pumpkin-sweet potato bisque made with coconut milk was a treat for someone forced off of dairy by an allergy. The service was attentive and the restaurant attractive. The place looked spacious and with a lot of light, it looked clean and they seemed to have a nice selection of wines (for those that like it) , they were displayed for people to see, which I thought looked very nice. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I found it odd that there was only 1 restroom for the size of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, he took our order and we were excited. The food took a VERY long time, we were starving, and we had kids with us so that wasn't good. Some of our orders were wrong and so unfortunately we had to wait even longer for the right meal. We didn't order alcohol but we did older a couple of mocktails. I was SUPER excited for them because that's something I always appreciate at a restaurant. I'm sad to say that they were AWFUL!! straight up syrup, not bubbly (some were supposed to have soda in them) not sweet, simply not enjoyable at all, I ended up switching it for a simple club soda, I figured it was a safe bet. When my food came out, it was ok, I had the avocado toast, and it was forgettable, my sister had the chicken and waffles and now THAT was the meal to get, it was large in portion and that chicken was beyond tasty!! My other sister has the lomito sandwich with the chips and it was good, something missing but she enjoyed it. The rest of the food were burgers and they were ok, the kids had burgers and Mac and cheese and they were not tasty according to the children's disinterest in barely touching their food (and they love cheeseburgers). I'm always willing to bypass certain things as long as customer service delivers BUT unfortunately they fell short. We were celebrating an engagement and so we were all very happy and in a great mood, when suddenly workers around us were cleaning up the neighboring tables, and even sweeping very close to us. We thought the place was possibly closing? (Even though it was only 2:15pm). I asked if they were closing and they said that they close the restaurant from 3-4 so their employees can go eat .... I'm not against giving them a break BUT, it really felt like they were kicking us out, we felt pressured to eat fast and wrap it up, not a good feeling, when you are in the zone of happiness. It was our first time there so, I would have appreciated if they would have informed us that the restaurant takes a little break in between and then we would have decided if we wanted to stay or go elsewhere. They did bring a little dessert and 2 mocktails for the newly engaged which was nice, I'll give them that. Overall, I don't think the food and experience was worth me coming back or recommending this place, I'm sure there's other much better places.

I would say 5/5 for our server. The food left much to be desired and was a huge disappointment. The factory French toast was burnt - twice. It was charred and hard on the outside. We returned it the first time since it was inedible and it came out maybe 5% less burnt the second time. My husband got the huevos rancheros tacos and was super gassy until the next morning. This almost never happens with him lol. Chicken Little sandwich was so-so. The cheddar biscuit was overtly salty. The fried chicken itself had no salt. I do not eat Ham but my husband who tried it said the ham cheese and biscuit would almost make it too salty. I asked for some hot honey to balance my sandwich. I got a butterscotch caramel latte which was actually quite good! Black coffee was not good. We could see the chef from the kitchen window. He did not seem very passionate or attentive. I had high hopes for this place but will not be returning especially after the burnt french toast and the GI symptoms my husband experienced.
