Was put onto Starbread Bakery and the famous senorita bread by my partner years ago and recently got some while we were in San Pablo. There are a few places across the Bay Area that serve senorita bread but this place has been the one that consistently is the best value and quality that we have been to thus far. This bakery is a pretty small place, really only meant for ordering a good number of pastries to-go. We got 20 for around $16 (which hurts a bit considering it was a good amount cheaper just 3-4 years ago) and they came piping hot. The senorita bread is a perfect mix of buttery and fluffy, and better yet, is great even after being in the refrigerator as it can easily be heated back up at a later time. My partner and I made the trek here today since this is the closest location to us and we were craving señorita bread. We should have just gone to the Daly City location instead. I've had star bread before. It's amazing and addictive, you can't stop eating it. My experience of other star bread locations is a fluffy and slightly sweet bread that's piping hot and just amazing. This location got it completely wrong. Each piece was completely drenched underneath, soaking wet, not just moist. The worst part was the slightly sour smell and taste. Well, the doughnut I bought next door was absolutely delicious but I wanted more, so I went into Starbread bakery. The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is the aroma, it's heavenly. This is my Wonderland in the city of San Pablo across the street from the Casino. I went to pick up my mom to run errands, she wasn't ready and needed a little more time. I took the opportunity to go by Star Bread. I was dreaming about it going across the Richmond San Rafael Bridge. There is a heaven, right here. Starbread is the perfect holiday dessert for a potluck or to bring to a party. The best gift to say thank you to a group of people! Inexpensive and fast to order! Came twice in one day to give to a classroom and housing community. Both times took only 5 minute wait or less to get starbread. You cannot order ahead of time but should be no problem. Do not accept bills $100 and over and have a service charge for credit cards. They have other baked goods but their show stopper is their warm seniorita bread which has a buttery sugary filling! And they do it so incredibly well. Their bread is much smaller than I'm used to, but the size was an improvement to any other version I've had before. Two bites, and your señorita bread has disappeared. You stare at your hand, wondering there it's gone, but then, you remember the delightful taste in your mouth and its happy home in your stomach. Perfectly warm, fluffy, buttery, and the perfect touch of sugar. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it. We ordered 25 pieces to bring back for a household of 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 toddler. This was a mistake. We should have ordered more. The bread had completely disappeared in half a day. Easy parking right up front in the shopping center parking lot. No line, smells so good inside, quick service. Note that it is best to take cash, they charge 3% service fee for using credit card no matter how much your total is. The Señorita bread is AMAZING. It is made fresh daily. When we went yesterday, it was served warm and fresh and buttery. After many times of driving by this place, we decided to stop on in. Usually, there is a line but we got lucky and there was no one there. We ordered 24 and 1. It's super inexpensive 2. It is so piping hot! 3. It's pretty darn good. I've never had it but I had heard all about it and it was worth the stop. I am glad I don't like so close! Came here to pick up a box of señorita bread after hearing my coworkers rave about it. I can definitely see what the hype is all about! They're basically these 2-3 bite delicious dinner roll type things with warm sweet butter. MMMM so so good. If you come pick some up, be sure to eat a couple while they're still warm. If not, you can just zap em in the microwave for a couple seconds, or heat them back up in the oven. I was afraid of these being too sweet because I'm not a huge sweets person, and I've heard from filipino friends that they love their sweets, but the señorita bread was the perfect amount of sweet. If you leave em out, you'll probably catch yourself snacking on them throughout the day! You can buy them in increments of 5 pieces! Expect to eat at least 3-4 per person because they're small and so addictive! Also I think if you spend under $10 it's cash only. I peaked at the menu and saw that they offer different fillings in addition to the standard version so I had to give this place a try! I got 5 pieces of the standard señorita bread for $2 along with the pineapple and cream cheese filling for $3 each ( three pieces for each flavor). First off I can not express how fresh the señorita was when I got mine! It was warm like it was just out of the oven! However the ones with fillings weren't warm since they were displayed on the counter. Would be nice if the counter had a warmer of some sort for the bread with fillings. Overall this was good! It is not overly sweet, just the perfect amount of butter and sugar! The bread was nice and fluffy! It was heavenly! Due to the pandemic, this bakery only allows two groups of customers at a time inside. Everyone else had to wait outside until a group exits. Parking: there's a mini lot right in front, but is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. I didn't have an issue finding parking in the lot of a Saturday afternoon! So it's best to have exact change, if possible. No purell or any hand sanitizer available inside. I walked in one Saturday morning and there was no line. I waited for the employee to come out of the back and I had requested my order. She then grabbed a box and proceeded to go to the back. 5 years after my last review, driving to Annie's Annuals to get plants for a winter garden and BAM! Oh yeah! You have to drive right by Starbread to get there! Yes, please. There are physical distancing signs on the door and the staff member who helped me was wearing a mask, which I appreciated. In addition to the original senorita bread, the display shelves had bread with fillings of Nutella, cream cheese, and pineapple. I ordered the original, Nutella and cream cheese. My favorite was the original. Although it was smaller in size in comparison to the Nutella or cream cheese bread, I enjoyed the taste more and loved that it was still warm. I was driving from Muir Woods back to sac and remembered señorita bread was on the way, and was two miles away from the exit and had to made a stop as we had people who never had it!
