Spent 3 days on this strip and this is the best place by far in it. I had - - Almond croissant - LARGE, dry and didn't have enough filling - Cortado - amazing - Doro bowl (chicken) - amazing - breakfast sandwich add avocado You order at the counter and take a number. You bus your own tables. It was very busy all 3 days I ate here but food and drinks came out quickly. The place has a gorgeous interior and really fun menu but I'm rocking 1 star bc it could REALLY benefit from some simple sound treatment. t's extremely loud / especially the kids, chairs against the floor and the clanking and clearing dishes. The staff was kinda young and Gen Z emotionless/blank and bored - irritated to be at work but mostly it was super loud - chairs scraping the floors, voices carrying, etc It's a must do out of the airport or if you live close by. This is really one of those spots that stays consistent no matter how busy it gets and it is always worth the wait. Their Chicken Parmesan Croissant sandwich , with the black truffle chips, combo is just elite. And you HAVE TO finish it off with the Salted Hazelnut Malted Chocolate Chip cookie. HAVE TO! DORO is my go-to spot when I wanna link with friends and just catch up. Bonus: At this location, you get to watch planes take off from BDL. I enjoy Doro. I've only gone a handful of times but never left disappointment. Everything always tastes incredible and full of flavor. Even got it for take out delivered to my work and it still holds its quality. I absolutely love their breakfast potatoes as they are perfectly crisp on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside, with great seasoning! Even the toast is perfectly warm and crisped with some butter. Such a simple dish (two eggs over potatoes and toast) makes me feel like I am eating at a much more elevated establishment. My tiramisu latte came with a thick creamy foam that balanced the drink and my fiancés strawberry boba was light in flavor. Because they're busy it seems like the food is rushed out and the quality goes down. Now I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant it's one of my favorite places to eat at. But it's really busy and I hate that it messes up the quality of the food and what I mean quality is like burnt eggs over cooked steak and not so friendly presence. Perfect place to pick food up on the way to or back from the airport. You can order ahead online, they pack it up nicely, you pick it up on the left-hand side counter, and you are good to go. Service is attentive, but the line is a total PITA in my opinion, but I don't know if that's just the design. If it's busy it's hard to tell where to get in line unless you've been there before. Seating and tables are fine, community based or individual tables available. I like it, but don't do breakfast / brunch often and don't drink coffee. Most of them seem to sport a long hair style. Hair nest would be a plus when handling food especially with long hairs. The part I dislike the most is that the place is among the new trend of Fast Casual dining. You pay at the counter & take a number like you'd do at chick filet , but it does tip suggestions 15% & up when paying. It makes me uncomfortable to select "no tip" under the staff's nose, will he/she spit into my food? I am sure not, but the thought itself is enough to ruin a perfect breakfast experience. Since you don't do sit down orders at the table, Maybe you can at least make the tip suggestion start lower, 5% or 10% like Hot Table panini place does? Good coffee and quick bites, higher priced but good quality Doro is one of those places that works great for a meeting spot before going to Bradley to catch a plane. It's easy to get to, plenty of parking and adjacent parking. Close to the bowling alley and lots of sweet treats and some healthy food options. It's a little pricy, but the quality of everything is usually pretty good to great. You order, get a placard, and unless it's already made it gets sent to your table. I've had many items from them over the months, and I enjoy their coffee. The rotisserie chicken is usually pretty good, and their sandwiches are a little better than Panera. Never was a fan of their cookies, always too crunchy. Need to be warmed up to soften. But it's a nice place, relatively clean and plenty of seating. Since I was driving from 50 minutes away, I placed an online order for pickup at a set time. About 15 minutes before we arrived, I received a phone call from DORO Marketplace informing me that one of the items was sold out. They asked if I wanted a refund or something else--I opted for a different croissant. There was a price difference, but I don't recall seeing a discount on my final charge for the replacement. When we arrived, it was easy to find the pickup counter. Our food was fresh and well packaged. We chose to eat in the cafe after that drive. The cafe was clean and there was plenty of seating indoors and outside. Staff came around periodically to wipe down tables. I had the Mediterranean bowl and a strawberry boba lemonade. The bowl was full and everything was delicious. The lemonade was well balanced between bitter and sweet. My partner had the DORO bowl and blueberry citrus spritz. He enjoyed both, but I did notice that his bowl was less full than mine. For dessert, we had Bavarian cream croissants. They were flaky on the outside, well risen, and the filling was fabulous. I'm already a fan of the Doro over in West Hartford so I was excited to see that they opened one near the airport. Doro is like a Panera Bread except the food quality is better, and it's not as expensive. They also have more variety. They have both indoor and some outdoor seating but it was cold on the morning we went so we sat inside. There are not many places that make croissants in such a variety, usually you only come across plain and chocolate, but Doro has other flavors including pistachio, nutella, and even a berry of some kind. The times I've come for breakfast I always get their breakfast burrito, it's really good every single time. I ask for them to sub out the bacon for avocado; great way to get the day started. They also have sandwiches, salads, house made pizza, other to go food items in a refrigerated area. They even sell Mediterranean olive oil which lines the large table at the very front when you walk in along with bottles of local honey. I owe this place an apology. I was in the area and desperate for a coffee and a small bite so I decided to come back and give it another shot. Although I stand by what I said previously about the crowds and the echoing going on, this was a much more pleasant experience. I got a mocha along with an asiago bagel with cream cheese. Everything was delicious. The bagel was probably one of the best I've ever had. The pastries looked fantastic as well. Perhaps they re vamped their menu since I was there last? I don't know.
